SDvR2010 improves on its previous edition in a number of ways especially with the new Story Designer mode yet still managing to not reach its full potential. If you have 2009, unless you really need an updated roaster I see little incentive to update.

A decent game, but not as good as what you'd expect under the Metroid name.

The game might have a number of faults but the enjoyment of the battling makes up for it, add to that the WiFi duelling and you’ll be glued to your DS for a long time.

It simple nature makes it perfect for a quick play every now and then.

Our advice: use a GameCube controller, learn the shortcuts, and hope the next one sorts out that boost system.

A fun RPG while it lasts, but can wear thin over time. Great visuals and level design help overcome some missed potential.

The story mode is great even if the character choice is limited. And while the gameplay is very arcade like it's still enjoyable by either upping the difficulty or playing with mates. Online is fun too unless your unlucky enough to get bad lag.

Wii Fit pushes the envelope due to the board peripheral and the notion of healthy gaming, but lacks fat in areas such as longevity – a staple diet of all software, videogame or not.

While this revival is a dream come true as opposed to a nightmare, some newer elements are somewhere in-between.

The Conduit is like a dwarf glamour model - irresistible despite its shortness.

If you're looking for a light-gun game that's quite simply fun to play and requires no practice then I'd highly recommend this as it's an excellent experience that's well worth owning.

Rygar is an admirable revamp of a once classic NES game, it is still a port of a six year old title though and it shows; however it's still worthy of attention if you missed it the first time around and are looking for a reasonably competent adventure game.

GameOn's first DSiWare title is an admirably comprehensive card package that does the job, but will find difficulty selling to more casual cards player.

Super Princess Peach is a platform game taken straight off a Nintendo blueprint; it has the charm and simplicity reminiscent of the “good old days” and yet remains fresh thanks to solid, original gameplay.

It is a short game, clocking up around 10 hours, but that does not detract from the enjoyment, which at times is sad to say, repetitive.

PES 2011 offers slick gameplay and striking 3D yet is let down by having no online mode and some sloppy, minor omissions. Still, for football fans, PES 3D offers a lot of mileage until the expected 2012 edition.

TMNT: Smash Up does so much right in the ring that it’s a shame that it is sucker punched by a shallow character roster, lack of battle arenas and poor presentation.

Despite the lack of ambition, with a great fighting system that never gets boring, Naruto provides fast and furious fights, making it one of the best fighters available for the Wii, even if you’re not a Naruto fan.

Yet another brilliantly ironic Mario Sports title which once again proves that everyones favorite portly plumber can indeed kick it with style.

A summer game through and through; entertaining and enjoyable but it's longevity and difficulty could be improved.

While nowhere near perfect Rayman 3D is the best portable version of the game to date that's worth picking up if you've never played Rayman 2 before.

The most realistic tennis game on Wii, the title's depth will be challenging to some but a joy for others.

A fun mix of sports in an enjoyable package. Great for multiplayer sessions but could get boring by yourself.

Lacks the appeal of picking up and playing all the way through and sticks too close to the safety of the established third person shooter concept that has been in place for way too long now.

If you aren’t into logic puzzles and memory tests, and you’re a man of action rather than one of thought, this game is definitely not for you. But playing this – for however long you do end up playing it – is a pleasure, albeit a guilty one.

Despite its graphical shortcomings, camera trouble and repetitiveness, the lightsaber and Force controls were pretty much nailed, making SW:TFU a good action game and an experience that many gamers have been asking for since the unveiling of the Wii.

While the game in some ways attempts to return to series roots, it changes yet again to accommodate an unwieldy new set of controls. The flawed result is not perfect, but playable.

If you want to make Contact in strange new ways then this passionate game could be for you. Just don’t be hoping for something amazing to take you away from all your bases.

RPG fans - pry your eyes away from Xenoblade; Solatorobo may be the biggest surprise of the summer.

Fun and enjoyable and a good game to pick up and play if you like puzzles. Plenty to keep you busy and challenged.

In its series, The Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones fits in perfectly. It's up for you to decide if that's a good or a bad thing.

If you feel like kicking back with a literary classic, and a wide selection to choose from then pick this up pronto. If you chose to buy all these books separately, it would cost much more than the bargain price this game is going for in comparison.

An obscure yet engrossing multiplayer game that makes a nice change from Mario Party and Monopoly. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but for the strategic Mario fan, this makes for quite a fun evening.

A solid game, if a bit too average for today’s standards.

Launch of the Screaming Narwhal is a good adventure game that mostly lives up to the series: the jokes are there and so is the series' feeling. But - considering the bad framerate and badly compressed audio the 1000 Wii Points this title costs may better be spent on the superior PC version.

A decent low budget ported package and another enjoyable light gun game for the Wii; which hopefully paves the way for the series to make another return sometime in the future.

Battalion Wars has his problems. Map overview; save options; irritating voices; no multiplayer mode. However this game also has a lot of potential.

Ridge Racer 3D borrows from the best entries in the series and adds some decent visual depth, a perfectly reasonable racing game... while it lasts.

Varied missions and solid, intuitive controls ensure anyone can play.

If you like puzzle games, you might want to check LiT out, and if darkness and monsters are up your alley all the more reason to get it. Just prepare for a few rage fits.

Mario may be monopolising the classic platformer this season, but A Boy and His Blob definitely fills a gap on Wii with its brain-bending challenges. A gorgeous visual look to boot makes it well worthy of gem-status on the market.

A surprisingly good celebration of all things Sega. If you liked Mario Tennis, you'll like this too. Entertaining stuff.

Worth buying for fans of the Spider-Man series, but lacking anything really original to make it a stand out to the average gamer.

Web of Shadows goes its own way and, plays better for it. But while Treyarch seem confident of their story telling, their overall lack of technical mastery and ability to create an enjoyable combat mechanic kills any enjoyment past the first few hours.

A very slow SRPG that feels more like an interactive novel. Its characters and story might make it worthwhile for fans, but if Bleach is not your thing, steer clear of it.

A game that could easily be made better with a decent story and a better fighting system to seperate the good players from bad.

Prope did amazingly well with Let's Tap but don't be fooled by Let's Catch as it is nowhere near as fun and is unreasonably priced in comparison; here is hoping that the companies next Wii-ware venture proves to be more successful.

While we were worried Planet Moon Studios couldn’t live up to the usual quality of 5th Cell, the team has put out a decent Wii platformer that anyone can admire, despite the targeted, younger demographic.

3D Mahjong does what it was made for perfectly well, even if its appeal will be lost on anyone not into the pastime.

What it could have been is great, what it actually is, is pretty average.
