One Piece: World Seeker is a shallow open world action game saved only by its nice art direction and technical achievements.

Batman: Return to Arkham is a wasted opportunity. The two games are enjoyable even today, but the port by Virtuos Games is technically outrageous.

Testament: The Order of High Human is definitely an ambitious game. However, being ambitious didn’t serve it well – it’s obvious that the scope of this game was beyond what a small studio like Fairyship Games was capable of, and the result is a mediocre action RPG that fails to impress.

Nine Parchments could be a fun game if you can wander in its levels with a couple of friends (in no more than a couple of evenings). After that, the experience gets boring and repetitive, and you'll probably search for something else to play.

Daymare: 1998 is Invader Studios' labor of love. It's not perfect by any means, but it can be a nice experience for every true fan of the genre that can stand its little missteps.

Fans of the World of Darkness will certainly find at least the atmosphere, good characters, and an enjoyable plot, thanks in part to the fact that big-budget vampire-themed games don't come flooding in. Fans of the first game for its RPG aspect and replayability will find almost nothing here except pale homages. It's up to you to decide where you stand between these two extremes. As a side note, I feel it's important to note that compared to The Chinese Room's typical output, this game still represents significant ambitions and a first for the English studio. Perhaps the experience gained will one day bear sweeter fruit, without leaving a legacy too burdensome to manage.

Had it been released in the middle of the last generation, perhaps Unknown 9: Awakening would have had a different effect. Today it is really hard to be impressed by a video game like this, technically and conceptually too old in which the only thing that is promoted is the story.

Fairy Tail is too simple a role-playing game to capture the interest of genre fanatics, but it could be an introduction to the genre for the younger generation, even though it suffers from generally poor technical performance.

Blind Fate: Edo no Yami in my opinion lives on lights and shadows: on the one hand it boasts fabulous ideas, honestly well recreated and described, especially in the advanced stages where the narrative also acquires a good level of maturity in the themes exposed, but to make the whole thing decay we think the stages of combat. Too bad, because Troglobytes Games has all the right cards to shine.

Shredders is a peculiar work full of contradictions. If its narrative, crazy, hilarious and embellished by the participation of some snow stars is as fresh as snow, his good gameplay (inspired by Steep) must clash with a disastrous technical performance. Still a game worth trying, especially on Game Pass.

Once the initial enthusiasm for the dual wielding weapon and the three warriors has waned, run after run the flaws of Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade become more and more evident and allow excessive repetitiveness to take over.

Die by the Blade works in its video game mission that pays homage to Bushido Blade. for the rest, it is a huge wasted opportunity given that the title lacks all the contents.

After The Witch Queen, Lightfall is a step back for Destiny 2, both story-wise and in terms of its gameplay mechanics.

Regardless of the strengths and weaknesses listed in the review, Styx: Blades of Greed is a classic video game that reveals its true colors and uses all its gameplay in the very first hours, only to then become bogged down in chronic repetitive gameplay, remaining unchanged until the end credits. The inspired level design and clever use of the lighting system are some of the game's redeeming features, but it's truly difficult to overlook the enemy AI's structural flaws and generally low difficulty.

Deadly Premonition 2 is not Swery's gaming maturity, but it is perhaps his consecration as a screenwriter, storyteller of the bizarre, creator of unforgettable characters. His ambition, however, clashes with the limited budget and, probably, with Toybox's modest ability to create gameplay. But these are works that must be left to rest, metabolized and then perhaps rediscovered, like a nice b-movie, ready to become one of our favorites when the time is right.

Plagued with technical issues partially resolved patch after patch, Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate Daemonhunters has also problems in terms of balancing and AI. The boss fights are well done, but it’s also a little monotonous as you find yourself playing the same dull couple of missions from the start to the very end of the game.

Kaku: Ancient Seal is sub-par in every aspect of the action-adventure genre. Stay clear.

If you're looking for a simple and pretty easy jPRG, with an original concept and a good combat system, Blue Reflection could be a good fit. Otherwise, you'll find a game that's not so challenging, without grinding and no leveling.

I honestly don’t know if Wonder Boy IV was a real blast in 1994 since I could not play it then. What I know is that Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World is not a blast today. It’s kinda average in everything it does, but what I really can’t bear is how the new art style feels like a significant downgrade over the magical 16-bit pixel art.

Last year, Hitman GO was a pleasant surprise for our smartphones, an excellent strategic/boardgame starring Agent 47. Unfortunately, this is just a straight porting from the mobile version, with uncomfortable controls, almost no options, and nothing really new. Too bad.

Concord is not a bad hero shooter, but neither a good one. It has really nothing special to offer in relation to other game of the same genre that are free to play, and it lacks of a distinctive characteristic. The lore is not original, the characters are not memorable, the shooting is not very good and the gameplay modes are few and old.
