Red Dead Redemption 2 is Rockstar's greatest game to date. It's also their most mature game in every aspect: technical, narrative and playable. Its slow pace may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you're patient, the reward is the most lively and thrilling world we've ever had in a videogame, in which everything is seamlessly integrated.

Faerûn is a unique world. The story of Baldur's Gate 3 is outstanding. Coupled with gameplay that knows how to effectively mix the turn-based system with its exploration in real time. A ten music that manages to transport us to a fantasy environment that has a looming danger. The building of relationships, the enemies and the dangers that we will find in Faerûn, make this Larian adventure almost 100% complete. Elden Ring is a real milestone for its developers and one of the best titles we've played in the last few years. The way it mixes the gameplay from Dark Souls with a highly refined exploration offers a really fresh take on the saturated open world market. Supergiant Games has very little to prove with Hades in its console version, beyond its performance and optimization. It's not just that it has been nominated for game of the year. It's that this game already managed to massively captivate critics and audiences alike in 2020. If we can add anything, I would say that Hades evolves in every way every time you play it, both playable and narratively. From what we can highlight the combat, which is the core of the game, is highly satisfying. This is a game you should at least try.

The protagonists and the final bosses have an exquisite personality and designs and give more power to a story that has its plot twists and its slightly more emotional and profound moments. Although Hi-Fi RUSH doesn't have an epic story, it has everything necessary to captivate you from the beginning, and together with that feeling of fluidity when playing, it leaves a very good taste in the mouth after a few hours at the controls. Dragon Ball FighterZ is the best Dragon Ball game of all time. Visuals are gorgeous, practically perfect, faithful to anime and manga. Gameplay also stands out thanks to a deep combat and dozens of systems. Complex and, at the same time, very accessible fighting game.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is a very special RPG. The title has made an effort to try to create a world that wants to be explored, and is not a mere excuse to advance to the next city. The journey and not the destination is the most important thing in an adventure that presents a really deep and tremendously fun gameplay system. It is true that it is not perfect, especially at a technical level, but it is good enough to be considered one of the greats of the year.

DIRT 4 offers new possibilities to every player that wants to race, but maintains the same level of requirement for the sim racers. Good physics, outstanding gameplay and diversity of options, but this can't avoid the feeling that the game falls short on the number of cars and countries.

Turn10 Studios brings us what is undoubtedly the king of simulation. A light simulation, or "simcade" as many nickname it, but certainly an intermediate point that achieves the greatest of virtues, balancing in the balance the requirement of the simulators and the immediacy of the arcades, leaving to the consumer the configuration which you prefer as far as simulation is concerned.

BioWare was facing an impossible mission, but with Dragon Age: The Veilguard has brought to life a game which knows what it wants to be. Maybe the execution doesn't pair with the fans wishes, but this return to the fantasy franchise is entertaining and visually spectacular. The biggest flaw is an inconsistent pace because of its large length.

Lies of P is an incredible game that takes the successful FromSoftware formula, used in titles like Dark Souls and Sekiro, to offer an exciting adventure like no other that only the Neowiz team knows how to offer. Both technically and mechanically, Lies of P manages to surprise for the better, and all accompanied by attention to detail in sound, resulting in one of the best games of the year.

Treyarch no longer cares to hide what Black Ops 4 is: a 3 in 1. Good news is that each of those three games has the polished classic gameplay of the saga, and links it to different concepts. A multiplayer with a more tactical approach and new modes, a tremendously addictive arcade battle royale, and the deepest zombie mode to date.

Roadcraft is a game that casts the long shadow of Snowrunner behind it. However, it’s not an evolution or a sequel—it's a title determined to forge its own path. It introduces new opportunities through a resource management concept tailored for activities more reminiscent of Constructor Simulator in rural settings. In doing so, it offers an appealing proposition for a segment of players looking to experience a unique fusion of the best elements from both worlds.

DOOM: The Dark Ages reinvents the franchise with a brutal medieval prequel that retains its frenetic core while introducing fresh elements like the Saw Shield (featuring parry mechanics) and epic battles atop dragons or inside towering Titans. Though resolution on Xbox Series S is a weak point, the game shines with a sprawling campaign, secret-packed levels, a pulse-pounding OST, and exquisitely choreographed violence. A must-play for fans and a new benchmark for modern shooters, proving once again that DOOM is eternal.

The Outer Worlds is not perfect, it is limited and its formula outdated in some aspects, but it fulfills all that it promises. A new first-person role-playing adventure with an interesting narrative, charismatic characters, brilliant conversations and hundreds of playable possibilities where everyone can be whoever they want to be.

Final Fantasy X was the end of a golden age in the history of this franchise. It may be that the nostalgia intensifies the situation, but in this episode, it's hard not to get caught by one of the most complete stories of recent years, with charismatics, characters and a gameplay between between tradition and the avant-garde. With this remast in HD there is no excuse not to return to Spira from the hands of Tidus, Yuna and company to relive one of the best games of the Final Fantasy series.

Blasphemous 2 is a sequel that lives up to expectations. Offering us a wider range of weapons to choose from in combat, and a much lighter and faster gameplay than its predecessor, it manages to trap us in a broad story that is told bit by bit. Leaving aside the roguelike genre and focusing on the purest metroidvania, we have ahead dozens of hours of fun in its original dark world, and has an atmosphere and an artistic design that will remain forever in the history of 2D platform video games.
