A fresh take on the shootem'up genre, that has its only downsides in its price tag and the little content offered for it. Still, a good choice for whoever loved the '90s shooters.

Slain: Back form Hell is the game that has should been since the beginning. It is a great tribute to the gothic and heavy metal culture, and a very challenging game.

While not absolutely one of the best exponents of the genre, Lunar: The Silver Star is reincarnated on iOS with a new title that allows us to discover a hidden little gem in the landscape of the 90's JRPGs.

A nice little real time strategy game, that walks in the same boots of its predecessor (which was considerably longer), except for adding more humour, more difficult final stages and brighter graphics. Pity, then, that's a little expensive for what it offers.

Despite some big flaws, every Silent Hill fan out there will find in Homecoming some of the old (black) magic. Gameplay feels old, and the same goes for visuals, but the atmosphere is still intact. If you love Silent Hill, this is still your game, but starting from next chapter we all need something new.

Yo-kai Watch 2 is an iterative sequel that plays too safe too often, but, taken for what it is, also delivers a solid JRPG experience, enriched by almost two hundred new Yo-kai, online battles and new areas to explore. Your enjoyment of the first game and of the anime really is a factor here.

Massive Chalice has kept all the promises made during its campaign on Kickstarter, becoming an interesting and rich in ideas RPG that would be worthwhile to replay in the future.

It's far too easy and its combat system seems to be too dumbed down, but we've had a great time with Monster Hunter Stories nonetheless. We can't stop farming eggs and monsters, and we're doing it well after the campaign was over.

Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song is a work that embraces its past and chooses not to hide it. It makes no effort to appear more modern than it is, and perhaps that is exactly what makes it so captivating. A complex journey, at times hostile, yet capable of offering a sense of freedom that few contemporary JRPGs can provide. And now that it finally speaks Italian as well, one can say that its world is, for the first time, truly open to everyone.

Killer is Dead is not a bad title, especially if you loved No More Heroes, but it also doesn't overtake its charisma. Despite its absurdity, the game is struggling to become as unforgettable as the other works from Suda.

Röki tells a compelling story about what remains of an unfortunate family using a typical dark fairy tale tone. It is a classic adventure game with a modern twist and an amazing art design.

If you want to relax and listen to your music Audiosurf 2 is a good pick. The introduction of Steam Workshop works well and adds variety and depth, whereas the UI has some issues, and the management of the music library is a bit tricky.

One of the most beloved characters of PC gaming is back: classic gameplay, hysterical shooting and strafing and crazy enemies grant a lot of fun, but after a while you'll feel the repetitiveness of the mix.

Layers of Fear is not a new game, nor a remake. it seems like a sort of definitive edition that includes the old games of the series and a new section that ties the two stories together. The passage to Unreal Engine 5 and the mild gameplay tweaks are not so relevant and add nothing to the game experience.

Nuka-World has amused and frustrated us at the same time. The new setting is among the most memorable of the entire series. However being forced to be evil with no other alternatives is something that a RPG should never do.

Dead by Daylight: Special Edition is the same game we've played on PC a year ago, albeit with a lot of new content. Its gameplay remains fresh and fun, however the lack in variety might jeopardize the lasting appeal of the game, which is also threatened by a weak matchmaking.

A wasted chance to get back to rapture and create a new, beautiful game experience. Overall the story is too poorly narrated apart for the awesome cliffhanger at the end and the variety of gameplay situations isn't that great. Rapture itself and the new mature Elizabeth are probably the best aspects of this first chapter of the DLC, but with less than 3 hours of actual gameplay the overall rating of the game isn't what we expected to see.

Azure Striker Gunvolt is a delicious appetizer while waiting for the main dish, represented by Mighty No. 9, but the taste would have been much better if the enemy design wasn't so weak and if more levels were included.
