Originality is always present in Journey of Johann: Cave Explorer, whether it’s for good or bad, but that is where the issues arise; a distinct, speedrunning-based foundation of gameplay is often juxtaposed through poorly designed stages, feeling as though they were thrown together.

Mind Over Magnet sure is an attractive game. On one hand you have some fantastic, innovative gameplay involving the laws of physics in the form of puzzles, yet this is repelled, rather than attracted, by the consistent complacency in not introducing new gripping mechanics, until a point where it’s too late.

Rise of Industry 2 is a complex, ambitious, and occasionally frustrating industrial simulator. It captures the entrepreneurial spirit of the 1980s and gives players an impressive amount of freedom to craft their own success story.
