Section 8 tries to combine with some success many of the best elements of popular multiplayer shooters and boosts the package with rocket-powered action. Unfortunately not many players have found the game. [Nov 2010]

Here’s something that came out of the blue – a superhero license that's brilliant! Arkham Asylum is a great mixture of exploration, brawls and sneaking. With a good story, great cast and style it's also thoroughly polished. [Aug 2009]

Offers a perfect blend of retro gameplay and modern design sensibilities. Xbox Live Arcade games don’t come much better than this! [Aug 2009]

A really good FPS, which borrows interesting elements from GTA-style sandboxes. The weapons, veil-abilities and enemies are excellent. The multiplayer-experience is nothing special, though. [Aug 2009]

Osmos is great fun in short sessions. The basic idea is simple, but the levels stay interesting. Amazing soundtrack and funky visuals make Osmos a good way to chill out. [Mar 2010]

For point’n click adventure gamers Still Life 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the original serial killer hunt. SL2 to is true to its style meaning that it’s still as bloody and violent as the original – exceptional thing in adventure game. The game is really compact and all the events take place in a small environment which works out surprisingly well. Puzzle design is fairly good, but there’s awful lot of pixel-hunting and running to and fro. The plot twists are good but the overall storyline has many flaws. All in all Still life 2 isn’t as good as its predecessor, but it’s still worth a try if you’re into serial killer cat-and-mouse-things. [Feb 2010]

Hearts of Iron III has lot of potential but is crippled by bugs and flawed AI. The addon surely will fix many problems but are fans willing to sacrifice 20 buck for a patch? [June 2010]

Fallout 3: Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta are Fallout 3's last two expansions and surprisingly from the opposite ends of the quality spectrum. Point Lookout is an enjoyable, well-made and immersive swamp adventure, whereas Mothership Zeta is boring as hell and plays like a crappy FPS. [Aug 2009]

An interesting blend of classic group beat 'em up and gamemodes lifted from FPS-games. It’s at the same time monotonous, chaotic and fun. [Aug 2009]

Memento Mori is a heavily story-driven point'n click game with beautiful graphics and great musical score. The plot twists and turns nicely during the game. Unfortunately the puzzle design isn't very original and most of the puzzles aren't very challenging, although moving the puzzle solving to 3D does make some of the problems seem new and refreshing. The voice acting is occasionally very annoying but you get used to it. Overall Memento Mori is a good purchase for an adventure gamer Both its story and the shocking finale linger on the edge of thoughts for a long time after playing through the game. This is the way to end a game. [Jan 2010]

The game has a nice blend of economics and naval warfare. The basic idea just needs little more variation and wider range of victory conditions to keep the game fresh. [Aug 2009]

Motion Plus tech demo lacks the depth of the real game. Non-gamers loves this though, and you can have a lot of fun with it, if your friends are stupid, drunk or both. [July 2009]

Way more than a simple expansion – it’s practically a sequel. The three new game modes are excellent additions to the basic formula. Where are the classic tracks from the first WipEout, though? [Aug 2009]

Little King’s Story is (hopefully) the sleeper hit of this spring. The cute Japanese visuals hide a surprisingly deep, varied and at times rock hard game that is a joy to play. This is an old school game with a capital G and just what the Wii needs. [June 2009]

Shows that the Monkey Island still got what it takes. The new art and musical score are beautiful and voice acting is of good quality. Story and writing are still superb, puzzles are inventive and the game is witty. On the minus side the interface is a little obsolete and there's also a little bit too much running to and fro. Also the imitators of Monkey Island series have eaten away a little bit of the original's magic. Nevertheless the game's still well worth it’s price. [Aug 2009]

Trine integrates physics in to a platformer and the result is beautiful, innovative and fun to play. Unfortunately the storyline is far from original and the slaying of enemy hordes isn't as fun as solving the puzzles. [July 2009]

Shines in flight and physics modeling as well as the actual combat, but AI and especially the campaign engine could use a lot of further development. Whether or not the engine can handle proper campaigns remains to be seen, however. [Apr 2010]

The original board game is brilliant but Cyanide seemed to try everything to poison the idea. Luckily they didn’t succeed. Upgrades have fixed a lot of problems and only the online game system should be redone from the scratch. Online match making feels like it is 1999 again. [Aug 2009]
