Aug 11, 2021Offering multiple endings and paths based on your decisions and who lives and dies; Fuga: Melodies of Steel takes the best parts of the story telling from Mass Effect 2 with the simple vehicle combat from Advance Wars and smashes it together with a wonderful RPG system, melodic music and beautiful graphics to a roaring success. Its not often that you find such a dark and adult story wrapped up in such a whimsical and beautiful package, this one could be a contender for RPG of the year.

Aug 12, 2021Fuga: Melodies of Steel is the turn-based RPG that you didn’t know you needed, but most definitely do. Being able to chop and change your team of hearty children makes the action exciting, the harsh difficulty keeps things interesting as you plot a course towards bringing down the Berman Empire, while the ingenious Soul Cannon serves its purpose brilliantly as a last resort.

Aug 18, 2021Fuga is a game that has a lot to offer you if you like turn-based strategy video games. It's fun, deep in story and mechanics, and full of playable options. Although in the long run it can get repetitive and the chapters too long. All in all, I feel it is a highly enjoyable game. The difficulty spikes found in boss battles can be frustrating. So it can be a demanding game at least while you fully understand its mechanics.

Aug 28, 2021FUGA: Melodies of Steel cuts through the bleakness of its setting with heartwarming characters and childlike optimism, although its punishing turn-based tactical play may force you into gut-wrenching perma-death situations. FUGA is an underrated gem, and deserves the attention of JRPG fans everywhere.
