It's same old, same old. There's nothing truly special about the new Revolution maps, but nothing truly wrong with them either. Having never really enjoyed Call of Duty Zombies, the new zombies content leaves me cold. By pitting three zombies against a single survivor, the new Turned mode makes a complete mockery of a true zombie apocalypse. [Apr 2013]

A competent take on MotoGP-series. The Rossi-themed new events are fun. Audiovisual aspects are a bit bland and the multiplayer is already pretty much dead at this point. [Sept 2016]

Looks and feels like "Scarface" the movie. Even though a more solid storyline would have been nice, the game plays great and offers enough things to do. [Oct 2006, p.54]

Top Spin 3 is much more realistic than the previous games of the series, mostly because of the new control mechanics. It takes more than just slapping the ball around to beat the versatile AI. However, to succeed one does not have to use the whole shot variety, which takes some depth out of the game. [Sept 2008]

One of the best licensed games of the year. The core gameplay relies on skill and every Autobot beats Decepticons in its own unique way. The six hour campaign is short, but with the maximum difficulty level you'll get your money's worth. [Nov 2015]

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days looks astonishing for a DS game, but is afflicted with a disease called reiteration. Players who know their Kingdom Hearts inside out will find nothing new here. The worlds, the Disney characters and even the music of 358/2 Days are recycled from its predecessors. The game has its high points, such as the combat system and the sentimental atmosphere, but ultimately falls to mediocrity. [Dec 2009]

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is a competent platform adventure, which uses time travel only as an excuse for wildly different levels. Yes, the levels are different, but not very original.

Same old GTA with an uninteresting plot and lame characters, but it is still pretty fun. The soundtrack is superb. [Apr 2007]

A cute little adventure with clever puzzles and little things that will entertain young players. It is a shame that the story falls flat before the end. [Aug 2006, p.45]

Hector is something very unique: a casual point'n click adventure for adults, especially if offensive and gross humour is your cup of tea. The game doesn't shine on puzzle design, but it compensates this with fair amount of well-written and well-acted dialogue. The story isn't too bad, either. [Sept 2011]

A very intensive manhunt with a variety of puzzles. It uses the same graphic engine as Syberia I and II, which is to say the game is simply beautiful. [Apr. 05]

Chains of Satinav is a perfect substitute for a storybook. Absolutely beautiful hand-drawn art is combined with a predictable story and some clumsy dialogue, but the overall melancholic feel of a imaginary kingdom on the brink of it's demise make up for these angularities. It's hard to get any closer of an fairytale. Some puzzles are genius, but there are loads of boring logistic tasks too. [Sept 2012]

Telltale's Iron From Ice is a strong opener for what is sure to be a game series worth following. The pressing decisions and stellar dialogue are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat, if you can ignore the lazy rehashing of character tropes and storylines from the source material. [Jan 2015]

Has a fun, over-the-top attitude and a great looking world to explore. Unfortunately, the missions repeat a pattern and get boring fast. Still, good entertainment in short doses. [Oct 2006]

Although there are lots of areas to explore, there is too little to do. You can just swim, feed the fishes, pat your dolphin and stare at the ocean. Though the soundtrack is nice and game has a nice atmosphere, I would call my feeling of the game “bored” rather than “relaxed”. [Jan 2008]

Combining an ARPG template with typing-based combat is a brilliant idea. Unfortunately, Epistory is a bit too easy and simplistic to really pull it off. I can only hope for a sequel with more challenge, enemy types, skills and the like. [Aug 2016]

As the Dead Nation moves from PS3 to PS4, only little has changed. The textures are a notch sharper and there's a new game mode, that demonstrates the streaming capabilities of the PS4, but other than that, the game is the same four year-olds old top-down zombie shooter. It's still a solid shooter, but nowadays the zombies are literally EVERYWHERE. [Apr 2014]

The second prototype is almost an exact match of the previous incarnation. Corny story and the dull mission design rip the edge off. The mayhem at Manhattan is still fun, but the game could be so much better. Hopefully the third version is ready for production. [May 2012]

The first Gabriel Knight is a legendary game, but unfortunately the remastered version doesn’t meet the sky-high standards of its paragon. Although the game is technologically flawed, the storyline and atmosphere are as good as they were 20 years ago. [Nov 2014]

Vampyre Story is hilarious and witty point'n click adventure game with striking graphics and high quality voice acting. If you're looking for hard puzzles, maybe this isn't the game. But if you're looking for a strong adventure with a good plot and good characters Vampyre Story is an excellent choice. It's probably the best adventure of 2008. [Jan 2009]

Army of Two is a very good team shoot 'em up. It's reasonably realistic and the enemies are quite intelligent. Many weak-looking objects provide perfect cover, which is a bit odd. Army of Two is quite short, too. [March 2008]
