An enjoyable co-op game with a fun but simplistic combat system. Bugs, matchmaking issues and technical problems keep it from becoming an instant classic. Yet! [Nov 2015]

An experimental adventure that succeeds at being a genuinely touching gaming experience, even though it doesn't quite live up to all of its potential. The island you explore is absolutely beautiful and the story is interesting, if not exceedingly original. [March 2012]

A very good tennis game with fight night-esque racquet controls. It needs a one more difficulty level between amateur and pro, though. [March 2012]

Battleborn tries to wear too many hats at once. The shooter is filled with promise, but both the pvp and pve components need more content. And quickly. [June/July 2016]

Tomb Raider is a solid action adventure that offers a thrilling ride, but adds very little new to the genre and sadly falls short of the idea of open-ended survival adventure it was first marketed as. [March 2013]

A good action-RPG with some story-related hiccups. The first 15 hours or so are dull and that's a quite serious problem in a story-driven game. [July 2009]

Space Hulk is a pretty good adaptation of a great board game. I really liked the game mechanics, so I also enjoyed the single player campaign, even though it was quite short. [Sept 2013]

Divekick's minimalist approach works well. While the game is very easy to pick up, it still has enough depth to keep also fighting game connoisseurs entertained for a good while. Even the cheap jokes are funny. [Dec 2013]

Botanicula looks and sounds amazing, just looking at it makes you happy! That said, it could have benefited from better puzzle design and the story delves a bit too deep into absurd and vague territory. Thankfully, the good outweighs the bad and Botanicula ends up being an enjoyable adventure. [May 2012]

A short, but entertaining stand-alone halloweenesque action-adventure for the electric superhero Cole. Kill the vampire queen before dawn. It's a bit too easy for inFamous-veterans, though. [Dec 2011]

Forza Motorsport 5 is not a bad racing game per se, but it feels kinda downgraded from the expansive Forza games of Xbox 360. The graphics are fancy, but that doesn't quite compensate the (relative) lack of cars and tracks. [Feb 2014]

Fixes some of the first Risen game's issues, the graphics look great and the pirate theme is refreshing, but combat is still pretty awkward and the quests include a lot of running back and forth. Still, it's not a bad game by any measure and for fans of Gothic and Risen it's a treat. [May 2012]

A decent expansion to a good series. Innovative setting or exciting plot has not been Nival’s strong side previously, and Tribes of the East is not an exception. It however is more enjoyable gaming for the warlord who hasn’t yet got his fill of the original game, with familiar mechanics and a few new additions to make it feel fresh enough. Some scenarios feel a bit too restrictive at times, a trait familiar from the earlier games too, but not so much as to take much fun out of the game. Addition of campaign editor is good news, but how the community makes use of it remains to be seen. [Jan 2008]

Gets old pretty quickly as solo play experience, but luckily the online modes are entertaining for quite a while. The bikes are fun to drive against human opponents and drifting with the cars is still fun. The core game hasn’t lost its basic charm but there is very little properly new. The single player game has a “been there done that” feeling written all over it. Multiplayer matches are still fun. [Nov 2007]

Michonne's miniseries focuses heavily on the main character and fast narrative leaving some of the story elements too open and hazy. The dialog is top notch and the story is compelling, hopefully next time the carrot hanging on the cliffhanger is little sweeter. [Apr 2016]
