This Frankenstein’s monster disguised as an adventure game is a clear example of how its creators do not understand what humor, storytelling or gameplay is. At first, you blame the cultural barrier between Japan and the Western world. Then you think that Access Games is trolling us. Finally, you realize that this is just interactive gibberish created by talentless hacks.

Left Alive is a strong contender for the dubious title of The Worst Game Based on a Famous Universe released by a top-tier publisher in this decade.

Awful placement of respawn points, guns that suck all the joy when you use them, dumb AI… and a loooong laundry list of bugs.

Shadows of Kurgansk also features a handful of character stats, hallucinations and even angling, none of which are a reason to touch this game.

Just like Hotline Miami, LA Cops also requires planning, excellent reflexes and never forgives a mistake. But here, you also have to babysit a stupid AI partner, wage war against an unwieldy camera, trying to rotate it to see an enemy in time, and deal with hordes of dumb, but sturdy, speedy criminals. Scary, right?

This one is for the most hardcore garbage collectors on Steam.

I have a feeling that the developer of Lex Mortis has never managed to nail down the concept of his creation. The game’s official description doesn’t lie — we are free to roam around a sizable sandbox, only there is nothing to do.

The contents of the two available episodes extinguishes all hope that somehow, someday Majestic Nights will get better.

By the way, this is just Episode 1. Do the developers really think that anyone would go for seconds?
