    Hour long queue from 120 to get to the offline screen and enter the queue again at 220. This is next level incompetence. The game itself is just as great as it always has been, but the inability to play it makes that null and void.     Extremely disappointed. It is impossible to play online. If you play offline, you cannot use those chars to play online. Servers keep crashing, you keep getting errors, etc... They have turned one of the best games into a total piece of garbage.

    Alas I have to rate D2R very low. Crashes after a few hours play, very long log in queue's from a company that makes Billions a year, and the list goes on. Vicarious Visions (alas now part of Activision Blizzard) done a great job on the graphical overhaul. But to be let down by very poor standards of the servers from Activision. If they get the servers actually letting people into play theAlas I have to rate D2R very low.     The game is an utter mess. Many can't play at all online and others have to wait hours just to log in. Completely unacceptable for a 21 year old game.

    Is it a good game? Yes! But... Server errors, random crashes a now a big queue (more than 40 minutes) to play. Its ridiculous. Fix it NOW

    Это просто дно! Жаль художников которые работали над ремастером, у них получилось передать атмосферу просто отлично. А вот с технической части это ужас. Пропадают предметы которых вернуть увы нельзя! Больше 100 часов игры просто вникуда когда пропали редкие руны. ЭХ жаль... Но "0" Эта самая адекватная оценка этой игре на данный момент.Это просто дно!     One month after release the servers continue to get worse. You can't get a refund because you have to do that within a few days of purchase. Too bad pleasure didn't let us know they were going to let everyone down a month after lunch. Save your money for something else if you were expecting a good multiplayer experience.

    Very good game if you played D2 twenty years ago.

    But, It's been 3 or 4 weeks I can't play (like so many others) because of connexions problems. If I want to play, I have to wait 1 hour and half every time. So I can't play and Blizzard refuse refunding because I have already played at the beginning.... What a shame...

    I don't believe in giving games a 0, but this one was hard. Blizzard let the Diablo 3 hating purists have every single demand they wanted and they STILL hate the game, not even for their horrid server issues. These people ruined it to get EXACTLY what they wanted and they still hate it. In the end, D3 fans don't like the game and D2 fans don't like the game. On top of that, the game isI don't believe in giving games a 0, but this one was hard. Blizzard let the Diablo 3 hating purists have every single demand they wanted and they STILL hate the game, not even for their horrid server issues. These people ruined it to get EXACTLY what they wanted and they still hate it. In the end, D3 fans don't like the game and D2 fans don't like the game. On top of that, the game is almost impossible to play because of server issues. It took them a month just to implement a server queue and my average wait time is over an hour if I really want to play, being 550+ in queue. That queue does not move fast.

    So to flip things a bit, I'll save server issues for that, but these are the issues with the game:

    - Inventory management is awful
    - Inventory size is a joke
    -Town portals are expensive
    - Leveling is a total joke and takes far, far too long
    - Diablo is the most overpowered boss I've ever seen. I've yet to land a single hit on him despite having killed every single previous boss on the first try. Diablo has killed my entire party in a single stomp every time. I honestly haven't even seen him at all. he kills me from off-screen
    - Hit registration is nearly non-existent. I have a 99% chance to hit yet roughly 80% of my attacks just vanish into thin air.
    - When you play offline, the game no longer randomly generates the maps each login
    - When you play offline, the stash is reduced to barely 80% of the online stash and you have only one single page. There's enough room for your quest items, meaning the things you MUST keep, and absolutely nothing else.

    Then there's the server issues:
    - Server queue wasn't implement until recently. The switch got it yet another week later
    - Server queue length is criminal and can take in the upwards of multiple hours
    - Playing on weekends or evening is not possible. The servers are full
    - Let's not forget the rubber banding that has resulted in me getting killed multiple times and no, it is absolutely not my internet.
    - Even better, it disconnects at random. It's not all that common, but happens once or twice every other or every 3rd playthrough. Once disconnected, it's back to the queue

    I'm only playing it cause I want to finish the story, but I've already gotten refunds for my Xbox and PC. I've only got it on Switch and I only play it handheld. Docked is.....seriously ugly. I will never understand how the game runs significantly worse than D3 on identical hardware. I've also never seen a game that had not one, but TWO betas, and still managed to launch in a far worse state than the beta.    … Expand

This is the worst online implementation I've ever seen for any game. We're over 1 month past release andExtremely buggy and constant server issues.     Don't buy this game, I can't log in to the game for an hour and a half because of the queue on the server. I wrote to the support service about a refund, was refused.

    Clicking a game to see how long it has been going on or how many players also barely works, and it won't even parse the game info before the list refreshes again and the previous game selection is lost again.

    A GIANT CLUSTERF*CK, as expected by now from blizzard.
    I guess we could have known after the fallacy or WC3 remastered.

    Сегодня захожу я через неделю отсутствия. Да мне 30 лет и у меня не вагон времени. Вы 435 в очереди. Спасибо. Я же покупал симулятор стояния в очереди, а не игру из своего детства.    Три недели все было отлично. Играл по сети с другом, касался прошёл норму. Было пара вылетов и в паре мест тормозило, ничего серьёзного.

    They would probably prefer it if everyone pays 40 bucks, plays the story once and uninstalled it to relieve the server.

    This is really great remaster of Diablo 2. Graphic was really perfectly done. They left almost everything as original game, which helps to get same experience of original Diablo 2.

    Folks this is not remake it is remaster. All mechanic and content are should be exactly same that was in 2000. And this what really should be rated.

    This was on 2 first weeks of release at September 21, but now endless disconnects and queue for Battle.net (For simple playing) makes this game 2 of 10.

    Corrent issues with game are not developers fault. But yes of managers, which are salling it without providing enough computing resources for online game. They even decided to remove LAN play that even makes this issue bigger.
    Possibly proper limited sales per region in waves was preventing this issue (With correct perdiction of computing resources growing for online). And leaving everyone happy and keeping hype.    … Expand

    I feel that this game is rather unpolished on release. That is, there's hardly any difference between this version and its beta. And it's still going off on it. I see that they reworked the graphics in their own image and the engine based off of it so I like that.

    Even after several patches the game is mostly unplayable. Load times are atrocious, graphics are so-so at best, constant crashes, constant failures to create games.

    Worst of all is the chat filter that blocks cuss words on a game played mostly by 30+ year olds.

    OH NO! Connection error cant make a game. 10 minutes later... OH YEAH! I finally got to make my game and it only took 248 tries. 23 minutes into a magic finding run, backed out of game. Wow that is weird, but i can just get back into my game right? Error    Want to log into the game, get in queue. 45 minutes later... Oh thank you blizzard for gracing me with a short wait time.

    This is the D2R experience. Despite how good the game looks, how great the nostalgia, the fact is that this game has so many unplayable features and crashes, it makes me embarrassed to say I bought this game. IDK why I thought Blizzard would have made something good, when they have been been feeding us **** through a mesh screen for so long. Hopefully the company just gives up after all the lawsuits and bad reviews in the next couple months before they can disappoint us with a Diablo 4 and whatever half ass experience they are going to give us in the future.    … Expand

    Game was nearly unplayable at Launch. They finally introduced a queue system to "fix" the strain on their servers. I don't know about pc or ps4 but on xbox the queue to get in takes about an hour on average at this point, and about half the time when I get to front of queue I get a message that says "could not connect to server" then I get kicked into offline mode and have to start over inGame was nearly unplayable at Launch. All I want to do is play as my Online character, which was hyped up to be able to play no matter what console you have (and now I can't access them at all!).     Let me just start this by saying, the original diablo 2 that came out 20+ years ago is still to this day my favorite game of all time. When I heard that blizzard was remastering the game, I could hardly contain my excitement. The game looks incredible, Vicarious visions did an amazing job on that end. Unfortunately the greed of blizzard has overwhelmed the hard work of VV. Blizzard REFUSESLet me just start this by saying, the original diablo 2 that came out 20+ years ago is still to this day my favorite game of all time. When I heard that blizzard was remastering the game, I could hardly contain my excitement. The game looks incredible, Vicarious visions did an amazing job on that end. Unfortunately the greed of blizzard has overwhelmed the hard work of VV. Blizzard REFUSES to spend any of their massive amount of recourses towards servers, and unsurprisingly the game is basically unplayable. I'm not usually one to complain but I honestly felt the need to make an account on here just to leave this review, to maybe save 1 person from wasting their money. I literally spend more time waiting in que or just not able to play at all than I'm actually able to play. The whole project just reeks of a giant cash grab from Blizzard and that really stinks. Every day they tweet about the "issues" with the servers while the game sits unplayable and nothing changes. Majorly disappointed.… Expand

Not a new Diablo game. Therefore, I think this is a solid 7. Not a single point more, because of their fear to actually improve the game, but no less because they actually did not f it up.… Expand

    This game removed the ability to remove immunities in Hell Mode. It is literally impossible to solo this game unlike the original. You need at least a pally, sorc, and necro to kill the Ubers. The ninja looting is garbage and playing with other people you don't know is **** You won't get any gear.     This is an amazing remaster! It keeps the feel of the original game while making it look modern and beautiful. I haven’t played Diablo 2 in 20 years but I got sucked right back in!

    A few minor server issues at launch because of too many players are not enough to bring this down.

Your online character currently cannot be played offline. The game is not a bad remake, it just has incompetent clowns who released it in a poor state.     The game WOULD be great if Actiblizz could fix the servers.
    I don't understand how people can give his a pass. The rollback is insane, happens all the time, there is ALWAYS a queue to play that takes 30-45 mins and if you're playing during peak times it can easily take over an hour. This makes it UNPLAYABLE
    When the stars align and the servers are in working order, its a great game.

    Diablo 2 Resurrected is as good as always and looks pretty nice. Unfortunately Blizard is testing this game on players. I lost some quite good loot due to server problems that bothers me from game launch. Little update i changed score from 4 to 2 becouse of absurd changes they made lately. If you are not a hardcore fan of old game avoid this and blizzard as well.

The servers are down all the time as well and there are tons of rollbacks, so a lot of the times you lose all the progress you accomplished in the last couple of hours or so...

    If server issue can be avoided by playing offline, the game, however, crash far too much, making it just unplayable. It's unacceptable for a released product. Even an alpha release doesn't crash that much...

    The servers are down. I waited in line for an hour then it didn't load and I had to wait over an hour again. I will never buy a Blizzard game for the full amount again.

    VV knocked it out of the park. They did a fantastic job. They should be very proud of what they did.

    As for the server issues, as an online, single player ... player, I have had few issues in the last month. The outages were merely an short inconvenience.

    Activision Blizzard got cheap and made the game entirely online so people can't get a hold of it for free, but because they made it online only they screwed up a bunch of features; no lan support, no mod support, laggy servers that drop you, your map layout will reset after every game if just playing on single player.

    I know a lot of people don't like the woke culture, the **** launch w/ servers, but I hate the 0 bombing... I love the game thus far. I never play games on launch date, so maybe that is why I'm less frustrated than most. Anyways, this takes me back to when I was a teenager. The graphic upgrades are phenomenal. Gameplay is great. Love it.

    Game is unplayable. On most platforms there are queue, but on nintendo switch there is no way to log in. There is only an error "you cant connect to battle net". Shame on you Blizzard

    Diablo II: Resurrected is a failure. If you want to play the game, have in mind that they don't have a way to restore player data. Any random rollbacks are time lost for you. No refunds will be given if the game removes your progress or even deletes your hero by a random chance. We are paying full price for a beta game, announced as fully released.

    I think they did a good job with remastering Diablo 2. But oh dear, the bugs and the servers! When do companies start to learn not to ship a buggy mess? I am very disappointed and surprised that Blizzard did not take into account the servers, did no one really question the legacy code of the servers or test it? The queue system is terrible.

    The game hasn't been working for two weeks now. You cannot play the purchased game, and if you try it will be your turn. But even if this does not stop you, then in ten minutes you will be disconnected.

    This is a best game with maximum additive gameplay. This game was released completed. I was happy to play and ended game on maximum level of hardcore. I have complit Diablo II. Achivment complit. But after 3 weeks after release servers still dont work. Why developers? Why the most popular mode don't work?

    Now it’s time for the bad news. Even on the newer console (Xbox series s) it runs into various problems, and we can get to the other systems here in a little bit. On the series s, it often runs into animation problems, there are many examples of this. The ghosts and spectres lose their colour/all ghost animation so they just look like floating bones, you can’t see any of your sorceress skills, pally skills, curses, etc which can ruin intense gameplay moments when you don’t know if you should be attacking or not because you don’t know if you are cursed. The only way to fix that was to restart the game, which used to be a easy-ish fix, now with the new queue patch they added, toss that out the window. Waits of 100-200 people, sometimes more, which have equaled almost an hour of wait time in some cases, result in extreme frustration. They also do not allow you to play your Sp account while you wait in queue, and for those who want to get in a Diablo experience while still waiting for the online mode to finally work again, this cannot even be the case anymore. Another common glitch that occurred to me is when I took a town portal, occasionally my game would crash. It never used to bother me that much but now with the introduction of the queue, it’s a prospect that fills me with gamer dread when I see my game accidentally crash, wondering how long it will be until I can get back in now.

    Now some problems with the older generation of consoles. None of them better hope to ever actually complete Uber’s at all. Also don’t even think of playing Hc because there are issues that are 100% not your fault. I’ve seen others connection interruptions kill their hc characters cause they can’t react before they drop. Also in regards to the Uber thing (this statement also applies to small condensed areas, with waypoints, temples, portals, etc) it used to be that your character was immune until you fully loaded, now your character loads in before you officially do, making you easy pickings for the monsters that are sometimes there. People are often dead before they are fully loaded in and given a chance to react, making many basic interactions (going through portals or down and stairs/level of dungeon) a interruption of gameplay rather then a smooth transitional one.

    This review I wrote entirely on my phone, I am not a fast Texter or typer on my phone and my grammar isn’t the best. Yet I was able to write this entire review, along with putting my phone down, going to wash some dishes, making 2 coffees and cooking some food, come back in a queue that started at 131 and still have 20 people in front of me waiting to get in. 7/10 if the game didn’t have the queue now and didn’t have connection issues before/now. The graphic fails was a letdown before, now with the queue it’s 10x worse. Also the fact with the older consoles not doing so well, + the servers and them not letting people making new games as fast and other stuff… I hesitate to give it a 1/10… I mean the last point defiantly belongs to VV and I can’t take that away from them, they deserve that much atleast :/ otherwise 0/10 cause the queue wait is one of the worse things ever    … Expand

    Diablo II: Resurrected is far from perfect. The changes in character design are likely to rile up returning players, and the archaic gameplay probably won’t agree with younger generations weaned on more streamlined, sophisticated experiences. While I appreciate that this legendary title is now available in an improved format, it’s not a caveat-free recommend.

    Diablo II: Resurrection is outdated return of the legend, but it brings such a perfect atmosphere and such a wonderful audiovisual processing, that serie fans will be excited.

    Diablo II returns with refreshed graphics and unaltered gameplay (apart from some small improvements). It’s as fun as I remembered, so I quickly felt at home and gave in to nostalgia. However, it’s hard not to notice that beneath revamped visuals lies a 21 years old design. [12/2021, p.32]
