Battleship for Wii is a poorly executed turn-based strategy game, that uses traditional controls instead of what the Nintendo console is capable.

Apex Legends for Nintendo Switch is a bad port, flawed with mediocre graphics and many performance issues that impact gameplay.

Ravenbound, to emerge from the classic roguelikes, challenges the competition by adding an open world map and permanent death to the formula. Unfortunately, despite the idea being original, the technical problems that afflict it and the dated combat system don't make the game shine, leaving us at the mercy of repetitive and uninteresting activities.

A game that cannot satisfy City Builders lovers, nor RTS seekers. However it could please the youngest and those who would like to try the genre with something extremely light and undemanding.

SpellForce 2: Demons of the Past has nothing new to offer. It is the same, old game with a single player campaign that is difficult to understand by anyone who hasn't played SpallForce 2: Shadow Wars.

Watchmen: The End is Nigh is not a completely broken game, nor a good game, it's just like an old brawler game like the ones we used to play at the arcade, but it's a little bit short and tedious. However there is no question that breaking bones and killing scum as Rorsharch could be funny and enjoyable side by side with Night Howl II.

RIDE fills an important gap in the world of videogames, with passion and courage. Despite some flaws, such as long load times and an unstable frame rate, the new IP of Milestone is fun and long-lived.

Sonic and the Black Knight is visually striking but once started waggling the Wiimote it becomes clear how poor the gameplay is. It is just sad to realize every new 3D Sonic game happens to fail: apparently Sonic Team is trying to renew the franchise but perhaps the true Sonic is the old, linear and 2D platform we still love.

Duke Nukem Forever delivers some intense FPS action and a solid gameplay, packed with a couple of funny variations. The graphics are a bit dated, especially the backgrounds, and the multiplayer modes are less than average, but the game is overall fun and entertaining.

Valkyria Revolution is nowhere near as good as Valkyria Chronicles and luckily it may be just a short detour into a hybrid musou/action territory. Story is kind of OK but plagued by overstaying cutscenes and loading screens, while everything else is shallow and very low budget.

Spirit Camera is an interesting tech demo but a disaster as a retail title: in fact, it lacks so much in gaming elements you could hardly call it a video game.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Predator is a game with some good potential that comes partially limited from some structural defects. The missions don't have varied enough objectives, the artificial intelligence of the enemies is insufficient and the level of difficulty is sometimes frustrating. But fans of tactical shooters will find some enjoyment out of the game, such as the multiplayer mode. Ultimately it's not a bad game but not a masterpiece either.

Translating civil unrest with all its implications into a videogame was not easy. Unfortunately RIOT manages to do that only in part, lacking in narrative and struggling to explain its complex situations to the player.

In the shooting phase, Drakkar's game provides satisfaction despite a repetitive level design and a poor variety of enemies. However, the biggest flaw of Blackwind is given by a control and framing system which, especially in the external areas, seriously risks creating frustration. The effort to create, with the platform sections, a diversion from the usual unbridled action is appreciable, unfortunately the realization was not up to par.

Tenebris Pictura is a mediocre game, but to some extent it has its own charm. The setting and story have an aura of Victorian mystery that carries you through to the end, although the pacing is lousy and there is much less substance than one might initially think. The combat system is a bit tedious, but it is the least relevant part of the whole package, which relies mainly on the puzzles, which are always interesting and, above all, extremely varied: no idea is ever recycled, and we are honestly amazed.

We don't know if this was the remake the team had in mind but we question who this title is aimed at. Maybe the users who played it in 1994? Or newcomers? We would say old players, but how many were actually so bewitched at the time that they rushed to spend €30 and replay this game today? Little Big Adventure: Twinsen's Quest isn't bad, it's just that it's difficult to recommend it to those who don't live on bouts of ‘90s nostalgia, as it clearly has structural limitations and the flow of advancement isn't particularly fun, however good the graphical style is. However, it is a niche cult game that will enrich your gaming culture, especially if you are thirsty for European gaming histories and biographies.

After a few hours in Welcome Tour's company, we can finally answer a very important question: is it a Nintendo game or not? The answer is yes, definitely, because of a whole set of parameters of history, biography, insanity, self-referentiality beyond all limits and a pinch of minimal genius, that '80s soap-and-water video game halo that has no purpose other than to challenge you to do better. The problem, though, is that Welcome Tour's depth, in its never wanting to scratch the surface, is shallow and consequently not very replayable. Part manifesto, part quiz book, part sticker album, snippets of quotes from the past, Welcome Tour is a video game, one of those educational softwares that entertain without ever going overboard.

Lord of the Rings: Conquest is a title with a lot of potential, but only barely expressed. The great atmosphere doesn't match the lack of a solid gameplay, especially in the combat system, not too deep and often bungler. We give advice on it only to fans, the others should go for a better action title.

Sports Story follows the lead of Golf Story, keeping the same protagonist and some characters from the nice cast of its predecessor, and improving many elements of its formula. Bugs and glitches of the launch version notwithstanding, Sports Story grants a lot of fun and keeps the players’ attention high, thanks to a humour capable of hitting the mark in the context of surreal situations to be solved with a sporty approach. The art style is great, with a well designed pixel art.
