    Game total bugs, crashes, 5 days in a row servers down, lost characters, lost 8 60-80+ lvl on crashes on HC, graphics is very good but i cant play this game without stability.

    This game is not only just as good as it was originally. The controller support is superb. Playing the original Diablo2 had issues for my hands as they were begin to hurt from all the mouse clicking. The PS5 controller is ergonomic and allows me to play for hours without jeopardizing my ability to work my development job. The 60 FPS mode is buttery smooth and very enjoyable. The gameThis game is not only just as good as it was originally. The controller support is superb. Playing the original Diablo2 had issues for my hands as they were begin to hurt from all the mouse clicking. The PS5 controller is ergonomic and allows me to play for hours without jeopardizing my ability to work my development job. The 60 FPS mode is buttery smooth and very enjoyable. The game balance is really good and difficult enough to be challenging your first play-through. I also played this on PC and Switch for various reasons and find those ports to be just as good (Switch can't do 60 FPS though). Other reviews here are complaining about server issues but I expect that it will be resolved and I also assume all the bad reviews won't be revisited once the servers are fixed so you should probably ignore them.… Expand

Various features were removed (LAN play was removed, No true offline mode, No mod support despite the promises, the servers barely work, no tcp/ip, females made ugly, no ladder or balances.     I have a very fond memory of the original game and I was happy when this was announced. I've been playing with work colleagues for a week now and there have been a few bugs that i noticed:

    - The multiplayer games sometimes are left hanging on the server and I can't seem to create a game with the same name - The game did crash out of the blue, tho that happened only once - Sometimes    I have a very fond memory of the original game and I was happy when this was announced. Today (10/13) console (PS5) download new Patch and game show your characters, but when you click Play - game dont do anything! Thing is - if you dont downlodad this patch - game work!     D2R was released in September as a completed game. Blizzard's servers have been unplayable. Often, server down times result in loss of items and loss of experience. I do not recommend purchasing what appears to be an unplayable incomplete game.

    As a matter of fact - that is .. objectively .. the game is FAR from a revelation or jaw dropping. It is .. solid. For the most part - it is a remaster that does two things:

    - compatibility with modern systems (widescreen, resolution, networking)
    - updating the graphics

    The first point is the most important one, because the original Diablo 2 simply did not run on a modern system anymore (not without tweaking it more than simply installing the old CDs)

    The second point - ... well, it certainly got an update. Its graphics are modernized - and admittedly better than Diablo III - that is more detailed, less cartoon-ish. Especially the reflections and the light and shadow play is amazing (in levels like catacombs or similar)

    I would not say the graphics really up top of the line though. They "feel" about as good as the old graphics "felt" when it originally came out. (which is .. good enough, not amazing) - models look better, the environment looks better but still like the original one (so, it is a very faithful remaster) - the animations however are kind of bad - even compared to the old one. (they feel less dynamic and really unnaturally stiff)

    All in all, it is very nice to see a "dark" Diablo game with contemporary graphics .. that is challenging and well balanced.

    I am sorry to say that Diablo III, compared to Diablo II is like a "my little pony mod pack" on super easy difficulty. In fact .. i find Diablo III late game content about as challenging as a mobile app clicker game .. while Diablo II takes skill and situational judgement as well as thought (because you cannot simply respec on the go)

    A certain 9/10 for me (well, in the early days .. it has massive server problems, but i would not vote it down for it - as those are bound to get fixed soon enough)    … Expand

Even if ur lucky and the load is not that high, you can lose progress with a rollback, because: the servers are like werewolves, they only seem to work at a full moon.

    Sure graphics are better, boe-hoo. A 4k turd is still a **** turd.

    PS. I did not mention the Amazon Dafoe or some other things that got butchered, because I think I would need more than 5000 characters to swear a lot.    … Expand

Всего лишь стандартное "мы приносим извинения".     I was a long time D2 player back in the 00's. I loved this game. I was super excited to play it again. What was delivered to us was a steaming lump of pretty garbage. The graphics update was gorgeous. That's where the positives end.

    The lobby was better back in the day and is practically useless in its current form.     The servers are routinely down 10-12 hours with no explanation and often come with rollbacks which means you lose gear and progress gains at random intervals. If you manage to get connected you are frequently unable to join friends games or public games and will receive error messages ranging from "that game doesn't exist" or is "no longer joinable". The BNET friends list integration is janky at best. If you managed to get into a game, good luck staying in it between the servers instability and the client's inability to run for longer than an hour without crashing. At first I thought that was just me, but no, it's apparently a large chunk of people that experience consistent crashing.

    The design decisions on the UI are baffling. For 12 years the D3 interface has had the exit button on the bottom right. The delete character button is now there and there is next to no difference between the delete character prompt and the exit game prompt. They claim they can't restore your characters but the ability to roll your characters back shows that this is either intentional, negligent or lazy as hell. It's 2021, who's out here running servers with no backup/restore ability.

    Blizzard has massive bank. There is no excuse for the state of this game. None. If you've got that much money and your product is performing like this you're just out here grabbing as much cash as possible and giving zero concern to your customers. Good luck on getting a refund, I've been arguing for two days that they've sold me broken garbage but have gotten no where. My advice to you is force a charge back. They've done nothing but bait and switch us at this point. The two Beta periods I was able to participate in were much more stable and functional than what has been delivered for public consumption.

    This could all have had some of the sting lessened if we were communicated with but that's apparently not in the budget either. We get nothing but vague patch updates and copypasta messages about investigating the issues.

    If you're like me and played this game in it's original incarnation, don't waste your money. That Blizzard is long gone. The old game still works and there are solutions out there for playing it on a modern system. You're better off getting your hand on that using the Plugy mod. It's much more stable, you won't have to deal with the servers deleting your stuff and you can back up your characters locally. Not that you'll have to, the old interface wasn't designed by an imbecile and works quite well.

    Save your cash. There are better games from better developers. This is just exploitation of my generation's longing for the games of yesteryear at this point. I miss the old Blizzard like a lot of people do but this current incarnation is not them. Not even close.    … Expand

    Almost a month after it's release, and the game is still experiencing daily server crashes. Technical support is a joke, they are unable or unwilling to fix the problems. Better to stay away, at current state it's not worth a single penny.

    5 days in a row now, servers are down. People are losing progress, items and their patience. Add to this, the communication is nonexistent. Unplayable, therefore 0.

    4th day in a row the servers are down for a brand new, €40 release. This is pathetic. When I requested a refund they flipped because too many hours "played" which is also a joke. I hardly played like 5 hrs in a week which for a game this caliber is next to nothing. Youtube is filled with promotion but nobody talks about the dark side. Disapointed

    The game itself is epic fun as it always has been, the improved graphics and quality of life changes are very nice but it's all redundant if you can't log into the the servers to play the actual game... refusing to refund people but not communicating/fixing the issues... drops it to a Zero!! you    As a long standing player of the original Diablo 2 LoD i am appalled at the state of D2R!!

    Let's take an an old game. Juste develop things to force to use Blizz Servers. Shut down Servers. Ta-Dam ! It worked 1 week so Blizz can refuse refounds, and no you can't access multiplayer. Fantastic !

    Paying 40 bucks and not being able to play the game 3/4 of the time is a REAL PLEASURE, if you're not an old veteran of the game you shouldn't even consider buying it. 40 bucks for a visual upgrade is NOT ACCEPTABLE

    Game is unplayable. Their servers are plagued with problems since the game launch. I got refunded after a week of problems: servers down, characters missing/lost, crashes and more crashes.

    Well.... This is now to much! Game is unplayable due to constant servers issues. Every day for 6 days now the servers are off for several hours. Also when they shut down You lose all Your progress. Therefore its been 6 days of wasted time to me.

    The game is really well done, I love the new graphics and have huge nostalgia but it is of no importance while You cant actually play the game.    Well.... This is now to much!     Server crashes/down on daily basis. Huge random rollbacks deleting days or even more than week of character progres wiping out XP and farmed gear with nothing more than "deal with it" from blizz staff. They are even deleting posts and silencing authors for reporting issuess on their forum. AVOID this game and Blizzard games overal.

    5+ days of server issues. If you like to play offline, then your mileage may vary. If you like to play online, you won't because the servers are down. Every. Day. As a Diablo fan going back to the 90's, this is really disappointing, and this is probably my last Blizzard game.

    Game is as good as ever when it works...which is unfortunately not very often even a month after launch.
    -Server down half the day every day
    -Regular crashes when servers are up.
    -Regular roll backs after server crashes lose levels/items.
    -Virtually zero communication from blizzard about timescales for fixing any of this.

    Can't recommend.

    Графоний класс, на этом плюсы всё. Нет модов (модеры сказали - делать не будем без сетевой игры), кастомных серверов и TCP/IP нет. Цензура напрягает. Ну и вся игра через Battle.net который 3ий день подряд ложится на 2-5 часов в дневное время, и данную ситуацию не    Diablo 2 Disconnected Хорошая игра.     If by any chance the servers work, the online is filled with messages from items/gold sellers.

    That "remake" is as expensive to buy as he's bad.

    A multi-billion dollar company, who's sole purpose is to provide an online gaming service is incapable of keeping a newly launched game online for more than 15 consecutive hours without 6 hours of down-time.

    The game servers have been down 19% of the time since launch 3 weeks ago. There is no communication from Blizzard. This week alone has seen outages over 24+ hours and counting (its Wednesday morning right now). This is absolutely shameful- they don't care about their customers.

    +Gore censure what is this? Your recrut block in every wall and corner so if you run you can probably be alone in figth and he will not find a way. Your character will also block in every single corner. And this Violent filter...

    Играл несколько часов без остановки, почти закончил 1ый акт и тут у меня пропал персонаж из игры. Думал восстановят всё через пару часов, но нет - персонаж пропал навсегда.. Сама игра отличная, но это скорее заслуга не нынешнего состава (в особенности руководства) компании, а ещё тех специалистов, которые в своё старое доброе время пытались вложить душу в продукт. А тут просто перерисовалиИграл несколько часов без остановки, почти закончил 1ый акт и тут у меня пропал персонаж из игры. Думал восстановят всё через пару часов, но нет - персонаж пропал навсегда.. А тут просто перерисовали графику под новый современный лад (спасибо хоть за это) и продали продукт по завышенной цене, чтобы просто напросто сорвать деньги.     A lot of bugs.
    Too much downtime without proper explanation.
    40$ spent.
    Several night plans already gone wrong because of downtime.

    -1 for web-side/server-side bugs,character losts,can't connect and server "wipes"
    -1 for graphic/texture bugs like minimap from previus game on current minimap,invisible walls wich brokes spell casts,teleport to textures above location and "stuck".

Графика конечно классная, но требования через чур ребята....на моей gtx 670 и fhd мониторе это жесть! Ну и конечно же цензура, как в игре, так и в чате. Game needs better server infrastructure for europe. Dosn't seem like bliz Will do that. Too costly for them i suppose. Do not reccomend if you have to play om EU servers.… Expand

    Diablo II: Resurrected is far from perfect. The changes in character design are likely to rile up returning players, and the archaic gameplay probably won’t agree with younger generations weaned on more streamlined, sophisticated experiences. While I appreciate that this legendary title is now available in an improved format, it’s not a caveat-free recommend.

    Diablo II returns with refreshed graphics and unaltered gameplay (apart from some small improvements). It’s as fun as I remembered, so I quickly felt at home and gave in to nostalgia. However, it’s hard not to notice that beneath revamped visuals lies a 21 years old design. [12/2021, p.32]
