    The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog is a must-play experience. Sega has hit it out of the park with a Sonic-themed mystery adventure visual novel boasting captivating storytelling, fantastic character interaction, as well as a stellar presentation and soundtrack of similar quality. I had a big ol’ smile on my face from beginning to end, and can’t recommend this game enough. The fact that it’s free is almost criminal. Sega making another entry like this is wholly up in the air, but I’ll be hoping with all my heart that they do.

    Kudos to SEGA! The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog really shows what the developers are capable of. This inspired and creative game has already captured the hearts of many fans, and it captured mine alike. With its vibrant and immersive gameplay, this adventure is perfect to fill an afternoon with. Here's to hoping that SEGA sees the positive reception and makes more Sonic content like this. I already can't wait.

    The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog is a very entertaining, casual-paced visual novel based on a beloved video game franchise. I enjoyed my time playing it, and I’m impressed by the level of detail and care put into a free title. The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog is one April Fools’ Day joke that’s so much better than one initially expects it to be, and a part of me hopes there might be more games of this ilk in Sonic the Hedgehog’s future.

    The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog has many merits, above all the ability to once again decline the character of Sonic in another genre. By giving the right depth to each member of the cast, SEGA continues its worthy commitment to provide more layering to its universe. However, while the solution to the mystery is quite simple, the interlude minigame ends up - in the final stages - also being quite frustrating. In short, net of the short duration, the work appears a bit unbalanced in its playful components. In any case, it's about dedicating 2 hours to an excellent SEGA experiment, totally free, to spend an evening of fun with Sonic. It will be worth it.

    Chock full of mystery and fanservice, The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog takes the blue blur in a refreshing new direction. This trip on The Mirage Express might be a radical detour for the blue blur, but one should grab their ticket for this wild ride.

    The Murder of Sonic is a quirky addition to Sonic’s library, if not anything particularly ground-breaking. It might not make up for Sega trying to sell us the main menu and cutscenes for Sonic Origins separately, but it’s a nice gesture.

    Dejando a un lado las bromas, realmente es un buen juego, una buena novela visual y disfrutable, donde hace mucha énfasis en la caracterización de los personajes bien hecha y que es un lavado de cara para los personajes desperdiciados como Shadow o Espio y es una historia divertida para pasartela durante una tarde, ademas de contar con un arte muy bonito y disfrutable a la vista y un soundtrack, pese a ser simple, bastante bueno.
    Tienes que darle una probada si eres fan de las novelas visuales, ademas de que esta gratis en Steam, ojala pronto llegue a consolas para que mas gente pueda probarla, recomendado!!    … Expand

When I watched the trailer I seriously thought it wasn't real since, well- April Fools, right? I'm so glad that I was wrong, because this game was just incredible. I really enjoyed all the characters together, interacting with each other like any other normal day, it fills my heart with joy, since one of my favorite parts of the sonic franchise is the characters. Also, their clothing and personalities according to their 'lore', god it was amazing. I absolutely fell in love with the art style, props to the team:). This new style of game is really nice as well, I never thought I'd be playing Sonic in a visual novel style, but here we are! How we had the ability to choose between options only made the game even more interesting! The story was nice, it kept me interested until the end and had some moments that got me excited, it was really creative! I had a good laugh with this game, indeed. The music was enjoyable and creative, the way that it really sets an ambient and still matches with the game and its theme got me satisfied. The mini-game was fun too, it got challenging at one point, which only made it even more enjoyable. I wish Sonic had more games like this, it was one of my favorites so far and I absolutely loved what they were trying to accomplish with it. Thank you a lot:)… Expand

    Really good game! Found the story really fun and entertaining. But I do have a couple nitpicks about the game. First of all, it runs like aReally good game! Found the story really fun and entertaining. But I do have a couple nitpicks about the game. First of all, it runs like a potato on mac. Second, I would sometimes get softlocked on the think minigames, which i had to reset my progress twice because i hadnt saved yet. And lastly, it doesn't autosave. If Sega fixed these then this would easily be a 10… Expand

They're not joking and they are declaring what they want to do before hand. It's especially sick and disturbing to me because true Sonic is based off of actual people on the Japan side of the company. Some of these characters...aren't just characters. It's one of the hidden truths, so I don't hold it against people who don't know that. Also...some Japanese officials didn't have much of a hand in the game than said. Looks like I have to add here: No one has to believe me. I don't expect anyone to. I would appreciate if people would stop harassing me and being rude to me over a conversation I was having with someone else.… Expand
