I was pleased to find that my six-year-old daughter had as much fun as I did playing the game. Although she became a bit frustrated at points (as I did) she still was able to manage to manipulate the pikmin the way she intended.

It seems like every EA Big sequel nowadays is just the previous version of the game with more ads, different licensed music/MCs, and a new "skin" slapped onto the game. This is getting really, really, really OLD.

Let us get this straight; multiplayer will never excuse a short single player experience, no matter how exciting those short hours are. It is especially insulting when the game is just so well balanced, so well designed and so fun to play.

As much as I loved the game, it still lacked that special "something" to make it a "10". It seemed many times (especially later in the game) that gameplay relied too heavy on two things: blocking and dunking.

There is nothing here that sets it apart from the crowd in terms of gameplay, but the visual and physics aspect of the game are bar none the best available today. Far Cry is worth a look, but be warned; you are going to need a beast of a computer to run this as it was intended to be run.

Graphically, this game is amazing.

Easily the best online game to date. Sporting 40 weapons and 35 vehicles on servers that reach up to 64 players of pure chaos, there is no lack of excitement. Excellent controls, decent visuals and sounds add to the mix.

The graphics in Einhander are stunning. Before this I'd never seen 3D move so swiftly...Great graphics, high difficulty, lots of secrets, breathtaking CG, variety, and a killer soundtrack. There is honestly nothing more than I want out of a shooter than Einhander gives.

Could have been a classic in the world of gaming if it had better AI and been quite a bit longer. Unfortunately, like most movie games, parts of it fell short. Overall, the game still presented an entertaining, story driven shooter that is well worth a rental.

There is no damage in Gran Turismo 4. This to me was a colossal disappointment. It’s not like I was expecting it, but this is supposed to be the real driving simulator... not the real bumper-car driving simulator... There are absolutely ZERO consequences for slamming into another car around a corner or brushing a barrier.

An incredibly fun and addictive turn-based strategy game that even with its minimal improvements definitely overshadows what the original contained.

While Lumines is far, FAR from a killer app, it's a must have game for the PSP. It has a simple design that hooks you for hours at a time without you even realizing what happened. That, my friends, is the hallmark of a classic puzzle game.

Tools of Destruction gives Sony something it desperately needs, a solid reason to actually own a PS3.

New Super Mario Bros might not be QUITE as good as some review sites might lead you to believe, but there is no denying that this is a damn fine game: the game play is there, that familiar Nintendo charm is dominant throughout the entire game, the sounds are good, and it's definitely got personality. The good far outweighs the bad.

I can't remember having played a game this unique, with this much character and originality, in a long, long time. That it's a heck of a lot of fun is an excellent added bonus.

Top Spin may be a good tennis game, but it really doesn’t improve upon the legend of "Virtua Tennis" enough to really make me want to recommend it wholeheartedly.

Boring landscapes, crummy models, and weak animation. On top of that, it chugs. It's the worst of both worlds, baby!

An enjoyable romp while it lasts, I just wish driving wasn't such a big part of it all.

The graphics are gritty and realistic, the sounds will make you nervous as hell, and the immense feeling of accomplishment that comes with successfully executing a good strategic assault both in the single-player campaigns as well as multiplayer is overwhelming.

The controls may be a little iffy at first, the frame rate drops ever so-often; but the war sounds and game play more than make up for every fault the game has.

If you're into 3D fighting, Tekken 5 is the the one game in the genre that you should consider a must buy.

A top quality shooter. It is visually impressive, has some of the best AI this side of the Rio Grande, and does a damned good job on weapon management. Still, the steep system requirements will put a hamper on the regular public’s enjoyment and hold off all but the most advanced PCs.

Just a hair's breadth from perfection. The only real flaw comes in the form of the difficult to locate figments littering the levels. Everything else was incredible. The gameplay was smooth and responsive, the audio presentation was beyond impressive, and the visuals display a rare artistic value not seen in many games these days.

Meteos stands head and shoulders above very nearly everything available for the DS right now. Only Internet play could have made this game better, and to be honest, I fully expect a Wifi-enabled sequel at some point.

I explored many of the game's options and spent a lot of time leveling up, so I spent almost 70 hours playing this game. However, it was the intriguing story, with its quest for the relic sought by the fallen angel who only wants God's favor, that propelled me through the game to its every end.

The controls are truly perfect for a boxing game; the mental aspects of boxing are well represented, and the character models look very good.

Overall, The World Ends With You is a shining example of what could be done on the DS.

No replay value or anything, seeing as how the game is getting kinda repetitive by the time you finish, but I didn't have any urge to go and search for all the Gold Bolts.

It's so good, it makes me want to go out and tailgate in the stadium parking lot of a Big Ten school.

The game is lightning fast, smoother than silk and chugs along like a Maserati at 60 frames per second. Yipes, was all I could say the first hour of play.

For some reason, they just don't make games like this anymore, nor do these truly fantastic games get sequels. Maybe now that Monolith is back in the hands of some of the original owners, a "Shogo 2" that builds upon this game's brilliance and gives an FPS to this generation of gamers that actually has some wit and humor to it.

My favorite aspect of the GTA franchise has always been the ability to experience and explore an entirely new world and that is one thing LCS is sorely lacking.

Sly 2 is a fun game, but players will have to look through several layers of unnecessary makeup to find that fun.

Superficially, this game looks incredible, but digging deeper will spell out otherwise. Doom 3 is by no means a bad game, but I'd be lying if I didn't say it was lacking.

DO NOT buy this game if you are looking to play just that multi-player/battle mode because you will be $40 poorer and you will probably be throwing your GBA against the wall. But, if you like Pokemon and Bomberman, then by all means, pick this game up.

Imagine taking the freedom and tricks from "THPS" and combine the adrenaline-pumping fun of a "Jet Set Radio." ... Truly a breath of fresh air for the gaming community.

The game has sped up considerably, allowing for a much more exciting flow to the game. The goalies have been made more realistic, as opposed to the brick walls standing in front of the goals in last year's game.

Nothing more than a fair game. It's not quite as innovative as Advance Wars, but it still manages to offer a fun, nice-looking strategy gaming experience despite the frustration factor.

I have a soft spot for games that actually bring something new to the table in an otherwise overpopulated market of rehashed ideas and half-assed sequels. It's refreshing to see, and even more enjoyable to play.

Thrones and Patriots manages to double the immense amount of replay in the original Rise of Nations with the addition of six new civilizations and four new campaigns.

In addition to the missions being dumbed down, the whole upgrade system that was on the PC is gone, and that's a severe disappointment.

The characters, levels, and game modes are entertaining enough, and it's got just the right sense of humor. I really can't recommend it for solo players, as most of it's solo modes are aimed towards unlocking multiplayer content.

I was hopelessly addicted from the first race. Unless you hate racing games or the Ridge Racer series, I'd highly recommend this one.

The level design makes it impossible to create any interesting variety in gameplay... The AI in Doom 3 creates a whole new level of stupid.

I had fun playing this and will be playing it for a while, but this game has nowhere near the amount of mass appeal that "Project Gotham Racing 2" has.

It can be improved upon, by making the story less ambiguous and more involving without making it feel like an afterthought. The gameplay aspect could definitely be less tedious and provide more side quests or alternative options.

An instant classic.

There's easily over 100 hours of gaming here if you choose. A well designed piece of software and one of the best I've played in a long time.

Speaking of seeing, there are plenty of nice visuals in Hitman 2. The intro looks very nice on my GeForce 3, the fields, the tomatoes, all the cutscenes, when they aren't completely dark, look fabulous.

With over 20 hours of core gameplay within, and every minute of it more fun than the last, I can't help but enthusiastically recommend Jak II.

It's good...but not great. As far as strategy RPG games, this pales in comparison to both "Disgaea" and "Final Fantasy Tactics."

If this is the way EA is going to approach the development of their sports games, then perhaps the next college football game they release should be "NCAA Football 08." At least it would save me $50.

The idea behind Elite Beat Agents is one of the best I've seen. The story is told with near-perfect timing, and the engine itself is solid. However, the song choice is incredibly spotty, and the multiplayer modes are a disappointment.

The only negative thing that I can say about this game is that it is extremely addictive; players can expect to find themselves completely engrossed, blissfully unaware of how much time has passed since they picked up the controller.

The unlockables really make this a sound purchase.

This is the BEST version of Metal Gear Solid 2 you can buy, so if you didn't play through the game yet, well, go get this one.

A blast no matter how long you want to play it. Whether it is for 15-minutes or five hours, it will satisfy your racing bug. The controller works seemingly flawless with the game, and shouldn't be difficult for even beginners to pick up and play.

While trumped by Treasure's Ikaruga in popularity, Bangai-O remains one of the most innovative and genre-defiant experiences on the Dreamcast. It is a near-impeccable amalgam of concepts favored by some of gaming history's landmark titles, refined and reintroduced to the tune of a suitably bizarre story.

The combination of great control, unique gameplay, killer graphics and a soundtrack to die for.

At times, the play control can be a bit wonky, but overall Zack & Wiki is a solid addition to the point and click adventure genre.

Fans of the MechWarrior universe might have the hardest time adjusting to MechAssault’s gameplay. It’s hard to give up complexity of control and the long-standing weapon roles just to allow newer players into the fold.

Addiction... The answer to the PC's hit simulation "The Sims," however you've got kooky little animals instead of real life looking people, and it's also a whole lot more fun.

When comparing Tricky side-by-side with the GC and PS2, the PS2 wins hands down. It if obvious that this is a port from the PS2 to the GC and not the other way around.

Don't let Dark Cloud 2's mediocre predecessor deter you from experiencing this masterpiece which is about as close to a genuine work of art you can get from a video game... Easily one of the most addictive, most fun games available for the PlayStation 2.

Kingdom Hearts 2 will be looked upon as one of the "must play" games on the Playstation 2, and while not perfect, original, or surprising, it IS very well put together, very polished, and it is very fun to play. [JPN Import]

What may amaze people the most is the sound quality in the game. The game's designers were of the opinion that video games don't have enough hard rock and metal in them, and I'll be, they were right. I suppose it's of no surprise that such edgy material works well with a fighting game, but the quality of the choices just enhances the game. You want to press the attack partly because the music is practically egging you on.

Racing is pretty intense, and once making your way to the later tracks, the computer controlled racers get pretty damn start, and so you’ll either have to start re-thinking your racing plan, or go back and redo your bike's attributes.

This certainly is a different kind of game, interesting even. But, a blast to play? A must have? These are things that Kirby: Canvas Curse sadly is not.

For the people who really enjoy the breakdown of the pitcher-batter match up, this is the only game I've seen so far since the "High Heat" franchise that has really captures this realism.

Bringing to the table solid gameplay elements, great visuals, and even better sound makes this game the culmination of the World War 2 FPS experience.

The one shining ray of hope in this game is the hopefully more game companies will seek to utilize more Asian heroines with British accents. Come on, LucasArts...it's the least you can do after this stinker.

The slight flaws of the second are easily drowned out by the overall brilliance of the game play and intriguing storyline. While overall GS2 didn’t match the overall excitement I had for the original it did satisfy my RPG tooth until "FF Tactics Advance" comes out.

The solid gameplay foundation and attention to realism really makes this game a true hidden gem in the 2004 crop of sports games.

#Reload doesn't bring anything new to the table from the other GGX2 releases. It is simply a slightly more detailed version of a fighter that's starting to show some of its age.

Great characters, a vibrant galaxy to explore, and a seemingly-unstoppable menace make for an ambitious and cinematic play experience marred only by lacklustre graphics and infuriating lockups.

Takes so many facets of game play, and does them all so well, that this game is one of the must-own games of the year. I’d be satisfied with half a game this good.

Partners in Time has its flaws and can get repetitive at times, but it certainly keeps you coming back for more, thanks to engaging gameplay and the unmistakable Mario charm.

And while I'm tempted to tell you that Link is unlockable deep within the game, he isn't. I know, you're sad, I'm sad, we're all sad. Complete in just about every aspect. Apart from the irritating escort missions and the short first run through, Max Payne 2 is perfect.

An amazing gaming experience. It has something for everyone: fishing, bug hunting, philanthropy (i.e. donating fossils to the museum), epistolatory madness, costume design, music composition, empire building and much more.

"Katamari Damacy" is still on my short list of favorite games of all time. It's an incredible game, and I'm not giving up my copy for anyone. But We Love Katamari has managed to beat it, hands down, in almost every single way.

Enough fun to want to play through multiple times, and would be perfect if only there was more of it.

Fight Night is a far bigger improvement on Round 2 than Round 2 was on the original. I'd have bought it for the changes in punching and style options alone, much less the vastly improved graphics, sound, and other fringe benefits.

Graphically, Amplitude is as trippy as some of the songs it features.

It's not an epic adventure, it's not a classic Zelda game, but it is a fast-paced, fun multiplayer experience that manages to be visceral, exciting, and thoughtful all at the same time.

It will be remembered as proof that Nintendo could have solid role-playing games on its systems again. And, perhaps, it will be proof that a game can even transcend prejudices people bring about its voice actors.

The game is drop dead gorgeous...As far as the gameplay is concerned, the overall physics are still the best in the industry.
