Dragon Quest Builders finds its way on Nintendo Switch, where the unique specificity of the console offers breeding ground for the endless possibilities of the game. Nonetheless, it's the same game as it was two years ago, with some fringe additions. An excellent opportunity, if you missed it when it was originally released.- The Games Machine

Star Ocean The Second Story R is a superb remake that improves the original game all round, making the most beloved chapter of the famous tri-Ace series current again. Some improvements tend to further undermine the mechanisms of a game that was not particularly balanced at the start, but overall it is an old-fashioned JRPG experience that will not fail to excite fans of the genre.- The Games Machine

Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night are both indisputably masterpieces, but the versions included in this collection are direct ports of the original games. On the side of graphic and technical presentation we expected something more.- The Games Machine

NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM is perhaps one of the most complete titles dedicated to the world of Naruto. The simplifications in combat system may not be appreciated by everyone, but the title remains a must have for all Naruto fans.- The Games Machine

Black Myth: Wukong is a video game with a brilliant and well-composed combat system, full of facets and things to see. It could very well be a new yardstick for the action genre, even if the inexperience of the team in some respects, also due to the amount of bosses within it, leads to being less enthusiastic than usual. Game Science's video game is usual, really solid, much more than I would have expected. The future of the team, hoping it is far from controversy and aggressive behavior, is well marked.- The Games Machine

Even if it feels like a 90’s racing arcade, with marvelous landscapes and frenetic races, Horizon Chase Turbo doesn’t give up showing a strong personality and a fresh low poly style.- The Games Machine

A brilliant and captivating video game with an excellent and detailed story. An original and brutal game model that shows great care in every area, from the hustle and bustle of battles to other noteworthy details such as the relationship between Crimson and the secondary characters of the experience. A video game not to be missed.- The Games Machine

Darktide would have deserved a better score, because the game itself is good, real good. But poor optimization (not entirely justified by the game’s looks), far too common game crashes, and a loot economy that cannot help but raise some eyebrows end up impacting the user experience. It’s still a great 40k game, but you might want to wait for some patches if you’re on the fence.- The Games Machine

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a good second chapter but those who expected a sequel better than the predecessor may be slightly disappointed. Unfortunately, in the face of many well-structured innovations related to the fighting styles and puzzles scattered in the game worlds, there are also some far from negligible smudges such as a plot all too devoted to fanservice and an excessive amount of secondary content. However, the one packaged by Respawn and Electronic Arts is a more than satisfactory action video game, with solid gameplay and a first-rate artistic / graphic sector.- The Games Machine

Star Fox Zero is an excellent shoot'em up, but at the same time an intimate tribute to an era where high scores and fun for fun's sake were king. The game offers solid gameplay, good variety and a frantic pace. A title that deserves a place in every Wii U owner's house.- The Games Machine

With the launch of Yakuza 6: Song of Life, the saga of Kazuma Kiryu reaches its conclusion on PC and Xbox as well. The two years that passed since its launch on Sony consoles has provided it with technical improvements that, especially on PC, made the game’s visuals more in line with the times. Compared to Yakuza 0, the combat is a bit on the stiffer side, but still satisfying, and Yakuza 6 is a worthy final chapter in a fifteen-year long narrative arc.- The Games Machine

EA SPORTS FC 24 is not a revolution in the football world, but an evolution of what we have seen in past FIFA seasons. A mammoth amount of content and a game structure that convinces, albeit with some flaws, are a good calling card for this "debut-non-debut", which promises to keep virtual footballers busy for a long time, be they potential coaches, hunters of stickers or street game enthusiasts.- The Games Machine

The Castlevania Advance Collection is a fine piece of game preservation, collecting three good games and a half-assed dud thrown in for good measure. Joking aside, the games haven't aged as well as the NDS trilogy, but put together they make a must-have package for fans of the Belmont family.- The Games Machine

It’s a shame that Homeworld 3’s plot seems to completely miss the point of the story in the older games, focusing too much on Imogen’s hyperspace superpowers rather than on the Kushan’s struggle as a people, because gameplay and presentation are otherwise top notch and prove once again Blackbird Interactive’s competence and skill as a versatile RTS developer.- The Games Machine

In certain respects, Burnout Paradise aged pretty well: under the revamped visuals and the smooth frame rate, this remastered version keeps the original gameplay unaltered, and that means sheer, chaotic fun and adrenaline-pumping races across Paradise City. Sure, some gameplay elements feel a little older today (where's the fast travel?), but honestly, who cares when you're having so much fun?- The Games Machine

Rematch is a serious candidate to be the Rocket League of this decade. Beyond the obvious similarities (more obvious once you pick up the controller) it is finally a different take on football than EA FC, closer to the real experience that a footballer can live but without forgetting the ludo thanks to the blatantly arcade approach of some gameplay ideas. Many things are missing, I think (I hope) that they will arrive, for now Fútbol is still bailado (and very danceable).- The Games Machine

The Necrom expansion of The Elder Scrolls Online stands out for its captivating atmosphere and richly detailed setting. The presence of Hermaeus Mora and the introduction of the Arcanist class add a surprising depth to the gameplay. Despite some potential improvements, the expansion offers a compelling new experience and reaffirms that ESO is destined to remain a force in the world of MMOs.- The Games Machine

Although far from being revolutionary, Kena Bridge of Sprits is a compelling action-adventure game with an heart-warming hero and really cute creatures to play with. Ember Lab put in this game all their experience in character design and animation, giving us a splendid – but also somewhat repetitive – cartoon movie to play with.- The Games Machine

Ender Magnolia follows in the footsteps of Ender Lilies by delivering a longer-than-average metroidvania with a fun combat system and a very pleasing art style, especially when it comes to backgrounds. However, while its story beats are by no means bad, they lack the spark that was present in Ender Lilies.- The Games Machine

CYGNI: All Guns Blazing aims to be a vertical-scrolling shoot'em up tied to the old traditions of the genre, taking advantage of what hardware has made possible over the last four decades. It has hit the mark, including everything that is to be expected in works of this type, without wanting to add anything else. The result is the closest thing to a coin-op we could find in a parallel universe in which arcades have not known oblivion. Fast-paced, colorful, pyrotechnic, punishing, and capable of making everyone realize that shmups can still provide a lot of fun.- The Games Machine

An adorable cast that is impossible not to love, lots of extras (including DLC) and a greatly improved quality of life are further points in favor of this second Trilogy, dedicated above all to those who are discovering the series in recent years, but also recommended for those who want to relive these events after a long time. No objection, your honor!- The Games Machine

Stories Untold is an experimental text adventure with a great 80's vibe, a sort of "Stranger Things meets Zork". You'll find soon engaged in a captivating, horrifying and amazingly old-school adventure full of lo-fi technology, dark secrets and terrible text parsers. Despite its stand-alone nature, Death of the Outsider is a sort of DLC with a simplified gameplay that can be fully understood if you have played both the first and the second episode of the series only.
