Don't be fooled by its raw presentation, and don't let yourself be discouraged by a poorly made dubbing: Expeditions Rome is a video game that treats us with a first-rate role-playing experience. In a nutshell, if you love tactical RPGs you can't miss Logic Artists’ latest creation.- The Games Machine

The remake of Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is a success of style, fidelity and gameplay. Adding a few elements to the original, the game confirms itself as a milestone for a genre lost in time that finds a way to live anew.- The Games Machine

Otxo is violent and frenetic, but it is not a game where you simply have to pull the trigger, as bullet time management is crucial. The roguelike component is not very developed and the game could be better with a progression system, anyway it’s an absolutely recommended buy.- The Games Machine

Doom Eternal – The Ancient Gods Part 1succeeds in its goal: to give the fans more action, gore and fun. If we put aside the small step backwards made with the soundtrack, this DLC will undoubtedly appeal to all those gamers who are still not satisfied with Doom’s adrenalinic gameplay loop.- The Games Machine

Both versions of In Death - VR PC systems or Oculus Quest - keep the main strengths of the game, in the form of an "otherworldly" archery roguelite which is not afraid to raise the bar of difficulty in virtual reality. As in other cases, the developers of Sólfar Studios have swapped the best visual performance of the PC edition (for Rift, Rift S, Vive and Index) with the freedom offered by the all-in-one nature of Quest, in a game where the charisma of the setting still comes before the graphic details. The exploration progresses slowly and this lacks a bit of variety, but overall fun is guaranteed.- The Games Machine

We're looking at a solid and engaging sequel that expands on the Hades universe without any major revolutions. A conservative second installment, therefore, that builds on the successful formula of its predecessor without overhauling it. Supergiant changes the protagonist, introduces new biomes, deities, and supporting mechanics, but remains faithful to the action roguelite gameplay that was already highly appreciated in 2020. Despite its lack of flaws, however, Hades II fails to shake off the feeling of being "just" a major expansion, rather than a truly new video game.- The Games Machine

Okami HD is the long overdue remaster of a true masterpiece: it has aged a bit, but it's fascinating and charming like the first day, ten years ago. The wonderful artistic vision is truly enhanced by the support to the new resolutions, keeping the experience intact. Okami is one of the most original action adventures ever created, a videogame everyone should play and enjoy.- The Games Machine

After repeating the same exact gameplay year after year, MLB The Show 23 finally offers some interest-ing new features in an fresh enjoyable experience, both in old and in new game modes. There’s a great atmosphere on the diamond, and there are tons of things to do, games to play, stars to unlock. Some shadows on the online, with a netcode that it's shaky at times.- The Games Machine

Slayers X is an FPS old school that engages and entertains from start to finish. His story, as simple as it is effective, offers a very detailed context. Furthermore, the gunplay, the approach and the various methods for dealing with enemies are the real spearhead of the work. Must have absolutely.- The Games Machine

Repetitive but never monotonous thanks to the range of heroes, Dragon's Crown PRO is an arcade of the old guard made with a great audiovisual style. Nothing new for its old players, but continues to be a gem in the ARPG scene.- The Games Machine

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales brings another Sony icon to our PCs thanks to an action-adventure that is technically solid and adaptable to any hardware configuration, perhaps perfect in managing the framerate but as exciting as only playing Spider-Man can be.- The Games Machine

Mortal Kombat 11 is probably the best chapter in the entire saga. Visuals, soundtrack and gameplay have reached an astonishing level of depth. Unfortunately, being forced to be always online and a progression system that seems a bit too random prevent this fighting game to become the masterpiece it deserves to be.- The Games Machine

Forcing us to live one second at a time, MULLET MAD JACK pays homage to the golden years of anime with contagious passion, the same that gushes from the small details that are difficult to see given the crazy speed of the gameplay. In a crowded landscape like that of old school FPS it's not easy to stand out, yet Jack manages to do so easily thanks to an out of the ordinary personality and mullet.- The Games Machine

This collection only makes sense if you didn't play the original Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls on PlayStation 3. Beside some technical improvements (and few adjustments to the gameplay for the latter), the games are basically the same, and that means two great experiences that should not be missed.- The Games Machine

Excellent and always on point, Kan Gao succeeds in the complex attempt to propose an adventure as usual special and touching, touching the right chords through a simple but effective plot. The goal of the production is to revive part of the experience of To the Moon, a goal that is achieved in an absolutely noble way. The gameplay, not particularly changed compared to the past, focuses on classic and already known dictates. Also on this front, but because the operations of the Canadian developer do not change, not much could be expected. He prefers to focus on emotions, showing them off. An excellent act of beauty.- The Games Machine

If you're a fan of the broad "bullet heaven" genre, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is undoubtedly one of the best games in this category, thanks to its breadth of offerings and overall well-thought-out gameplay. It's a shame there are a few minor stumbles overall, but nothing that seriously compromises the quality of the final offering. And it's all at a truly competitive price.- The Games Machine

Astral Chain is a detective story of the near future, a game with a crazy rhythm and direction. However it is around the gravitational field of its combat system that sensational qualities and unexpected flaws rotate. We’re still talking about a memorable, amusing, tachycardic experience, doped by a techno-aesthetic power that flexes Switch's muscles like only Nintendo managed to do. Despite certain flaws endemic to their work (unmanageable camera on all), PlatinumGames confirms itself as the king of stylish action games.- The Games Machine

Our time with the complete edition of Nioh 2 proved to be really positive, an element that leads us once again to praise the care with which Team Ninja tries to involve PC users, offering them an extremely dignified port of their game. The presence of all three additional contents published for the title guarantees not only an almost inexhaustible fun, given the new stories and modes, but also a good and interesting closure for a story that will leave a mark on the soulslike scene. A word of warning: make sure your PC is within the hardware requirements.- The Games Machine

Ni no Kuni 2 improves over its predecessor in almost every way: it's more polished, the gameplay is more refined and has a good pace, and the story would look good in a Studio Ghibli production. Ni no Kuni 2 is an absolute joy to watch and to play, it's deep yet not complicated, and a true and genuine JRPG.- The Games Machine

Ride 4 on PlayStation 5 is the best version of an already gorgeous motorcycle sim. The DualSense’s haptic feedback brilliantly amplifies every sensation, and the game runs at a smooth 60 frames per second and beautiful 4K resolution. Milestone has employed effectively the next-gen capabilities offered by Sony’s flagship console, offering console owners the first, spectacular example of what the future has in store for asphalt racing.- The Games Machine

To enjoy The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV you must at least have finished the previous chapter: it's simply imperative. Recommendations aside, this is an excellent role-playing game, technically not up to date but demonstrating Nihon Falcon's mastery of the genre.- The Games Machine

RoadCraft sets out to do one very specific thing and it does it very well: it’s amazing how quickly the hours fly by when you’re busy paving roads, moving heavy loads, finding creative uses for mobile cranes, and cursing the mud. Sure, it could use some tweaking to some of the minor things, like the interface or audio issues. But otherwise, it’s hard not to be satisfied. Bringing a few friends along isn’t a bad idea, though: some tasks can seem downright daunting for a single operator of heavy machinery.- The Games Machine
