A nice three player co-op action game. It's not an adventure, since the levels are small and sequential. The puzzles are a bit too repetitive, though. [Nov 2015]

Ceville is a traditional point 'n click adventure with an evil twist – Ceville himself. Its strongest point are the main characters, especially the evil little tyrant Ceville, reminiscent of the great Iznogould. The puzzles are well-made, as is the voice acting. Graphics, use of colour and the music all add to the nice faery-tale-like feeling. On the con side there are still some bugs to be fixed and sometimes the dialogue isn't witty at all, even though it tries hard to be. Overall Ceville is an enjoyable game and adventure gamers shouldn't miss it. [May 2009]

A good RPG with a brilliant story and a great cast of characters. However, the battle system is too slow-paced and not very flexible. [Nov 2005]

A decent horror FPS that is let down by its poor control scheme. The PC version looks a bit dated, but sound is used well throughout. [Nov 2005]

Lords of the Fallen may be a simplified, easier version of Souls games, but is it necessarily a bad thing? Being an overpowered iron mountain at the end game, well, it is actually quite satisfying for a change. [Dec 2014]

Another solid add-on for one of the best MMORPG's currently on the market. This time the content is clearly aimed at organisations, but newbies and lone wolves are not totally forgotten either. [Feb. 05]

The Angel of Death manages to keep the adventure genre alive. Budget and/or time constraints show: the game is quite rough around the edges. It is also too linear although the puzzles are good and varied. Why cannot the dialogue be fast-forwarded? [Dec 2006, p.82]

A creepy and atmospheric horror adventure. The advanced physics engine makes the experience truly immersive. On the minus side, combat is a bit cumbersome and the plot could use some polishing. Still, very promising. [Aug 2007]

The third Lego Batman game is a copy-paste from other Lego games made by Traveller's Tales. At this point it's getting pretty frustrating to see the exactly same game with new characters and some minor tweaks. This isn't a bad game, I've just seen this same stuff so many times before. A quite good tennis game. The MotionPlus-support makes all the difference. Without it the game feels clumsy ja awkward. What's with the constant and annoying MotionPlus-activation, though? [July 2009]

A classical city-building game where you help a group of settlers to build a new home for themselves. That's Banished in a nutshell. In a surprising twist, the game doesn't feature any combat at all, but I personally didn't even miss it because after all it's a peaceful game where the main focus is planning your town's future and not fighting against evil aliens. Even though Banished was made by just one man, it feels really polished. In particular, the interface is really well done. Of course, no game is perfect and Banished has some issues. The biggest of them all is that there are no objectives or end goals so you can never really win or lose. [March 2014]

Hard Reset is an old-school shooter that really takes its name seriously: you should be prepared to die a lot. High difficulty level keeps things interesting even though the overtly cartoonish robot enemies don't really fit the overall gritty art style. [Oct 2011]

While the storyline is a bit lackluster, The Room still manages to be a polished and intriguing experience. The puzzles are mostly fun to solve and the enhancements for PC version ensure that the game looks, sounds and plays great. [Sept 2014]

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed takes the use of the force to a new level. Sometimes all the overpowering abilities can make the game feel a bit too easy, but luckily the balance is usually well preserved. It would've been fun to see a bit more lightsaber action, but Force Unleashed is still entertainingly fast and furious ride where you finally get to do something real with force. Throwing stormtroopers to chasms with force grip just never gets old. [Sept 2008]
