A source of escapist fun for those who enjoys exploring underwater worlds and an intimidating bug-riddled leviathan for everyone else.

As weird and ironic it sounds, given the score, this is the finest game in the Lost Planet trilogy, and the most successful title ever made by Spark Unlimited. Because compared to the abysmal Lost Planet 2, this mediocrity is a huge step forward.

Pure gameplay delight exists. And Superhot shows us that it is within our reach. All you have to do is turn a hot idea into a full-fledged game. Meanwhile, you can buy and enjoy an expensive sliver of hope.

Funny and pleasant at first, but ultimately a very tiring adventure. Play through the first third of the game and then just part with it amicably.

A charming, but not well-thought-out game. If you’re not ready to travel like a grain of sand on the wind, it’s best to avoid it for now.

If the combat system had more depth to it, Samurai Gunn would have been much more enjoyable.

Time and multiplayer statistics prove that Company of Heroes 2 is still the best WWII-themed RTS. Unfortunately, Sudden Strike 4 is too weak to dethrone it.

Empathy: Path of Whispers is as if someone copied Malevich's famous Black Square painting just ‘‘because I can’’, without any understanding or ideas behind the copy.

Conarium fails at horror even when the protagonist completely loses his grip on reality — you just don’t feel anything. You are supposed to care about the ill-fated explorers, but character development pretty much doesn't exist in this story.

Deadpool is like a crappy moonshine. It may lighten your mood for a while, but you can’t shake the gross aftertaste. And when the ending comes, you will be left with an equivalent of a bad hangover – just a couple of funny jokes plus a few severed heads.

With Arma 3, Bohemia made a big step towards a unified platform for its military shooters, but at the same time took two steps back in regards to actual game content. Only the most hardcore fans will enjoy Arma 3 in its current form.

The ever-increasing level requirements force players to grind. These side missions are all too similar in their look and design. Varied, exciting combat could have been the game’s saving grace, but, alas, it leaves a lot to be desired.

It is pointless to spend your time on Cities: Skylines 2 in its current state. Developers should decide what is really important — fixing the game or releasing DLCs.

When describing the 3rd episode of the season, In Harm’s Way, I compared Telltale to a maniac who lives to torture his victims. No Going Back only reinforces this impression.

If you felt constrained by the chaos system in Dishonored 1 & 2, you can finally enjoy killing pretty much anyone without repercussions. But even this newfound freedom won’t fix badly written characters, ham-fisted dialogue, weak narrative, and annoying gameplay conventions.

There’s a good concept at the core of Star Wars: Squadrons, as flying a space fighter and managing its systems can be a lot of fun, however, you have to be a very dedicated Star Wars fan to enjoy a drab campaign with just a handful of memorable moments and watered-down multiplayer modes from Battlefront 2.

Partisans 1941 is not a puzzle that makes you go over all the available tactical options in search of the most ingenious solution, but a lengthy exercise in mundanity.

One somewhat interesting specialization, +10 levels to upgrade your character, awful redesign of the main menu and crappy Act V — no one expected this expansion, but it fails to deliver anyway. Still, the new character class is a worthy addition.

They say that something is better than nothing, and Pandora is not a bad game. It’s just nowhere near the source of its inspiration – the still brilliant Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri.

Song of the Deep's first two hours can lull you into thinking that this is an awesome game: nice relaxing soundtrack, sensitive gameplay rules, a seemingly wide selection of abilities and their combinations. In reality, you'll get annoying encounters, boring boss fights, and repetitive puzzles.

Taking over the series development reins, Paintbucket Games chose a path of imitation by rehashing elements of the first two games without adding anything new. Diligently copying rules, gameplay mechanics and visual attributes, the developers missed the whole raison d'etre of the game — making tough decisions under pressure, because Beholder 3 is incapable of driving you into a corner.

Authentic environments, pleasant music and visuals will only get you so far. The second part of the story is very predictable, but the narrative is presented in such a confusing manner, that the first part becomes incomprehensive in hindsight.

The whole idea of Planetary Annihilation seemed *too cool* from the very beginning, so it’s no surprise that some of the promises were later forgotten. The developers made the obligatory stuff (after all, you can’t have an RTS about giant combat robots without said robots), but failed to include some of the most basic things that were present in Supreme Commander and even in Total Annihilation.
