Hotshot Racing feels like a product made with passion, which at the same time manages to entertain the player and to create pleasant memories from a more "innocent" era that has passed irrevocably. The limited content and the not so interesting alternative modes deduct some points from the final rating, something that can be corrected in the future with the appropriate support from the developers.

Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap brings a breath of fresh air that has been absent from the series in recent years. With better optimization and more content in the form of new Warmages, traps, maps and modes it could easily become one of the best entries in the series.

Although it is a low budget production it achieves in creating a really intense and frightening atmosphere. Resident Evil Revelations 2 makes a turn to the series' roots but with a more action profile.

Definitely not a bad game. It’s just that it takes a potentially dangerous route, far away from the franchise’s roots, trying to appeal to a wider audience. Inevitably it’s flirting with the more mainstream category, which may lead it to be lost in the pile of that overloaded market and at the same time disappoint the loyal fans of Sherlock Holmes games.

Tower of Time isn’t going to break any new ground and some aspects of it are relatively streamlined, but overall is an enjoyable Dungeon Crawler. Its story is quite engaging, the environments brim with detail, there are lots of stuff to find and combat is well designed, though a tad repetitive in the long run.

Daymare: 1998 is an unapologetic love letter to horror games of the 90's and especially the Resident Evil series. It may be janky and tough at times, which is likely to put off newcomers, but it will have a certain appeal to the fans of the genre.

A solid Narrative RPG, not without its flaws, but one that works unsurprisingly decently as a substitute amidst the scarcity of Vampire RPGs.

If you love 60’s rock and roll culture, Wailing Heights’ wicked funny script will have you in stitches despite some obvious rough budget edges in production. There’s a fierce soul kicking in this one and the gorgeous artwork and inspired, wacky soundtrack more than make up for its mechanical shortcomings.

Phantom Fury is an engaging FPS, taking cues from early 3D shooters, such as Half-Life and SiN. For the most part it is well executed, having solid gunplay, a staggering arsenal of weapons and great level variety. It could have been an amazing experience if it wasn't for some pesky issues, primarily of a technical nature.

Pendragon utilizes the Arthurian Legend as a backdrop to bring forth an intriguing coalescence of chess-like tactics and interactive fiction. Challenging yet accessible and addictive.

Dragon Quest Heroes is a decent title and arguably the best Musou-style game in the history of their existence. Too bad for the lack of a co-op mode.

The first episode of Resident Evil Revelations 2 is a survival horror game of the new age. Maybe not exactly as the genre used to be, but with respect to its roots.

Brutal, uncompromising and deeply unsettling in it’s portrayal of the scariest monster of them all: “Good People” doing what they deem best for “society’s progress”. Feels like an interactive VR art installation depicting a horror that must not be forgotten. Cannot be rightly called a “game” and is impossible to forget once experienced.

With clever puzzles but also poor graphics and story, the final feeling is positive. As the difficulty is above average, the game is recommended only for the fans of the genre.

A fun, simple and accessible card game, great for playing on a tablet or for gamers who are new to the genre. More experienced players may find that the game is somewhat lacking in strategic depth.

Decent story and a well-crafted plot, but plagued by many bugs and glitches, with some polish, Beyond A Steel Sky could be a much superior experience.

If you are a fan of the Match-3 puzzle game genre and you're looking for a meaty title that offers 40+ hours of fun, Tumblestone is a good choice.

Standout visuals and an excellent soundtrack set an extraordinary mood, which is sabotaged by streamlined puzzles and a breakneck pace that leave little room for the mystery and characters to come into their own.

Randal's Tuesday has coherence, a clear beginning and end, nicely ties in with Randal's Monday, and hints that there may be a new adventure for Randal and his friends at some point. It just doesn't reach the level that its creators might have imagined and combined with the quality of the adventures released this year, Randal's Tuesday is simply a decent choice for fans of the genre.

While it's a shame that the PC users are treated as second class citizens, KONAMI after many missed years, finally delivered on the gameplay front. With its enhanced AI, the very well implemented collision system and snappy controls, PES 2016 has by far the best gameplay we've ever been graced with from a football game. Let's hope next year's PC installment won't be so much different than its console counter parts.

Whilst the need for constant grinding may prove too much for players looking for a carefree 80's-90's thrill, the sheer amount of love, soul and polish that has gone into every one of Punch Club's pixels, more than makes up for it. A delightful taste of what made our late childhood and early adolescence so much fun to live through and a pretty addicting management sim in its own right.

Even so, with its limitations and "transitional" nature, Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is a decent episode, especially for fans of the series, and well worth your time until Infinite Wealth.

Kao The Kangaroo is an enjoyable and fun platformer, whose low difficulty level combined with its short duration is a hindrance to its potential to be placed alongside top titles like Crash Bandicoot and Ratchet & Clank. However, its overall quality is high enough to make it undoubtedly a worthy recommendation for platformer fans.

Headlander is a decent Metroidvania game, although you will not feel thrilled with any of its virtues, nor disappointed with its issues.

Winters' Expansion offers a few more hours of entertainment to Resident Evil Village fans. Shadows of Rose is a good addition to the main story and The Mercenaries mini-game has its best iteration in years. Unfortunately, a mediocre implementation of the 3rd person mode and the steep price of admission, detract from its overall value.

99Vidas undoubtedly is a worthwhile suggestion for fans of the genre, that are willing to fully endorse the loveable retro character of the game.

Episode 2 keeps well the charming noir atmosphere of the first episode, adds up an improved plot and some nice dialogues, but a longer duration and tougher puzzles would be much appreciated.

There are not many new things under Planet Alpha's alien sun when it comes to platforming and revolutionary gameplay. However, it manages to provide a pleasantly colored tale of alien exploration and mystery to experience in your living room. Not a classic, yet a decent title with memorable visual aesthetics.

Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster is a classic survival horror game with better graphics and a new control scheme. Its old school gameplay mechanics probably make it inaccessible for new players but it still remains a good game with great atmosphere.

Despite its mistakes, Bloodrayne: Betrayal is an enjoyable game. The combination of beat' em up and platform elements creates an addictive and challenging title that will test your endurance for at least 5 hours.

Captain Tsubasa is not a game for everyone who loves football in the real world. It gives more importance to fan service than actual gameplay, fortunately without falling into gross mistakes.

Greak: Memories of Azur is a beautiful action/adventure, featuring unique ideas and clever puzzle mechanics, but also comes with notable shortcomings.

Assassin's Creed: Unity is maybe one of the best games of the series, but the unacceptable (for an AAA game) technical issues and the low performance even on high-end systems make it difficult to suggest someone buy at full price.

Delightful hand drawn graphics frame a short but ultimately winning and atmospheric introduction to the point and click adventure game genre. Hallin's work is quite impressive for a one-man project and is evidence of his potential as a designer if given a full production team.

A typical interactive storytelling game that offers some aspect of choice and consequence through dialogue with our ghost companion. Its strong point is the Victorian aesthetic that characterizes the melancholy that resides over the abandoned buildings of the islands that our heroine is marooned at. The main story is somewhat lacking and expected, and the game mostly shines when telling the lesser stories of the other past inhabitants of the islands. Technically although the 3d assets and the art that the player interacts with are highly polished, the outside natural locales are mostly unimpressive.

Fury Unleashed is all about decimating your enemies as fast as possible to keep that kill counter going while avoiding getting hurt in the process. Despite some balance issues, it's an enjoyable roguelike run 'n gun game, but unfortunately it'll be over before you know it.

Dexter Stardust: Adventures in Outer Space is a game worth trying at some point for adventure fans, especially at the price offered. It's not going to leave an indelible mark on the adventure game world, but it's an honest effort from a man who loves the genre and wants to contribute his bit to it.

A competent, well-made stealth game that can offer quite a few fun gameplay hours. Unfortunately, the transition from the RPG stylings of Of Orcs And Men to stealth caused the game to lose some of its special atmosphere and charm, mainly due to the lack of banter and dialogue between the two unlikely protagonists of the previous game. Still, if you're looking for a quality stealth game Styx: Master of Shadows is well worth the money.

A nice idea and solid implementation of the triangles usage. Highly recommended for the fans of the genre but I can't say the same for the rest of the gamers.

Nebuchadnezzar tries to capture the feel of the iconic city builders of the 90's like Pharaoh. While it offers an interesting Mesopotamian setting and some new mechanics regarding space and supply management, it does not provide meaningful challenge and a production level that would make it as iconic. Hopefully, it will be enriched with content from the community in the future as it currently is pretty barebones.

An honest, heart-on-its-sleeve tribute to the Quest for Glory games of yore. It does not reinvent the wheel, nor does it aspire to. A pleasantly nostalgic return to gaming's most romantic era.

Immortals: Fenyx Rising may not be aiming towards something specific, but it is still a very entertaining title with tons of activities to spend your time with. Its components will surely satisfy the majority of players, but not the most demanding who look for a more focused experience.

Surely the WotS is not a blockbuster that will turn the lights on it, as it is mainly addressed to the so-called fans of the genre. Everyone who adores this era and loves films like Seven Samurai and Yojimbo, will surely find a warmth in this title, the rest can try it in a break from their usual preferences and live the "Eastern Western" dream.

My Time at Portia offers many crafting activities, a vividly colored world that is really pleasant to explore and a main quest line. After a while, crafting requirements might prove to be somewhat of a grinding activity for some people and quests and inhabitants at times feel a bit dry. A pleasant and relaxing experience all in all that could be elevated with a little more invested writing.

Kholat has its flaws, especially when it comes to plot. However it is registered as a good game for the simple reason that it achieves its main target, which is to offer excitement. With its remarkable atmosphere, Kholat embraces the player in an immersive experience.

If you are keen of testing your patience and push the boundaries of your reflexes, Shadow Blade: Reload is a great choice. However, if chasing high-scores is not your thing, then the game has a few things to offer.

An adventure with a quite interesting main idea, but without the ideal implementation, so that it stands out.

This is a unique gateway into the world of figuring out what makes video games tick and the presentation is absolutely wonderful but only the most dedicated, hardcore, ingenious players will manage to see it through to it's end. Easily one of the hardest games of the past five years, Hack 'N' Slash is blessed and cursed by it's own unique design concept.

The return to Zenozoik will please gamers looking for something different from the ordinary in terms of atmosphere, visuals, and overall vibe. The gameplay, however, has issues that, on occasion, can prove to be frustrating.

Dredge will delight fans of cosmic horror and exploration of a strange world. Fans of survival and crafting games will not find what they want, even though the gameplay is based on such mechanics.

An interesting spin on the Darkest Dungeon formula that is very much worth a playthrough but currently lacks the necessary depth to ensure replayability.

If you had a good time playing the two previous Tomb Raider games, the same will happen with Shadow of the Tomb Raider. A strong love letter in the 80's, with alternate endings and plenty of puzzles, but with mediocre writing and some "moon logic".

Despite its flaws FIFA 22 manages to find the balance point between simulation and fun. Although the fact some of its modes are far from perfect, it can offer the thrills that football gives to its fans, both online and locally. The much-discussed HyperMotion does its job perfectly and justifies the need for this year's edition, in contrast with previous years. If you consider yourself a football fan, there's no need to hesitate into buying this year's edition.

A really good and simple platform game, which children and parents will love.

DreamBreak is a reasonably priced little gem and a must-buy proposal. It's really hard to rate a game like this when the duration of the whole action is so short. With a longer gameplay of 3 or 4 hours it would be a classic.

Halo Wars 2 is a decent title for newcomers to the RTS genre, who will be the ones that will mostly enjoy the game, especially in the innovative and fast-paced Blitz mode.

Aaru's Awakening is a fiendishly hard game that harkens back to an era where side scrolling games were made for patient and persistent gamers. Fans of the genre will appreciate the nostalgia trip but it's possible that some of them will be put off from its high difficulty and unforgiving gameplay. If you think you' re up to the challenge, then you should check it out, especially at a discount.

Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas is a Zelda clone game ported from iOS. Despite its poor graphics, it achieves to impart the feeling of exploration to the player. Even though it's not as good as Zelda, it still remains a very interesting project for the fans of action adventure games.

Even though Ary and the Secret of Seasons may not be the best action nor the best adventure game out there, it is unique in the way you decide how to change the environment around you.

Even though the areas feel somewhat detached from one another and the story doesn't advance as much as we'd like, Episode 3 is on par with the previous parts and leaves us craving for more.

A collection that is primarily based on the player's nostalgic mood, offering twelve classic games and a decent online mode. It is a nice recap for newcomers too, although it will not, perhaps, keep them occupied for too long.

Better than last year's version, but only just. Football Manager 2015 sports the usual array of interface, AI and match engine improvements but on a smaller scale than we are used to. As such this year's edition of the definitive football management sim is not the absolute must-buy that it usually is, but it is undoubtedly better than FM 2014 and it will provide hundreds of hours of gameplay to football and gaming fans worldwide.

Tails of Iron II: Whiskers of Winter retains its strong suites (impeccable presentation, satisfying combat) from its predecessor, but the simplistic quest design and, especially, the rote exploration have room for improvement and are holding it back from reaching its true potential.

If you are looking for a co-op action/puzzle game and you are not interested in spectacular graphics or impressive soundtracks, then Space Farmers will satisfy you completely. It is simple, fast, hard, addictive, somewhat repetitive but entertaining and it is recommended for some short spurts with your best buddy or your worst enemy.

NBA Playgrounds is a refreshing title that provides a full arcade basketball experience. Many basketball fans will be satisfied with its massive roster and hundreds of dunks and moves, although some gameplay mechanics need re-balancing.

A solid action-RPG with a thought-provoking story and fun combat that is held back by repetitive quests and some dated gameplay elements. It is well worth a playthrough but only the most devoted will have the stamina to replay it multiple times to get the full story.

Αssassin's Creed: Syndicate is not entirely a bad game, but it's time to seriously work on the eternal problems of the series, rather than hiding behind fancy graphics and impressive worlds.

Evil West is an old-school action game, conspicuously "brainless", but equally entertaining, suitable for fans of the genre.

Despite its drawbacks, Shadowgate manages to maintain the aura and evocative atmosphere of the original game. The old-school style of the game is more than obvious and will be appreciated mostly by the fans of the series.

Risen 3: Titan Lords is a traditional Piranha Bytes game with everything that the definition entails. Fans of the company know all too well that it is more than capable of creating engaging, engrossing RPGs and Risen 3 is no exception. However, the series' trademark idiosyncrasies are still there and that means that Risen 3: Titan Lords is, as is often the case with Piranha Bytes games, a "love it or hate it" affair.

Steel Assault is one of the cases that I would compare to a good cup of coffee. Enjoyable while it lasts, but something you'll probably forget after a few days. The wide gap between difficulties and the lack of variety in its action set pieces diminish its replayability and lasting appeal.

Just Cause 3 is the poetry of explosions. Continuous, glorious, nerve-shattering explosions. A particular breed of gamer will be in paradise, but if you are looking for a meaningful story or well written characters, Just Cause 3 comes up short compared to the competition.

Inexplicably not created in UbiArt framework, China offers a quality stealth platforming experience that Assassin's Creed fans will enjoy, but will ultimately remain in the genre's high water mark's (Mark of the Ninja) shadow.

Even though its writing comes off mostly as a well-meaning but adolescently naïve and anime inspired take on the bleak cyberpunk dystopia towards which we are invariably headed, The Red Strings Club piques the player’s interest by constantly throwing a new gameplay mechanic at them, with its social engineering mini-game presenting a rewarding challenge that all cyberpunk enthusiasts will relish.

Unorthodox, intoxicating fun from a time when everything seemed to be simpler, easier and full of beautiful danger. It may not be the Lost Holy Grail of 90’s point-and-click adventure gamers, but Red Comrades is a true cult gem, sparkling with irreverent humor and deranged puzzles. Given its low price point, it’s very easy to recommend to genre fans looking for something off the beaten path.

Tech Support: Error Unknown features a mix of Papers Please! gameplay mechanics and Orwell gameplay and mechanics. It does not innovate but it manages to convey the angst of working as IT support, especially for an evil mega-corp.

A heartfelt, if not groundbreaking tribute to the King’s Quest games of yore, The Order Of The Thorne successfully honors its inspirations but has yet to prove if it can firmly stand on its own as a solid adventure game proposition of our times.

A delightfully tongue in cheek death cult simulator, whose excellent aesthetics stumble over a very high randomness factor. Each new game relies more on blind luck than strategy in its early stages, painfully taking you out of the “Our Fish Lord Cometh” fantasy and reminding you of the underlying mechanical structure. Still, quite a refreshing “shot” in between more demanding games.

Escape Dead Island is a solid c-reel splatter movie, offering simple yet satisfying stealth and combat, along with a plethora of interesting collectibles to discover. Its main narrative and the way it presents itself is by far its greatest strength. Its cardinal sin is that it is being sold as a full price AAA title, when it is very clearly, a budget release, destined for Steam sale cult game stardom. It will entertain you, but the price needs to be right.

A true old school platformer with a lot of trial and error and many "cheap" deaths. Gamers who have the patience to deal with this will enjoy the story and some moments of good level designing.

With the latest installment, Mr.47 is back in his original and true form. For everyone who was looking for the sequel to Blood Money, this is it, if you can get past the rough always-online component that affects the single player experience and leaves a bad taste.

Partisans 1941 appearance in the genre of real time tactics games tries to bring us memories from the past of the genre. Even though it is composed of some fresh ideas, these are left half-finished and the result can be frustrating. But where it fails miserably is when its developers try to tear apart the connection of Nazism to the dark events of WW II.

KAPIA is a point and click adventure reminiscent of the great classics of the 00's. Although it's pretty polished it seems as a demo of something bigger and the ideas it addresses fail to develop organically. As far as puzzles are concerned, they are fairly plain and offer little challenge. Considering that it was developed by just two people, some aspects of the game like its aesthetics, animations and voice acting are very commendable.

Even though Inquisition-Martyr does a lot of things right, the surprising technical issues and the combat gameplay, which is more superficial than it actual looks like, do not do it any favors. However, and despite the issues, it remains the best representation of the W40K universe lore in videogames.

Simon the Sorcerer: Origins is an adventure game aimed primarily at fans of adventure games and the series in general, and we would not recommend it to someone new to the genre, due to the way the puzzles are implemented. It will not change Simon's status in the adventure world, but it is a fine addition to the series, which respects the material it is called upon to manage.

Gravity Ghost creates a nice world in space where the swinging between planets is an interesting and relaxing activity. Even if you don't find this enough, the great music and the well narrated story is a reason to give the game a chance.

One of the best Single-Player segments we've seen in a Call of Duty game, combined with rather lacking Multiplayer, comprise a title that goes in with guns blazing but ultimately falls short.

The apparent willingness from the development team to invest emotion and drama in the game's plot, combined with various, interesting, characters give us a nice start for an interactive storytelling game whose biggest drawback is the complete lack of voice overs. At this point, the choices we make do not lead to serious differentiation of events, but that's something many games of this relatively new category suffer from.

Amazingly hand drawn backgrounds and characters, together with a crispy atmosphere, offer a unique Norse vibe to this crafting/survival 2D experience. Suggested for diehard fans of the genre or for those looking for a Scandinavian themed setting. Otherwise it suffers from a barebones combat system and pacing issues that make the game repetitive and cumbersome after a while. It works as a whole but doesn't stand out against similar titles.

Moebius: Empire Rising bears a resemblance to an expensive item, like the ones its protagonist values. While initially it seems extremely valuable, even though it comes in a not so beautiful package, in the end it appears to be of not so high value. It's not fake by any means, it's just that it does not correspond to the promises its fame and figure had created.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India is a decent effort, perhaps the closest thing to Prince of Persia we can have today, but it certainly would have better luck if it maintained a high level of quality throughout its (short) duration.

Save Koch boasts quality of writing and depth of event inter-connectivity, that far exceed its humble budget. On the other hand, it drops players in media res with very little explanation of its world, characters or dependencies, heavily relying on a player's willingness to experiment for hours on end. Depending on your particular tastes, this can be either a diamond in the rough or a bitter case of "almost".

Clever profound, narrative elements which target a mature audience are hindered by gameplay elements which are intended for rather inexperienced players. The lack of gameplay identity or - better- the confusing amalgam of its elements really spoil the happiness.
