KARMA: The Dark World is the kind of game that will stick with you long after you complete it. Far from perfect, with a disappointing third act and some major performance issues, thankfully the pros outweigh the cons.

One of the most risky, surreal and unclassifiable adventures we've seen. Ideal for those who love the movies by Lynch or Aronofsky. Its technical issues burden the experience, but you still should play this twisted and dark vision of the world.

There’s something magnetic about Karma: The Dark World's unhinged ambition. It's a debut that dares to be weird and weighty, even if it trips over its own complexity. Karma is a flawed and very interesting gem, a game that’s as haunting as it is stupefying. Xbox Series X|S owners, beware of the atrocious stuttering. Anyone who is drawn to narrative-driven horror with a cerebral bent, it’s a journey worth taking, but don’t expect every step to feel steady.

A surprisingly touching cyberpunk thriller that will stick with you long after the credits roll.

A hotchpotch of ideas and themes, Karma: The Dark World is a horror experience that doesn't quite manage to come together in a satisfying, coherent fashion. As such, it emerges as a frustrating, confounding thing, albeit one that displays brief flashes of potential. There's the kernel of something great here, but the execution ultimately falls short. On Xbox Series X|S, it's also hamstrung by frame rate issues.

Karma: The Dark World is nothing like a traditional horror game. It provides a strange, almost visceral sensation, like an introspective dive into the darkest and most tortured corners of the human soul. Disturbing, troubling and deeply Lynchian in its staging, Karma blurs the lines and sows the seeds of doubt. Sometimes confusing, but always intriguing, it dares to make a bold statement that breaks free from the conventions of the genre. However, we regret that screen tearing and FPS instability detract from the immersion because it hinders the title's overall quality. But for a first instalment, Pollard Studio LLC shows remarkable ambition, driven by a desire to shake up the conventions. If you are fond of multilayered narratives, tortured universes and experiences that require interpretation rather than rational understanding, Karma: The Dark World may well surprise you. All in all, it is a radical proposition... take it or leave it.
