MotoGP 09/10 is well made and really rewards players who really learn to control their bike. However, an enthusiasm towards motorbike racing is recommended, and the steep learning curve means that casual multiplayer is out of the question.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine lets us walk in Logan's shoes for a few days. And we like it. Although the game doesn't offer anything new to the genre, it is still worth playing. It has a few welcome gimmicks, like the feral sense and the ability to deal with enemies in many various ways, but the dull boss fights and occasional bugs lower the total score.

Whilst being colourful and sweet, Eternal Sonata has a few archaic gameplay elements that are totally unnecessary, such as insta-death battles and a slow-paced story. However, as far as role playing games go this isn't bad. It's just a pity that the game doesn't break very much new ground.

Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time is a good game, and sometimes a very good one at that, but apart from a few new time-centric puzzles on Clank's behalf it doesn't bring very much new material to the table. The titular Crack in Time mainly seems to lead to the previous PS3 games in the series. And all the PS2 versions before that. It's fun, but hardly inspiring.

Ghostbusters: The Videogame feels just like a new chapter in the saga with its well-penned script and excellent voice acting, but apart from the ghost wrangling the gameplay itself never manages to reach any greater heights. The graphics are average at best, and the repetitive 8 hour story isn't that exciting. However, the oodles of charm that the game exudes more than makes up for this. A must for Ghostbusters fans, but only mildly interesting for newcomers to the series.

Seeing as neither Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero 2 or Guitar Hero: Rocks the '80s were released on the PlayStation 3 this compilation isn't too shoddy, especially since all the songs now work with the new peripherals. Turtles in Time is not aligned with the present. The 90's arcade-style gameplay feels remarkably old, but the nostalgia and fun moments makes up the lack of new content. The game itself however, is well made and fast-paced. Fans and children of the 80's will love it, others will probably only find an ok beat'em up platformer.

A strong 5 or a weak 6? The end result doesn't really change the fact that - although I somewhat enjoyed playing Sacred 2 - it contains way too many bugs and is far too repetitive and unengaging to sparkle among the higher numbers. But if you really like role playing games it may be worth the effort.

Bayonetta on the PS3 is a rather bad version of a pretty good fighting game. The graphics are both slower and less crisp than its Xbox 360 counterpart, but the worst thing of all is the incredibly long loading times between levels, between cut scenes, while entering menus - and even whilst picking up objects.

Aliens vs Predator has locked its sights completely on James Cameron's movie Aliens from 1986, and makes a real effort to emulate the feeling in the game. And it succeeds to a certain degree in the marine campaign, with claustrophobic firefights and authentic sounds. However, the story is both extremely linear and pretty short, and all we're left with are the multiplayer modes, and though they may be fun they can't carry the entire game on their shoulders.
