Pirates of the Burning Sea is basically Sid Meier's Pirates! as a MMORPG. High points of the game are the ship battles and a detailed, working economy, but the swashbuckling episodes and rather mediocre graphics are a bit of a letdown. Still, it's a refreshing change to a stale sword-and-sorcery genre. [May 2008]- Pelit (Finland)

A nice-enough fantasy-RPG with decent semi-real time battles. The story is quite good, but certain technical aspects are somewhat outdated. [May 2006]- Pelit (Finland)

Beautiful and rather fun. Some missions are a bit too tough for their own good. [Oct 2005]- Pelit (Finland)

The classic shoot 'em up series has aged well. It is still fun to play and perfect for portable gaming. [Oct 2006]- Pelit (Finland)

After an über-boring trip to the present, Call of Juarez has finally realized what makes it special. Code word is a pulp thrill ride, but this is what Techland does best. It ain't a milestone in gaming history, but it is a nice shooter with a pretty good narrative. [Aug 2013]- Pelit (Finland)

An otherwise excellent successor to the Myst series that is somewhat marred by the frequency of long loading times and some less stellar puzzle design, like the annoying rotating maze. [Oct 2016]- Pelit (Finland)

Star Command could've been the most epic iSpace adventure, but unfortunately the game falls short. Real-time is the biggest downer, after an über-boring start, the game generates itself in to an super fast-paced. Style and ambition exceed the use of logic. [June 2013]- Pelit (Finland)

It’s got the freedom (partly) and it’s got realism (mostly) but it’s also badly designed with strict time limits, scarce checkpoints, bad AI, loads of bugs and a netcode that isn't worth a damn. It’s still rewarding though and it doesn’t have much competition on consoles. [Nov 2010]- Pelit (Finland)

The game is a thoroughly atmospheric side scrolling action adventure game. The action feels a touch too limited and a touch too clumsy and the adventuring is rather basic. The negatives are almost offset by a very engaging storyline. I'm looking forward to seeing how the story develops, but in order for this to become a cult classic the gameplay could use some additional development. [Sept 2014]- Pelit (Finland)

Contra Rebirth is a hard and short run & gun -shoot 'em up. It's pure neo-retro: It's done the way they used to be done and that's not necessarily a good thing. [Dec 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

A great game on another platform. Modern Warfare looses much of its graphical glory on Wii and the point & click shooting style works much better with mouse & keyboard or with Smith & Wesson than what it does with Wiimote & nunchuck. With these deficits the game drops down to a mediocre experience. [Dec 2009]- Pelit (Finland)

May be almost too fast and furious for an arcade racing game. Although not an essential addition to the Burnout saga, Burnout Dominator definitely has its moments. Online play is sorely missed. [Apr 2007]- Pelit (Finland)

Völgarr the Viking is challenging, which is nice, but there are too few checkpoints. Repetition is never, ever fun. [Feb 2014]- Pelit (Finland)

A streamlined version of Far Cry 4, Valley of the Yetis is a worthy addition to the franchise. [Apr 2015]- Pelit (Finland)

Too linear and short, but it has a nice atmosphere to it and many enjoyable missions. Poor graphics and moronic companions detract from the experience, though. [Jan. 05]- Pelit (Finland)

Although the game has some obvious issues, mainly the controls and the over-the-top difficulty level, the game sure has some character. Fast paced shooter/racer is a great way to get rid of stress. The network game is pure adrenaline packed fun. [Apr 2012]- Pelit (Finland)

Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros is an action-packed, varied and in places, amusing RPG with familiar Mario-faces. The story is pretty much nonsense, though. [Feb 2016]- Pelit (Finland)

A refreshingly old-fashioned shooter that is sure to entertain you for a while with its lightning-fast action and pretty visuals. Regrettably the simplicity of the game also makes it a fairly shallow experience that will not hold your interest for a long time. [Feb 2008]- Pelit (Finland)

Spec Ops: The Line tries new and interesting ground on storytelling, but falls short on the action department. Still, it's worth playing through for the atmosphere and few different endings alone. [Aug 2012]- Pelit (Finland)

A minimalistic tale of the world ending is executed beautifully in The Final Station. It's an atmospheric, yet demanding action-adventure, a little big game in the true meaning of the definition. [Oct 2016]- Pelit (Finland)

EA Sports makes its second appearance in the UFC’s famed Octagon. The fighter’s sophomore effort is solid: it has good technique, impresses visually and feels like the real thing, although its ground game could be better. UFC 2 is a contender in the making. [May 2016]- Pelit (Finland)

Fallout 3: The Pitt has better pacing, more freedom and more interesting locations than Operation: Anchorage. Still, it's just more content to the extremely content-rich Fallout 3 and still forces the player to track back from the main ending to play, which undermines the meaningfullness of it all.
