    You did beta twice, but the first two weeks after release still feels like another beta. All the issues you should fix were never fixed.

    You blame us are playing different: we have created too many games. It's been 20-ish years we play it this way and you only realize that today? So it's all our fault?

    The game itself is great and looks very good. I have spent in the original Diablo 2 handreds of hours. And now after I purchased the remaster I have loved to play more. But I can't.

    Who would expect a game in this era will have such horrible server issues. Unable to log in every single night and you may have to line up after few hundreds of players.     Game is still unplayable. Long queue to play??? Absurd and ridiculous, server managed by 12 year olds who has no no clue what is going on, Frequent crashes, 5 days straight server crashed, rollbacks wasting time.     Cannot play online since many, many days already, as servers are dying and Blizzard, company that used to have MILLIONS of WoW players, can't even fix this issue many weeks after the release..

    The game is ok, albeit a bit repetative.

    But, the servers are almost never working, stuck in an endless login queue. If you are lucky and manage to log in, you will crash or disconnect after a few minutes of play.
    Here, have a rating of zero, as the game is UNPLAYABLE.

    Payed 40 euros for it, installed, try to run it and failed, had to install windows 10 because for some reason a 20 year old game does not work on windows 7, finally was able to run it only to see that I'm on 200 position in queue, cant play offline because it's my first time paying it so i have to go online because for some reason a 20 year old game now requires    My experience so far:

    Player queue. I paid for a game to wait for 20-30 min to log in to play. and after game crash i have to repeat process. and still plenty of crashes on diff systems.

    Daily 1+ hour long of queuing, and sometimes you get booted off in the process, forcing you to re enter the queue again. Extremely poor quality and performance, with zero support from Blizzard. I do not recommend this game at all.

    Is it a good game? Yes, it is. As good as the old one.

    But in 2021, sold an old game for 40 USD, with massive server issues after 2 weeks of the release is not acceptable. This is not what a game should be.

    To be honest, this is an old game. It's already priced at it's maximum. With the disastrous issues, I only want to tell Blizzard: Die. Blizzard. Die.

    Was stupid enough to buy twice since I loved the original. Since implementing the queue system I haven't been able to play once on PC. Error message after every 20-50 minute queue wait. On switch out of hundreds on attempts I have only been able to connect to online once since the introduction of queues.

    2. Clothed (censored) the mobs in the game.
    3. There is no adequate modding support.
    4. Left outdated and unnecessary aspects of the game.
    The game is not worth it to even waste time downloading pirates. Bottom.

I have to question the validity of the critics giving the ratings as they blindly ignore the year, price, and hype around this game. It has completely fallen short of being praise worthy.     I rather play the game in its original form than this replica without local multiplayer.

    Connection interrupted many times, wish I could host my own server instead of their instable servers. Online hardcore server will guaranteed kill you as you will teleport some times at the worst time. Losing connection = losing progress and loot on the ground.

    Unit pathing/collisions is identical, pretty sure they just updated the graphic engine and left everything else untouched. Graphics are slightly better but don't feel better with how clunking movement and world interaction is. Not to mention players blocking doorways etc.

    Inventory management is still a nightmare. They added tabs to the storage for shared storage which is nice. But, doesn't improve potion management. Should be able to set slots to auto pickup and slot specific potions. Also should be able to set auto use conditions.

    Multiplayer loot is first come first serve. Makes for a lot of communication required around loot which slows gameplay. Would be nice if loot would be suggested based on class/build. Considering the cost for the game.

    The original Diablo 2 I would give a 9/10 considering it was made 20+ years ago. This game you can only rate it on the reskin that it is. I would say they did a 10 out of 10 on updating everything artistically. But, unfortunately this is a game and visuals only affect the first impression and reality sets in and in this case I'll stick to the original game than this joke "resurrection" that tarnishes the original's legacy with no improvements to the game mechanics including no balance improvements.    … Expand

    weeks of unstable servers limiting play and now there is a queue to wait 30 minutes to play on unstable servers...so you can wait in the queue again. one of the worst game launches i ever experienced

    Do not waste your money on this game. Servers are literally unplayable for 8+ hours a day for the past 9 days. Blizz is not giving refunds and have gone as far as to blame the players for farming to much causing their out dated codes from the original game to crash

    The server issues have made the game unplayable on console with no communication from Blizzard. It's unfortunate but the game is only okay if you enjoy offline and even then it has some serious bad bugs with shared stash inventory disappearing.

    Awful service. Down the same time for several days in a row, probably around a week, with no communication or warning. Rolling back of characters with little warning. Blaming players for playing the game the wrong way to bring the servers down.

    I regret giving this company money. Never again.

    I did not wanted to make a review on the game since I was enjoying nostalgia pretty much. Now, there are a lot of issues with servers and they have decided to implement queues to deal with it. Instead of taking time and resources to actually fix their stuff, they put blame on the customer and blocks them from playing. Its not even a product anymore but a laughing stock.

    Bought the game yesterday. I would like to give more but I can’t play the game at all so that’s 70$ straight down the drain. Stuck in a “can’t access the server to let you play”. I even have to be online to play offline. Any game that you can actually play after buying it deserve more than this rating.

This game is a borderline scam: you will spend 40 euros to stare at your queueing number (which is usually between 100 and ∞).     Game is gorgeous, when you can play. Constant disconnects, crashes and interruptions. A few days ago they added login queues where you have to wait 30-45 mins or maybe more just to enter the game. If game crashes, you go through the queues again. Awful experience, great game when it is playable

    Being a big fan of the Diablo franchise, I had a lot of patience with this game. But even I have to admit now: This game is not worth a penny. Usually, it does not work (I can usually only play on weekends and on weekends you cannot login most of the time, even weeks after the release now). If you can login, there are many issues which should have been fixed during a beta or alpha:

    Longtime fan, but blizzard dropped the ball there. Game itself in terms of graphics is amazing. Too bad it is nearly unplayable due to the numerous connectivitty isues, crashes, lags, unable to create rooms, bugs, server downtime and queues. Outrageous and they made me sure to never buy a Blizz game again.

    The game itself is nice. The gameplay is like classic d2(+lod). BUT the envroiment (battlenet) does not work properly. We hade like 5 times 15:00 - 18:00~21:00 downtimes in the last 10days. Now they set up waiting-queues, u ve to wait 10-30min just to play. The game itself crashs to desktop frequently.

    Huge amounts of bugs. Rediculous server problems, game crashes at completely random times. Server queue wait times are a joke. Low queue number extreme wait time, followed by common failure to connect when complete or crash soon after getting onto server.

    No hope in sight.

    The way this game works is a joke - day after day it's getting worse. My baby son is sleeping now, I wanted to take a rest and enjoy playing the game which I PAID FOR, full price. But I can't - there is a queue and my place is 242! I know Blizzard is busy with sexual harassment, but at least they should deliver what they took money for.

    Its a really good remaster, but Blizzard is going to hell. Add join queue, so you have to wait at least half an hour to get to lobby. Its shame. I love Diablo, but I hate Blizzard. Its almost unreal, what they did with that name - Blizzard. FU guys, FU!!!

    I loved playing Diablo 2, 20 years ago, and i have really been looking forward to this release. And to be fair, what i have managed to play so far has been awesome... BUT; servers crashing, connection issues, and now a queue just to log in? I don't    Blizzard, you are really forcing my hand here; i have never before felt the need to review any game i've played... but this is too much.

    I loved playing Diablo 2, 20 years ago, and i have really been looking forward to this release.
    And to be fair, what i have managed to play so far has been awesome...
    BUT; servers crashing, connection issues, and now a queue just to log in?
    I don't have hours and hours to play every day, so whenever i actually have an hour to play, i would prefer not to wait 30min just to log in, just to spend most of my remaining time waiting in the lobby because i joined/left a game too fast. (for the past 2 weeks i have barely been able to play the game i spend 40eu purchasing, and it feels like evey hour i spend, i get 15min of actual game time)

    So what choise do i have?

    Pre patch - game play from the range of 5 to 30 mins before getting disconnected by "you connection has been interrupted" message.

    After patch - login queue of at least 30 mins at 1 am --> 5 mins of game play --> "your connection has been interrupted" --> login queue of at least 30 mins --> 5 mins of game play --> "your connection has been interrupted" --> on endless repeat...

    Paid $40 to sit in queue for 45 minutes to play with friends. This is the way you fix server issues? i will never buy another Blizzard game again, complete trash of a company.

    Я написал запрос на рефанд средств и получил отказ с кучей слов о том, что они стараются сделать все возможное, чтобы починить игру. Но главное, я слишком много в нее наиграл и по-этому фиг мне, а не возврат денег. Как говорится, с уважением, пошел на х..р .

    Это последняя игра, которой я и многие другие дали шанс. Той близзард больше нет и уже ни когда не будет.    … Expand

    2. YOU NEED BNET to even play. What a disgusting move. You don't have truely offline mode, that means even if you play single player, you have all kinds of delay like a thrid class indie online game. And I haven't mention lost of progress, lsot of connection. For **** sake, blizzard's server are garbage.
    3. With this updated graphic, it don't really look up to date with current graphic standards, but the performance is so bad. Constantly stutering and framedrops. Blizzard put their interest before their customer, very good practice.
    4. Well, all other annoying and outdated design in this game are perserved. That's very freaking lazy. And they even managed to add more new bugs.

    Updated: Tried a few mods recently found another huge disgusting change made by blizzard, other than ban mods. In single-player, you use to keep the map you explored, so if you want to farm any boss, it's very easy to do once you explored the map. However, in the online single-player mod(I know how stupid this sounds), your map resets every stupid time! And you can't use plugin to show the map. What can I see, blizzard can really find a way to make a 20 years old game even worse than the orginial

    И хоть от современной Blizzard давно не выходило ничего стоящего, Ressurrected могу порекомендовать всем, кроме олдфагов у которых забрали их любимые ж*пы.

    0/10 Game ran great during the beta, once they had my money they initiated a Queue system(just to play the game you paid for twice) Blizz acts like it's perfectly fine to piss all over it's customers during a pandemic, never buying another product from them ever again. This is the last straw.

    Bought the game to play with a friend for the long weekend since we both had work off, servers have been down all three mornings, got a few hours in lastnight, fun forusre, but no lobbies or chat or console make trades impossible. Not sure I'll be able to get into this. Hopefully they offer refunds, as I was expecting to get much more out of my purchase.

    I really love how they overhauled the graphics. The game looks beautiful and runs fantastic… on YouTube…the ONLY stable way to enjoy the gameplay of this game.

    Servers are down almost daily with barely any updates. Expect to not play on the weekends. Everything overhauled except server stability—20 years later and this is just proof that everything doesn’t get better in the future.

For over a week there has been connection issues, now there's a queue, you can wait for 30 minutes up to an hour currently just to get kicked soon after.     First, it's , unsurprisngly, a buggy mess with the worst server system in existence ( and while it's more "Blizzard" fault here than "diablo 2R", it still make the game itself simply unplayable. ). You will have to wait HOURS in a queue before you can play and if you somehow bother to do it, you cannot quick spam games because their server are horrible ( and in a game where rare loot areFirst, it's , unsurprisngly, a buggy mess with the worst server system in existence ( and while it's more "Blizzard" fault here than "diablo 2R", it still make the game itself simply unplayable. ). You will have to wait HOURS in a queue before you can play and if you somehow bother to do it, you cannot quick spam games because their server are horrible ( and in a game where rare loot are one in several thouhsands chance of drop, you WANT to quickly do stuff ).
    Secondly, the inventory is incredibly tiny and storage is... nearly non existant. you will need to create new characters to store items and then juggle between every mule character as you play
    Thirdly, it's a cooperative with no cooperation whatsoever. player will rush everything that drop on the ground no matter if it's for their class ( because yeah, loot fall of the ground in pub game. enjoy NEVER getting a single loot ).
    Fourthly, the balance of the game is TERRIBLE with some classes insanely better than the other ( hammerdin does insane damage beyond ANYTHING / Sorc are the only class that can use Magic Find )

    Diablo 2 as decent when it came out because, well, gaming wasn't as advanced/developped as it is nowadays.

    Diablo II: Resurrected is far from perfect. The changes in character design are likely to rile up returning players, and the archaic gameplay probably won’t agree with younger generations weaned on more streamlined, sophisticated experiences. While I appreciate that this legendary title is now available in an improved format, it’s not a caveat-free recommend.

    Diablo II returns with refreshed graphics and unaltered gameplay (apart from some small improvements). It’s as fun as I remembered, so I quickly felt at home and gave in to nostalgia. However, it’s hard not to notice that beneath revamped visuals lies a 21 years old design. [12/2021, p.32]
