It's slightly dazzling that the best Wii game of 2009 is based on a formula from 25 years ago. However it's used imaginatively and the new multiplayer mode is great fun. The tight controls and challenge of yesteryears are still charming. [Dec 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

0-D Beat Drop is lacking in the strategy department, but makes up for it with its furious speed. Being able to create your own soundtrack with the Beat-o-Matic is an especially nice feature. [Mar 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

A true video-game equivalent of a Jerry Bruckheimer/Michael Bay action movie. The singleplayer is engaging while it lasts, but the game's true value lies in the multiplayer. The online matches are fast, fun and highly addictive. [Nov 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

A great game on another platform. Modern Warfare looses much of its graphical glory on Wii and the point & click shooting style works much better with mouse & keyboard or with Smith & Wesson than what it does with Wiimote & nunchuck. With these deficits the game drops down to a mediocre experience. [Dec 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

Mildly modernized Excitebike. That can be both a good and a bad thing, depending on your point of view. [Apr 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

A well made traditional fantasy RPG, even though the marketing department in Bioware would have you think otherwise. The world is well fleshed out and the story is traditional, but still interesting. The game lacks the truly epic atmosphere and realistic looking actors of Mass Effect, but it still manages to be great fun. Big plus for surprisingly challenging combat, which you don't see that much nowadays. [Nov 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

It's clear that the developers didn't have enough time to properly finish the game. As it is now it's ugly and full of bugs and bad gameplay. A shame really, because with some proper polishing it could've been a really good platformer. [Jan 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

There are some good innovations in PES 2010 like new tactical options. Revamped Master League is also a welcomed addition and finally PES looks good. The main problem is that on the pitch PES 2010 feels all too familiar. Next year we should see a whole new passing system and more convincing duels. [Nov 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

Misses the point completely. It tries too much to be semi-believable, when it should be completely unbelievable. The result: a bad Burnout-clone. [Nov 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

An easy, pretty and fun platform adventure, which throws some elements from skateboarding games and Katamari Damacy into the mix. [Jan 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

A pretty good add-on for a great game, except for missing multiplayer. Adventures of USSR Marines are far more interesting than eg. Normandy. [Jan 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

Once again extends Rockstar's epic Liberty City saga. Although it's just DLC, it could easily be sold as an separate sequel. On the bad side there are few really annoying flying missions and the shooting sequences still feel quite numb. Even with the few missteps the game is really enjoyable and addicting combination of adventure, action and driving. [Nov 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

Forza Motorsport 3 takes a good game (Forza 2) and makes it even better. There is simply tons of stuff to do, incredible amount of cars to drive and new things to try out. The cars handle very realistically and driving is always fun, even with slower vehicles. The makers really love cars, and the passions shows in every aspect of the game. Driving games don't get much better than this. [Nov 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

A Diablo style dungeon crawler where the main idea is to slay hundreds or even thousands of monsters and collect all kinds of magical loot. The game does have a couple of fresh ideas such as the pet companion that assists you in battle and can also storage items or sell them in the village. The main problems with the game are the lack of multiplayer and originality but overall Torchlight is a good little game that’s very addictive and fun. [Dec 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

Doesn’t have an instant appeal to it, but after a while Borderlands can get seriously addictive. It’s really quite impressive when you realize, that you've put 40 hours into a single player fps game! Still, the game could offer a bit more depth with the character builds. One active skill per character is really not enough. The laggy co-op in Xbox Live is a sore disappointment. Captures the essence of WWE wrestling very well and the extensive editing options offer interesting possibilities. As a game, however, it's burdened by frustrating controls and the fact that most of the matches are too long and boring to be truly fun to play. [Dec 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

Machinarium is a successful mix of unique audiovisual atmosphere and traditional point-and-click adventuring. While the character control is a bit flimsy, beautiful hand drawn graphics and funny puzzles make it a true gem among indie games. [Feb 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

Brütal Legend is a game for the metalheads. The imagery and legends of heavy metal have been beautifully crafted into every part of the game world and story, but fun as it is, the game tries to be a bit too many things at once. The action and sandbox parts work well, but the RTS sections feel clunky and forced. Still, if you love metal, this game is worth your time. [Nov 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

Charming, clever and gorgeous, A Boy and His Blob is a great puzzle platformer. If only the Blob's AI was a little smarter and the boss battles a little less aggravating. [Dec 2009]- Pelit (Finland)
