Three incredible games that, gameplay-wise, have barely aged, packed in disappointing collection with virtually no new features. It’s a shame that Nintendo didn’t try harder to update these games, but that aside, these three Marios remain incredible.

As we have already said, Henry Hatsworth is one of the best and biggest surprise the Nintendo DS has given us in this year. Its excellent and varied gameplay is its best argument to understand its success between the critic and the public, apart from its fun story and its unlimited addictivity, thanks to combining two concepts: puzzles and platforms.

The genre is as healthy as ever, and this Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown is great news for fans of 3D fighting. Although it is a digital only title, it resist the comparison with its rivals, although the game itself is not that new and it lacks single player modes.

Crusader Kings II is probably the best game Paradox has ever made. The nordic studio is getting more and more experienced in the strategy genre after years making excellent titles, and the depth of Crusader Kings II is simply overwhelming. Thanks to its good AI, the game gets challenging and realistic. Its only flaws are the limitations in the military part.

Endling combines survival and narrative in a challenging adventure that feels great to play. It’s also beautiful and its story is fantastic.

It was a great game ten years ago, and it still is today, thanks to a great work of updating its gameplay and upgrading its visuals to offer a refreshed look. It also integrates online multiplayer which we expect to be expanded through DLC.

It's a great hack & slash that works pretty well as a Metal Gear spin-off. The last part of the title seems rushed, and there are certain glitches that may darken the experience, but it'll bring many unforgettable moments that can be only created by Kojima and Platinum Games.
