Completely non-sensical. Obi-wan is made to look like a complete idiot. Not to mention that this series now creates plot holes within A New Hope. I wish this series had never been created, did nothing but hurt the Star Wars name.

It's a pity that Disney is trying to buy a rating for this series. We were all looking forward to this series, but objectively it turned out badly. Obi-Wan is the sufferer, Vader is too early. Contradicts canon in several occasions. Some of the scenes are so amateurish you would think it's done by kids as a school project.

So disappointed. So many parts of this series where you don't even have to be a fan to scratch your head. A 5 year old looking girl running away from a couple of grown aliens for like 10 minutes, Obi Wan being the weakest Jedi ever existed,So disappointed. Absolutely horrible show. Don't believe the fake reviews. Incredibly boring, huge plot holes, and the characters act unbelievably stupid. I can't believe they spent so much money and it still looks so cheaply done.

Continuity and logic issues but that is minor to me. Bigger: The tired trope of males being weak dumb losers and females being smarter and better. A few cool looking scenes don't save it. Riva is yet another Mary Sue character. Sad.

In terms of subject matter, the show is really a non-starter, since there can be little tension when we know that the main characters, like Ben and Uncle Owen, will thrive at least up to 1977 (“Episode IV: A New Hope”). Can someone at Disney please explain to us how Deborah Chow qualifies for the position of showrunner? The quality of the scriptwriting is so abysmal that one wonders if the writers have ever actually watched any science fiction. With regard to the acting, the performances by Ewan McGregor and Joel Edgerton are consummate as we have come to expect. As for the rest, it appears that Disney has earmarked the greater share of the show’s budget for effects. — The Third Sister is about as threatening as a sock puppet with a frowny face. Yelling and acting out emotionally — well as emotional as one can squeeze from an otherwise wooden performance — is neither intimidating nor threatening: “sticks and stones, ya sithy!” — Leia is a reminder that force-feeding or “force projecting” (?; looking at you Mr. Johnson) adult lines to child is still wholly unconvincing and makes it really difficult for one to suspend their disbelief. The script writers seem to think that most adults will find a pedantic, smart aleck child to be cute. At this rate, we might as well extend the vote to ten-year-olds. The show’s visual effects are fairly good. Unfortunately, they are often used as a crutch to fill out the runtime. Star Wars has become a tired franchise of late. The special effects are exceptional, but the stories (barring perhaps Mando) are sorely lacking in originality and, for this reviewer, engagement. In sum, little shine and no substance best encapsulates Disney’s Obi-Wan Kenobi. There is a small chance that the show may yet improve, but it’s not looking good. As for the “fan-boys” giving this contrived, poorly executed mess a 10/10, I think it apropos to remind them of Obi-Wan’s famous words: “Who is more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows?”… Expand

Really a let down of a series. The writing/pacing of the series are not good. Inconsistency in force powers continue. It's just a shame that Ewan's Obi-Wan is getting this treatment.

The acting is horribad. Leia and obi wan have no idea who each other were in ANH, yet they meet 7 years prior and form a life changing bond.

What really bugs me is They dropped the ball with the "Anakin is alive" reveal.

Obi Wann should've communed with qui gonn. Qui gonn should've been the one to tell him as a force ghost.

Qui gonn had the connection to both anakin and obi wann. Qui gonn yelled out to anakin when he turned. Yoda heard it as well.

Third sister had no place to tell that reveal. It was a wasted opportunity… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It doesn't feel like star wars to me. I'm no expert but he cinematography doesn't feel right for a star wars production. The Leia chase sequence, awful. At the beginning when they're looking for the Jedi and he starts running, one of the inquisitors just stands in front of him instead of trying to catch him. Reva is super anoying. The first encounter between obi wan and Darth Vader after mustafar felt lazy. Vader used the force to extinguish the fire but a few minutes later he couldn't do the same to catch obi wan??? Couldn't he force grab obi wan or the droid that was carrying him?

The only 2 scenes I loved were the order 66 sequence, which made me drop some tears of excitement and the 501st veteran scene, I hope there's more of the clones in the next episdoes. One last thing. Why did they give the whole series to one director? Why not do it like the mandalorian and the book of boba Fett? I was really looking forward to this series, I hope it gets better. I was going to give this series a 1, but seeing how it’s being review bombed with the 10s, it just doesn’t deserve anything. Will Disney ever learn that we don’t want their agenda being pushed on us in Star Wars? Will Disney ever learn that we don’t want their agenda being pushed on us in Star Wars? You were the chosen ones, supposed to continue George Lucas’ legacy. Instead you’re destroying it from inside out. It’s The Last Jedi all over again. Kenobi is weak because Disney cannot allow a strong male character. Instead, we get a little girl and an annoying female inquisitor as the main characters of the show. Even if you look past the fact that this series breaks canon, it’s just so poorly constructed, full of convenience, and cringy moments you cannot explain. Then there’s what’s happening outside of the series, which is just a typical corporate retaliation against the fans, who dare to not like the show. Make a good show. Or even better, leave Star Wars alone. If you want a good Obi-Wan story covering some of the period in between episodes 3 and 4, read Kenobi by John Jackson Miller.… Expand

I do not like cheap stories. I do not like poorly written characters. I do not like actors acting below theirs abilities. I love when storywriters are putting efforts to deliver quality content. This is not the case. I do not recommend!

This show has terrible writing and no respect for the characters. Not to mention a ton of issues:
-They bring down obi wan, so they can prop up other characters (Reva and Leia).

-The episode 3 "fight" between obi wan and Vader is a joke. He runs away like a coward and has no skill whatsoever, even though he was shown in past episodes as competent enough to take down stormtroopers and gang members. (And this is the obi wan who was planning on training Luke in the future?. How does he plan on training Luke if hes so bad with the force?)

-Reva is such a badly written character. The show tries so hard to make Riva the antagonist at the expense of...wait for it...Vader. Again, they have to bring classic characters down in order to prop up another character that no one would even care about. The show treats Vader so poorly.
In the ep 3 "fight" with obi wan, how does a wall of fire stop Vader!? And as the droid carries Obi wan away, why doesn't Vader just use the force to pull obi wan back into the fire?

-The episode 4 interrogation scene with Leia is laughable and cringe.
-Don't get me started on the "Leila hiding under the coat" farce. I half expected Benny Hill music to play. How the hell could anyone not notice!? Such a ridiculous scene.

This show breaks canon, doesn't fundamentally understand and respect its characters, has so many plot holes and is just so frustrating to watch. It was marketed as a return of 2 classic characters, but then fools the audience by sideline/bringing down those characters to prop up others. Such a slap in the face to fans. Its such as shame as well that any genuine criticism is labelled as "toxic" by Disney instead of taking responsibility for the horrible writing and direction of the series.… Expand

This is the worst Star Wars series to date. It's even worse than Book of Boba Fett. It has terrible acting, writing, characters and directing.
