The game lacks proper storytelling and has a clunky user-interface. Still, it’s very faithful to the original Space Hulk board game which is always a plus. [Dec 2014]

Tight, fast paced action and great atmosphere make Wings of Prey one of the best attempts at creating an easily accessible light simulator, but it could use more settings in the difficulty options, better damage modeling, more missions and maybe even dynamic campaigns. The AI and flight modeling are already quite good for a non-hardcore simulator. [Feb 2010]

Games like I am Setsuna are created very rarely these days. It’s not perfect, but it is a promising first game from Tokyo RPG Factory. [Sept 2016]

Good real history setting, but feels too much like a mod. Game would needs stronger and more visible plot element to differ itself from basic M&M formula. [June 2011]

A fine fighter, but the Tekken characters feel like Street Fighter characters. Multiplayer is also laggy. [Apr 2012]

Lords of the Fallen may be a simplified, easier version of Souls games, but is it necessarily a bad thing? Being an overpowered iron mountain at the end game, well, it is actually quite satisfying for a change. [Dec 2014]

A very good cave shoot 'em up in the vein of PixelJunk: Shooter. The dark and simple graphical style is quite striking, if not original - Patapon, anyone? [Sept 2011]

NHL 12 is without a doubt better than last year´s edition. New physics engine reflects that size does matter in hockey and AI´s offensive movement is actually pretty solid. However, there are not any significant innovations that would really change the way the game is played. [Sept 2011]

By no means perfect, but it still manages to captivate with it's marvellous interpretation of the 12th century Holy Land. It's really a pity that there's so little to do in such a beautiful world. [May 2008]

One of the best show wrestling games around. The new control system is very nice, but you still can not break throws started by other players. A proper arcade-like blocking system would not hurt, either. [Dec 2006]

A creepy and atmospheric horror adventure. The advanced physics engine makes the experience truly immersive. On the minus side, combat is a bit cumbersome and the plot could use some polishing. Still, very promising. [Aug 2007]

Realism and playability are nicely balanced in this naval warfare simulation featuring dozens of playable U-boats and surface combatants. Do not let its storyline based on alternative history scare you away. [Feb. 05]

Dead State is not much to look at, but as a zombie-themed post-apocalyptic role-playing game it’s definitely a winner. Interestingly enough, the zombies turn out to be the least of the survivors’ problems. [Jan 2015]

A really hard game to grasp. It can't decide what it wants to be. Is it a hardcore RPG, a light-hearted action adventure or a serious and bloody action game? That said, once you come to terms with the overtly cute graphics and strange Nintendo-like dialogue scenes the action is fun and there is a lot to do. In the end it's a fun game, but be prepared to spend some time getting used to it. [Feb 2012]

Say explosions. Say big guns. Say over the top kick-ass action. Say Renegade Ops. The top-down vehicle-based shooter puts a smile on your face if you grew up watching the action films from the 1980s. Havoc, destruction and mayhem – renegade operations have never been this entertaining before. [Feb 2012]

A decent enough action-adventure in the vein of GTA and Crackdown. Spider-Man's web-slinging abilities are depicted very well. Go for the Xbox 360 version, the rest are not worth your time. [June 2007]

The operation was a success, but the patient died! Actually, not really. While making the game simpler cut's the depth of the single player mode considerably, ut at the same time makes multiplayer games more fluent and entertaining. [Aug 2008]

I really enjoyed Frogwares' first 3D Holmes adventure Awakened, so my expectations were high. Lupin vs. Holmes is actually a better game than Awakened was. Puzzles are challenging and more logical and the third dimension is now better present in the problem solving. The story is a little predictable, but so what? The playground is rich in 19th century atmosphere and the voice acting is fine. On the minus side, the game includes too much pixel-hunting. [Mar 2008]

A refreshingly different game in the Sims 2 series. There’s something addictive in collecting banana leaves, vines and such and building a whole lot of improvised tools and buildings out of them. I think the game hits it’s mark quite well. I’d say Castaway is the best Sims game for ages, if not for the clumsy, Wiimote controlled interface. Unfortunately, it just takes some enjoyment out of the game. Well, you can’t get everything. [Jan 2008]

Battlefield Hardline offers a fun single-player experience. Arresting suspects could have used some extra polish, as it's way too easy to manipulate the AI to surrender. The multiplayer mode is quite fun as well, but it suffers from lack of content and for the fact that it plays out like a stripped down version of Battlefield 4. The game's heritage aside, Battlefield Hardline is by no means a poor effort. [May 2015]

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier looks amazingly bad at times, but the new tactical approach to combat is fun. Some timed events can get really annoying and the rail shooter sequences don't work that well. Co-op campaign is a good addition, even though the lack of matchmaking is a downer. [June 2012]
