A game that will probably be remembered more for its amazing art direction and music than its gameplay. It's not bad, mind you, but it has definitely some tactical flaws. In the end, the Banner Saga will be able to capture you with a branched and inspired narrative, and solid battles.

Under Night In-Birth II Sys: Celes is a compelling fighting game, despite feeling old and way-too classic in many of its choices. It's really hard to understand why Arc System Works chose the same release window as Tekken 8, considering that it didn't help the game at all in getting the attention it deserved.

Bravada is a good title, with a design that brings something new and intriguingly blends two genres: strategy and role-playing. The board-based system and the various combinations of objects and movements bring the strategic complexity to interesting levels.

Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army is purely co-op experience and with such approach it doesn't fail to entertain a lot. The action is fast-paced, cooperative tactics are pretty solid, the atmosphere in scary and the Kill Cam is always exciting.

A funny way to put your Kinect to use, even if it's too short for its price.

Don't Starve is still an excellent game on the new Sony console, which, however, is not used in its technical potential. For the same price, this PS4 version is as good as the old PC version, as long as you don't want to play the great mods available on PC. In that case (and in the case of Steam sales), it's better to buy the version for Windows, Mac and Linux.

Nestalgia is an anachronistic MMORPG, an interesting experiment designed by a great and inspired indie team. Great for older NES-style fans, uninteresting for the youngest players. If you were born before 1989, you'll love it.

A Jrpg with a great combat system that could be a true gem in the genre, but falls short in the story department and is weakened by the impressive amount of backtracking during the campaign.

Its quality is not on par with the excellent campaigns, due to balancing issues and the absence of any kind of online mode, but Shovel Knight Showdon is still a very fun party game for up to four players.

The first adventure of Master Chief is a must for anyone who hasn't ever played it yet, but it is too expensive and offers nothing really new. The gameplay feels too aged to have another go if you already played it in the past.

Eugen System again delivers a really good product: a gorgeous-looking simulative strategic game that embodies the cold war perfectly. The only downside is that it doesn't deliver enough new things for what you pay. Avoid it if you're a newcomer.

Heavy Bullets simplifies the control system to the bone, does not give the player a great offensive arsenal, and at the same time pushes the accelerator of a reasoned action and an above average challenge.

Gradius Origins is an impressive but incomplete collection. It captures the essence of a genre and a generation of gamers. It's a shame that the absence of the fourth and fifth installments keeps it from being a must-have for every SHMUP fan.

WRC 7 is better than its predecessor but is still far from its direct rival DiRT. It offers a good career mode, with all the official tracks of FIA Rally championship and many improvements. The physics of the vehicles and the graphics have to be improved.

It's clearly a rushed job, that is in many ways inferior to the PC version and it's locked on 30 frames per second. Still, it contains a great stealth-action game with all the DLC, and the technical problems are mostly negligible. If you never played the original this is still a pretty good deal.

Detective Pikachu moves far away from the main series, boasting a strong narrative and a charismatic protagonist that bears little to none resemblance to the Pikachu we're familiar with. In spite of its faults, this first experiment managed to entertain us, and we can't wait to get some new adventures with this coffee-lover detective.

Not nearly as magnificent as the movie, and not as brilliant as Shadow of Mordor was when it came out, but Mad Max is still a fun (if somewhat repetitive) adventure in a post apocalyptic world filled with sand, blood and gasoline. There's nothing really innovative in the mix, but in the end it's way better than most movie based tie ins. More than enough for fans of Mad Max and videogames all over the world.
