Kill the Bad Guy focuses a bit too much on trial and error to be a truly compelling puzzle game. Nevertheless, the kills are inventive enough to warrant a purchase somewhere down the line.

Phoenotopia: Awakening has the ingredients for an excellent experience, but poorly balanced combat mechanics and incredibly steep difficulty get in the way of a good time. With no adjustable difficulty settings in the game, be prepared for a slog.

With some decent pinball gameplay at its core and the addition of a rotated view in Tabletop mode allowing that classic feel of a vertical arcade game, GUNBARICH could have been an interesting title for the Switch. Unfortunately, it is far too hard to complete on its original settings, leaving most players to ultimately get rid of the ‘lives’ and ‘continues’ system, instead dying over and over again until they reach the end. Adding an overly congested screen into the mix on top of this results in a game that is hard to recommend.

FoxyLand is a by-the-numbers platformer which won’t come close to setting the world alight. It’s alright for what it is, with its thirty-six levels lasting a few hours, but you won’t remember much of it in a month’s time.

The Switch is perfectly suited to strategy games, but ACORN Tactics isn't one that should automatically go in your collection. It's a shame, because despite being quite charming, it isn't any fun.

Code of Princess EX takes many influences from the classic brawlers, but, like a lot of them, it delivers a repetitive and boring gameplay loop. It tries to compensate that with tons of content, but it is hard to be encouraged to try it all when the basics are so weak.

Little Friends: Dogs & Cats allows the player to live a simulated experience of raising a pet. It is a shallow one, clearly aimed at kids, but it can work as an idle game if you’re after this kind of experience.

My Universe – PET CLINIC CATS & DOGS is not the game I had hoped it would be. Instead, it’s a generic and repetitive simulation game with gameplay that doesn’t fit the price tag.

Legend of Kay Anniversary is a game that doesn't really need to exist, while it's a interesting and unique platform game, it often feels so incredibly dated that it loses any of its charm or fun.

Mini Island Challenge Bundle features intense boss-rush gameplay. With four different island-levels to choose from, as well as four difficulty levels – from Normal to Hardcore – fans of the genre will get some enjoyment out of the game. The price is definitely right, and the soundtrack alone is worth it.

Beholder has a clever, unique concept, and explores some interesting ideas in its story, but in the Switch port of the game the controls and menus, alongside the abnormal ‘recommended’ difficulty make it more of a chore to play than previous versions.

Despite creating a unique horror ambience thanks to an outstanding hand-drawn presentation, Yomawari: The Long Night Collection creates a ‘hide-and-seek’ gameplay loop in which the tension goes away due to the cheap jump scares and unfair repetition.

At a first glance, Battle Worlds: Kronos looks like a kind of spiritual successor to strategical titles such as Command & Conquer. It differs from the formula with its hex-layered grid and turn-based structure, but delivers a clunky and slow experience that doesn’t fit well with Switch’s portable capabilities.

Geki Yaba Runner is a 2D platformer that stands out with its gameplay mechanics, often keeping you guessing, but lacks substantial content. Its humorous art and story may keep you entertained, but ultimately the player isn’t offered much else to enjoy.

There is a small amount of enjoyment to be found in SEN: Seven Eight Nine’s more challenging levels. However, the title fails to offer anything particularly novel or groundbreaking, and could also benefit from some quality-of-life improvements.

Despite being inherently flawed on a technical level, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition excels in opening a window to three amazing crime-driven open world classics on Nintendo Switch. Just don’t go in expecting complete greatness.

Football, Tactics & Glory might satisfy the tactical aficionados, but the absence of thrills and excitement in the on-field action render this a niche title. At this price, it can’t be recommended, but collectors should track down the physical copies, though.

Spirit Roots‘ charming aesthetics are not enough to warrant suffering through its many monotonous levels. Although some may find enjoyment in the challenges it poses and its platforming, it is more frustrating than fun, especially where its boss battles are concerned.

Bitlogic‘s labyrinthian stages have a sleek cyberpunk finish with some catchy chiptune tracks, but the presentational facelift doesn’t do much to alter the basic MSX gameplay, which can get monotonous fast. It’s not bad as an MSX throwback, but there are much better games out there on the eShop.

Gal*Gun 2 was always going to be a game which only applied to a niche audience, and there's little to suggest that may be anything other than the case. Your average person would feel awkward playing this in front of friends or family members - so best to get it played alone. The Free Hugs Edition is impressive, though.

Ganbare! Super Strikers lacks the elements that can make a sports game great and it lacks the depth of a good tactical RPG. There is potential in this unlikely mash-up of genres, but the balance hasn’t been struck here.
