SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy Seals looks and feels polished. The decent save system and the vehicles are major improvements. The AI is still questionable. Multiplayer review in the next issue. [May 2006]

Offers the same outstanding stealth action than its predecessors, but fails miserably on the story department. Also, the much-advertised choice between good and bad does not really affect anything at all. Could we please get the next one with a decent, engaging story? [Dec 2006, p.82]

Guitar Hero with Metallica i.e. same old but for the fans. Neversoft isn’t the top dog when it comes to notation but the good thing is that Metallica’s songs nevertheless translate well into game form. [June 2009]

Yet another well done Remedy shooter, but I rather play the game than watch looong videos, even though they are pretty well done. [Oct 2016]

Worms W.M.D is, well, Worms at it's best: a fun, turn-based tactical combat game for up to six players. The new additions, like vehicles and building interiors, work. Crafting is meaningless, though. [Oct 2016]

A solid homage to Contra and other 2D shooters of the NES/SNES era. A sense humour and frequent allusions to other games make this one a unique experience. [Feb 2010]

A story-driven action game with an extremely dark atmosphere. The storyline is interesting, cutscenes are well made and the city is full of temptations. However, the battles are a bit too repetitive and the camera behaves strangely at times. [Sept 2006]

A quite good tennis game. The MotionPlus-support makes all the difference. Without it the game feels clumsy ja awkward. What's with the constant and annoying MotionPlus-activation, though? [July 2009]

Call of Duty 2 has near-perfect visuals and great gameplay, but suffers from a serious case of same old, same old. Where is the innovation? [Nov 2005]

Battlefield 4's third DLC is far from perfect, but at least it manages to offer four highly enjoyable maps. The new game mode Carrier Assault looks great on paper, but fails to deliver a dynamic Battlefield experience. Naval Strike's lack of new surface combatants is really puzzling. Are small patrol boats really the best Battlefield 4 can do? [May 2014]

An otherwise excellent successor to the Myst series that is somewhat marred by the frequency of long loading times and some less stellar puzzle design, like the annoying rotating maze. [Oct 2016]

A spin off for the action-packed sci-fi shooter Shadowgrounds. Like its predecessor Survivor is intensive and fast-paced action from square one until the end. Frozenbyte has added a little bit of RPG elements into the game, which is a nice touch. The game is pretty short and a little bit too easy, but it’s not sold at full price and the modding tools are good, so it’s well worth the money. [Jan 2008]

FIFA looks great getting off the bus and The Journey is an intriguing addition, but the AI and ball handling could be better. Ultimately Team is still great, though. [Nov 2016]

World of Warships follows in the footsteps of the massively successful World of Tanks in converting a slow-paced and complicated form of combat into an easy to approach and entertaining format. Huge ships and the oceanic environments they dwell in simply don't offer quite as much tactical maneuvering possibilities as you get driving tanks and the game doesn't manage the important balancing between skill and randomness quite as well as the Tank Game does, but the special appeal of oceanic titans firing massive broadsides at each other more than makes up for it and the game is certainly off to a promising start. What, no French revolution? For Europeans, birth of the United States is not really very interesting time nor environment. And after Ezio (or Haytham Kenway), Connor is bland, irritating protagonist. Game is also full of chores that add very little to the experience. [Jan 2013]

A flashy mix of Lockdown and Advanced Warfighter in a great looking setting. The shootouts feel real and commanding the team works well, but the levels are very linear and sometimes the amount of enemies seems a bit overkill. More variety would have been nice, too. Vegas has other things besides casinos, you know. [Dec 2006]

Quirky puzzles, nice storyline and out of the ordinary main character make this Agatha Christie tribute stand out from the vast masses of adventure games. If you're searching for mature content, this is your choice. [Aug 2013]

An interesting attempt to re-invent RTS genre. It does many things right, like reward system, and is generally fun to play. As a game it feels like a prequel to Dawn of War -series: Bit too simplistic combat without any real threat of defeat and too many generic missions with, my God, end bosses! Those are yesterdays news even on Japan. Hopefully 0-day patch reakly makes things better and more varied. [Feb 2009]

Brink is destined to be a cult classic (on PC), for us fans of Quake Wars. Has no single player value but high entry difficulty due to tight team focus and sprawling maps. Good, but not nearly as damn good as Quake Wars. I like Brink but it is no wonder that most gamers don't. [June 2011]
