With Cronos: The New Dawn, Bloober Team has crafted a brilliant survival horror title, with a unique premise, an intriguing story, and a truly captivating setting. The Orphans are a challenging enemy that not only keeps you on the edge of your seat but also forces you to carefully manage every bullet. The varied way you explore the world also deserves praise. It's clear the studio wanted to push the creative envelope. Unfortunately, the technical side of things is far from perfect, with graphics that aren't always convincing and a frame rate that occasionally dips. Don't let that deter you, though. Cronos: The New Dawn is more than worth your hard-earned money and precious time.- PlaySense

Hell is Us isn't a one-size-fits-all game, and that's precisely what makes it so powerful. Rogue Factor clearly poured a lot of love into its production. The game relies on you to take the time to explore, solve puzzles, and find your way, sometimes leading you to get lost in the beautiful environments, each with its own unique story. The combination of mystery and unknowing, the unique environments, an interesting combat system, and the immersive audiovisual experience give the game its unique character. While a bit more variety in weapons and enemies wouldn't have hurt, these elements more than compensate. Combined with a relatively reasonable price tag, Hell is Us delivers an unforgettable experience that's both challenging and memorable, provided the game's premise appeals to you. A clear recommendation.- PlaySense

The controls in Drag x Drive are unique, which immediately makes the game a great showcase for the mouse functionality of the Joy-Cons. The gameplay is also entertaining, especially with friends, and the side activities are a nice change of pace. Along with these positive points, there are also negative points. For example, the content is very sparse, your character—which you can customize—is rather soulless, and it's a missed opportunity that the game cannot be played locally.- PlaySense

This game takes us back to the early days of the mafia, set in Sicily. You can expect a nice adventure full of action and excitement, but at the same time, it's all rather predictable. The large number of knife fights that serve as the standard climax to a boss battle also feel rather trite. It is a technically excellent game with good and engaging gameplay, but at the same time, it is not groundbreaking in any way. Hangar 13 plays it very safe, so if you are familiar with the franchise (especially the first part), you know what to expect.- PlaySense

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers offers a compelling story with deep lore, although it does take a while to get going. Nevertheless, the game has plenty to offer in terms of combat, level design, challenge, and interesting systems to keep the gameplay varied. Technically, it falls a little short due to low resolutions and inconsistent textures, but ultimately that doesn't detract from the pure gameplay, which is more than solid.- PlaySense

The gameplay of Killing Floor 3 is perfectly fine with above-average combat. In addition, the range of maps and weapons is also very varied, which adds to the fun, and the soundtrack deserves a special mention as it fits perfectly. However, we cannot ignore the fact that in terms of content, it is still a bit thin at the moment, and the story also lacks depth. Finally, the performance could be improved. So there are a few points of criticism to take into account. However, the history of this developer with previous games teaches us that it will ultimately be rectified.- PlaySense

Just like in the original, the action is incredibly satisfying, and the addition of new enemies adds a little more variety to the adventure. This adventure is standalone and definitely worth playing if you enjoyed the original game. At the same time, it is still not technically stable, and because of the OmniTower setting, it is a lot grimmer and at times a bit more boring to watch. Nevertheless, it is a solid and fun shooter.- PlaySense

Donkey Kong is getting his own 3D action-adventure, and it turns out great. The level destruction feels satisfying, the stages are varied, the presentation is vibrant and colorful, and there’s an incredible amount to do. The fact that the game might be a bit on the easy side is a shame in terms of challenge, but that’s literally the only point of criticism. Looking for an excellent game for the Nintendo Switch 2? Then Donkey Kong Bananza is an absolute must-play.- PlaySense

Did you enjoy the original games? Then this is definitely recommended thanks to the nostalgia it brings. The visual upgrade does the game justice, the gameplay is delightful as ever and there is once again a huge amount to experience, thanks in part to a number of new levels. It's a shame, though, that the original soundtrack has been changed except for a few tracks, which may feel a bit weird for players of the original. But we can live with that, considering the rest of the game is more than fine.- PlaySense

Although MindsEye brings varied missions and entertaining situations to the action, thanks in part to solid acting, the final quality is below par. The frame rate is dramatic, the game has many bugs, the AI is stupid, there are many graphical glitches and we could go on and on. However, the most sad thing is that MindsEye has quite a lot of potential, but it simply does not live up to it because of its many shortcomings.- PlaySense

Remedy is venturing into a cooperative game in a familiar universe with FBC: Firebreak, which is an interesting new step. The gameplay mechanics are unique, the gameplay has potential and the areas you get into feel solid. Basically, then, a fine game, were it not for the fact that the content feels a bit sparse and the combat is somewhat mediocre. The game could use updates and more content here and there, however, giving it the potential to grow into something great.- PlaySense

With the second installment, Kojima builds on the basics of the original, but also manages to surprise with a rock-solid story, memorable characters, a beautiful game world, lots of features and so on. A cooperative multiplayer game in the Elden Ring universe, something new for FromSoftware and it's panning out well. The game has a high addiction factor due to its interesting gameplay loop, the bosses are fantastic and the interplay with different characters makes for an engaging gameplay dynamic. Take note, however, that the frame rate is not stable and if you are a solo player, the game feels different given its focus on co-op. Nevertheless, Elden Ring: Nightreign feels like a fresh new breath of fresh air in a familiar universe that we can recommend to any player of the original.- PlaySense

The Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is an entertaining and creative interactive tutorial that gives you all the ins and outs about the platform. Educational on the one hand, entertaining on the other thanks to the mini-games you can play. The explanations are clear and the presence of tech demos is also very interesting. That said, it really should have just been free, because it remains an interactive tutorial and it's annoying that you can't finish it 100% if you miss certain accessories. Mario Kart is back with a brand new installment that basically offers more of the same, supplemented with all sorts of new elements. The Knockout Tour is wonderfully chaotic, the large roster of characters and karts is fantastic, the multiplayer is top notch entertainment, and there is a large world that you can freely traverse to explore. Too bad that that world is so big that it's a bit barren in terms of activities, and it's also a missed opportunity that you can't free-roam in multiplayer in a normal way, but other than that Mario Kart World is a fantastic game that we can recommend to every Switch 2 owner.- PlaySense

BLEACH does a fine job of translating into an engaging fighting game, where staying true to the source material is a very strong point. South of Midnight offers you a modern, fun fairy tale characterized by strong audio and fine combat. In that context, a nice adventure, were it not for the fact that the game falls a bit short in level design and predictable arenas, making it a repetition of moves in the long run. With this new golf game, 2K Games takes the franchise to an even higher level. EvoSwing is a good gameplay element and it is fun to be able to create your own courses. More importantly, the entry level for beginners is fine, but it's also great for pros. Graphically it is a step forward and the MyCareer mode is also heading in the right direction. Mario & Luigi: Brothership resurrects a long-dead franchise from the grave, and we’re so glad Nintendo decided to give this series another chance. It’s a great game, although our biggest gripe can be summed up as ‘…but it takes a while to get really good’. The story starts off a bit shaky, but gets a lot better after a certain point. The islands are very unique and the level design is great, but the early islands are a bit small and limited compared to the later locations. The combat is also incredibly addictive, although you’ll have to wait a while before you unlock the most fun and in-depth features. Don’t let that spoil your fun, though, because Mario & Luigi: Brothership is definitely worth the time, for both newcomers and old fans. One tip: make sure you’re ready to fire your cannon in time when you sail past an island, because having to wait for your ‘Sail Island’ to sail an extra lap before you can fire again is quite annoying.- PlaySense

The story in Silent Hill 2 is rock solid, which is partly due to the excellent voice-acting. The revamped boss fights, soundtrack and visual presentation are also excellent. This re-release of Disney Epic Mickey is a fine reunion that excels for its creative world, atmosphere and visual presentation, were it not for a game breaking bug toward the end. In addition, the lack of voice-acting is a bit uncomfortable in the experience and it's odd that you can't revisit levels afterwards because of the many secrets to discover. Some points of criticism, and while those can be looked past, the game breaking bug is a problem which has a considerable effect on the score.- PlaySense

With some slower gameplay, EA Sports FC 25 plays very well, giving the right feeling. In addition, new additions are very good, such as Rush, FC IQ, the use of Cranium and various gameplay tweaks. Does that make it the ultimate soccer game? Yes in the sense of for lack of better/competition, no when it comes to the bugs and glitches, as well as the lack of innovation in the game. It's mostly more of the same with no real big steps forward in gameplay, with the tweaks not necessarily all doing what they are supposed to.- PlaySense

Funko Fusion creatively plays with various classic films and licenses, presenting fine music and humor in the process, which makes sure that part is in order. At the same time, many things are out of order. For example, the frame rate is unstable, the game has annoying bugs, it is often unclear what the objective is, and more. While the concept is good, the technical execution is very disappointing.- PlaySense

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom follows a different approach than you are used to from the series. Instead of an action/adventure game, you play a puzzle adventure. This generally works out well. The gameplay is fun, with a fairly large world in which there is a lot to do. The puzzles are interesting and sometimes quite challenging in the dungeons. What does not work so well is choosing the Echoes. At a certain point you get so many that choosing takes a lot of time, which interrupts the action for too long. The optional rifts also become a bit monotonous quite quickly. The biggest thorn in the side is the performance, with a frequently changing frame rate and resolution, which makes the game not play well. That affects the experience. If the technical side is or is being addressed, you can add a whole point to the final score.- PlaySense

Playing Quidditch was not possible in Hogwarts Legacy, but we now have a solution for that with Quidditch Champions. An entertaining game in which the roles of Quidditch are well translated to the gameplay, which is especially fun in multiplayer. Definitely worth it for fans, but at the same time we must note that it is somewhat limited in terms of content and it also does not impress too much visually. A fine game, but nowhere really outstanding.- PlaySense

A must play has appeared with Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2. This game offers an exciting and engaging campaign, with Operations being a valuable cooperative addition. Then you also have an excellent multiplayer, with everything wrapped up with a nice audiovisual jacket. One drawback is that the performance is not yet optimal and there is some lag online, but when that is fixed there is no reason to pass up this game.- PlaySense

With Astro Bot, Team Asobi puts out a peerless platformer that doesn't really do anything wrong. The gameplay, the music, the graphics, the variety, the fun, the cameos, the adventure, it is a near-perfect execution of a 3D platformer. Did you like Astro's Playroom? Then this is definitely a must-have. One of the most fun games of this year.- PlaySense

The universe that Star Wars Outlaws presents you with is really optimal enjoyment and the addition of syndicates does the gameplay justice. The audio is fantastic and the story and characters are very interesting. But where the game performs really well in those areas, it is mostly more of the same. There are many opportunities for original and unique gameplay possibilities, but instead the game plays very much on safe. Also, interaction with Nix is very limited, and on top of that, the whole upgrade system feels rather uninspiring and even somewhat limiting.- PlaySense

This game presents you with an adventure that is quite entertaining, but it lacks a bit of tension and urgency, which is pretty crazy in a murder case. In addition, it is often too unclear what to do, making it trial and error which takes you out of the immersion. This is due to an illogical structure. Nevertheless, the adventure in itself is otherwise fine thanks to the well-developed characters and excellent voice-acting.- PlaySense

The latest installment in the franchise is more than welcome and scores points mainly on its beautiful and varied world. The combat is also diverse and the soundtrack is incredibly enjoyable. However, the pace of the game is a bit crazy, the dialogues are choppy and the animations are a bit disappointing. Still some flaws, but if you are a fan of the franchise you will nevertheless enjoy it.- PlaySense

The combination of noir with a futuristic setting picks up well in Nobody Wants to Die, which presents you with an interesting story with fun investigations. The voice acting is also strong, making for a solid adventure that does some new things. There is little to criticize about the game per se, although the lack of chapter select is a shame and the textures are sometimes of somewhat low quality.- PlaySense

The latest iteration in the franchise offers more of the same and improvements. For example, you can now create your own team, you get an even better look behind the scenes and the voiced communication is a nice touch. The game is mostly everything you already know, but just a little better and more comprehensive. At the same time, the game still has some audiovisual bugs and the negotiation system could have been better.- PlaySense

If you know the series, then you will be able to have fun with this game despite it being separate from the larger storyline. If you are not familiar with it, then you will not understand much of it because the story will be impossible to follow. Although the game has some nice mini-games to offer and is graphically neat, it is somewhat repetitive and too limited. Nice for fans, but not an outlier.- PlaySense

Mysterious things happen on the oil rig you visit in this game, and the result is a captivating adventure characterized by its strong atmosphere, bolstered by good voice-acting and catchy vibe. As a psychological horror game, an excellent title, although the game gives away just a little too many hints with yellow paint. Also, chapter select is missing and that's a shame, but don't let that stop you from playing the game, it's worth it.- PlaySense

Capcom brings with Kunitsu-Gami a game that excels in atmosphere, which comes from the beautifully detailed environments, which plays well with the gameplay elements. The game suffers from a boring story, uninspired voice acting, a forced grind, a mediocre presentation and, above all, lots of bugs and glitches. All ingredients that do not make a good game and that is a shame, because the atmosphere and setting are quite interesting. The management aspect is also fascinating. Indeed, the basis for a good tactical game is definitely there, but the many negative elements get in the way of its potential.- PlaySense

The revamped career mode provides more depth and a detailed run through a season, which is a valuable refresh. It's also cool that the Driver Rating has more influence. We should also point out that the revamped handling system is a step forward, but it still needs some tinkering. Furthermore, visually it is a step forward in terms of models, although it is odd that Tsunoda is suddenly a whole lot bigger. Finally, the AI is a bit inconsistent, but basically F1 24 is a more than excellent racer.- PlaySense

Sker Ritual copies the Zombies concept of Call of Duty and throws its own sauce over it. This results in a pretty fun title that excels mainly in its level design and gameplay with friends. Still, it has a lot of shortcomings. For example, the story is nothing, at times it is unfair and technically rough. Also, the game is rather ugly, which is a shame. The Top Spin franchise is back and what the game does well is presenting you nice tennis gameplay. Indeed, you play a delightful game of tennis in this game, which you learn through excellent tutorials. The career mode is also a pleasure to play through, but so much for the good news. Less good news is that visually it looks questionable, especially the tennis players and outside of career mode the game is not that engaging. Online you can also get started, of course, but there, as always with 2K Sports games, you have the VC ruining the fun.- PlaySense

Like previous games in the franchise, this one is also incredibly relaxing to play and even educational here and there. Still, we can't get around the fact that it is not too engaging, which is due to the long load times and because there is fairly little to do and unlock. The SAND LAND manga sees its translation into a game with this title that comes out just fine. This is thanks to the fun combat, the cool characters and the hefty amount of content. MotoGP 24 is the best game in the franchise to date. This is due to the new transfer market, the refinement of gameplay thanks to the adaptive difficulty and stewards, although they often make curious decisions as well. In addition, the game lacks real innovation in its various modes. In terms of gameplay, it is top notch, but the rest is all rather basic. Newcomer? Then this is your motor racing game. Sea of Thieves on the PlayStation 5 is a game that absolutely holds its own. Playing especially a crew is incredibly fun and there is plenty to do and explore. This new adventure of Senua is somewhat less bleak than the previous game, as she has her demons under control and knows how best to deal with them. That said, her mental state is still problematic and she runs into intense situations in this new adventure in Iceland. In that regard the game is an almost perfect execution on all levels: engaging story, beautiful graphics, a strong soundtrack, outstanding voice-acting, and a compelling presentation.- PlaySense

This remake of the originally Nintendo GameCube game is a must play if you don't have or haven't played the original game. The charm of the story and visual style will have you enjoying it, the soundtrack is on point and the story is engaging. A South Park game is always welcome, and Ubisoft has shown how to do it. THQ Nordic, on the other hand, is showing how not to do it. The levels are rather simplistic, the combat is stiff, it gets repetitive very quickly and the game has difficulty spikes. On top of that, South Park in 3D feels strange and the game just isn't that engaging. Still, to end on a positive note, the AI is okay and the original voices are used. Shift Up's console debut can be called successful. Although you notice that it is the developer's first major console production; for example, dialogues are forced, the game has many minor frustrations and awkwardnesses, the overall package minus these issues stands like a house. Dragon's Dogma 2 offers much the same as the previous installment. Expect varied combat and gameplay options, a graphically fine presentation, beautiful soundtrack and a world that demands to be discovered. The gameplay of Tales of Kenzera: ZAU is nice thanks to the fine movement and cool combat. At the same time, it is unfortunate that the game quickly becomes repetitive in platforming and the battles are somewhat limited due to a lack of variety in enemies. The game can be described as Metroidvania in a way, but also not quite - it is a lot more accessible, which in turn makes it interesting for a wide audience. Overall, the game is certainly not bad, but it has so much more potential.- PlaySense

With Princess Peach: Showtime! you get a game that is right up her alley. You play a fun action adventure game in the theater that is filled with variety, making it not easily boring. With accessible gameplay, it is for everyone, young and old, but this also makes the game fairly quick to finish. The difficulty level is simply too low, and the blurry image quality doesn't do much for the gaming experience either. Unicorn Overlord is a good game from Vanillaware, in which the gameplay is what counts. This is deep and tactical. In addition, the visual design is very pleasant, but the story is a bit cliché and the social aspect is a bit disappointing. Pacific Drive brings something new to the survival genre and does a fine job of it in itself. It is atmospheric, at times stressful and the many ways to upgrade provide a reason to keep playing. As do the story missions. But with these positives, there are also some negatives to note. For example, the duration of each run is very unpredictable which can be inconvenient for your planning and you have to go through the same areas every time you want to achieve something new. At many times the game is also too dark, making it difficult to see what you are doing, and the very bland controls can be frustrating at times.- PlaySense

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth follows in the footsteps of its predecessor and honours one of the greatest RPGs of all time with another fantastic reimagination. The story is still as enticing and entertaining as it was before, but the unknown variables that this version adds to that, turn Rebirth into an entirely new adventure, even for fans of the original. There’s lots of stuff to do (fun minigames and side quests) and you won’t be bored, despite some areas being a bit too ‘empty’ from time to time and some blurry visuals. These are minor issues though, because Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a must-play in the genre.- PlaySense
