Bionic Commando as a third person action game is pretty average and not necessarily the most accommodating of games - especially in regards to the masses of gamers who want instant gratification pick up and play experience.

I feel any true fan of the Virtua Tennis games can be happy with Sumo Digital’s work with Virtua Tennis 2009, as they have kept the perfectly solid gameplay mechanics and modes as solid as they were, but tweaked and adapted where deemed necessary.

CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars is a uniquely fun multiplayer shooter than will satisfy old school fans and give them, and competition hungry new schoolers, a solid alternative to the bigger games on the market that require a larger online time investment or statistical paranoia.

Annoyances aside, at 800 points Dead Money is a steal, one that could be taken fresh from the Sierra Madre vaults themselves!

To summarise, Polar Panic has a certain sparkle about it as a kid’s puzzle game. It’s rather self explanatory, uncomplicated and simplistic, but in a way, that’s quite a breath of fresh air from the land of modern games where everything has to be sophisticated in some way or manner.

If you are not grabbed in the first hour or so of play then maybe it's not for you.

The interrogations are unique but do tend to repeat themselves frequently.

I found that some of the controls were also rather horrid especially the first person aiming with some weapons.

There are issues with the title such as the controls, camera and AI but in general these do not hamper the overall game play too much other than causing some player frustration at times.

This is not a bad game, but even if judged for kids it is average.

While this is only Episode 1 of 3, Alien Breed: Evolution outshines most 800MSP XBLA games in terms of overall value as there's certainly a good 6+ hours to keep you on your toes in not only the single-player campaign, but the co-operative missions as well.

Enchanted Arms offers a compelling yet comical story that will at times make you laugh out loud or at the least, bring a smile to your face.

Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter for the Xbox 360 is a return of a classic. It may seem a little dated by some, but I personally believe that for both newcomers and nostalgic gamers like myself, the HD remake that is now available still provides a wonderful experience in terms of both speed and adrenaline pumping action.

There is no doubt that Def Jam Icon is a fun game that is easy to play and full of neat ideas for a fighting game. However due to the lack of depth and variety to the game play means you are left with a basic brawler that simply looks very nice.

This is a strictly average game in a market saturated with this kind of fare.

Its a shame that Party Classics doesn't really bring much new with it, it seems to be nothing more than an add-on for the franchise with another Lips game coming very shortly, will iNiS bring us a completely new game or will everything be nothing more than an add-on.

As it stands, Turok is a good game, that should be taken at face value, because if you are expecting the next Halo or COD 4, then you might be a little disappointed.

The game is not particularly lengthy and seems to average in at what most games do these days, with about a 5-6 hour campaign, obviously this will likely increase with knocking the difficulty up to Hard or the more deadly King difficulty mode.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is a port from the earlier released PC version, and not a very good port at that.

Quake Arena isn't going to pull the masses away from other FPS games like Halo: Reach or Call of Duty Black Ops, but it is a nice change of pace to just jump into an arcade game where you know you're going to kill and be killed.

I think the worst flaw as far as the AI is concerned was the fact that the reaction time of your unit at times was extremely sluggish.

Based on our experience and challenge that is on offer with Onslaught mode, we'd most certainly be happy to recommend Onslaught mode for Bad Company 2 veterans, as there's enough replay value to warrant the price tag, and with new maps on the horizon Onslaught will undoubtedly be a mode to revisit in the future.

At 800 Microsoft Points, The Fancy Pants Adventures will satisfy fans of the platform genre, and not damage the pocketbook too much.

While it feels a little expensive at 800 Microsoft points, Space Ark is still a fun game.

Once you remove the shackles of expectation and simply bask in what the game throws at you (keeping a well opened mind of course) you will come out the other side perplexed and captivated.

The fights are well balanced and won’t feel too easy to complete but with the loss of LIVE, the game life itself has been severely dented.

The game will make a solid addition to anyone's game library and fans will eagerly await the final episode.

It’s easy to see that March Madness 2007 is not the best college basketball game on the market. It’s not even close.

SST is a decent foray into the tennis genre, but rather than rely on the basic game, throws lots of diversity into the mix with its mini games and challenges.

The story is strong and keeps you interested all the way, the control system is hard to master but allows fluent exploration of the environments (which are huge).

Graphically R Racing looks poor, especially the track detail.

In the end, Harmony of Despair is a paradox. Konami wants Castlevania fans, the gamers who are most likely to enjoy the game to its fullest, to pay for content they've already played. First-time players, on the other hand, will probably enjoy the game less, even though all of the content will be new to them.

Flawless animation, solid voice acting and a top quality cinematic experience makes this game a marvel to look at. On the flip side, a linear story line removes the intrigue that the animation series has captured and pulled its audience in with.

As a whole Two Worlds II is a definite step up from Two Worlds in almost every regard, and it especially shines through with its in-depth and thought out quest lines. Two Worlds II isn't however a match to the bigger western RPGs out there, e.g. The Elder Scrolls series. This is let down by the overly convoluting interface and control system that makes the gameplay feel like a generation behind.

A fun yet very different Rayman game and in my opinion it’s hit and miss as to whether fans of previous games will enjoy this due to its departure from what is expected. A real Marmite game, you’ll either love or hate it.

Throwback delivers a genuine Tecmo Bowl game without adding too much or taking away anything that made the game a cult classic.

If you're after more antics with the prince and princess, then I would recommend this additional content, as a worthy addition to the game. If you're still up to your eyeballs in the original then I would say hold off until you've fully exhausted the game first.

Manages to provide 14 levels of limited variety, although the levels are rather short they are quite enjoyable.

The lack of a controllable three man team, not being able to choose character classes, unrealistic hit detection, few outdoor sections in the wilds, faster paced game play, health checkpoints (luckily these are removed from hard difficulty) makes GRAW far removed from the original Ghost Recon to the point of almost being an entirely new game.

Shadowrun is a magnificent multiplayer adventure that is sure to keep you entertained for as long as you wish to play.

This isn’t at all a bad game but it is poorly presented on this platform, and to be perfectly honest it doesn’t belong on this platform, but if you’re really wanting to play this and you hate PC games then go ahead and buy it.

The characters are wacky and funny, the game play smooth (although doing specials seemed fiddly) and really there isn't much to complain about.

I definitely recommend F.E.A.R Files to fans of the first game. Although it might look a little dated, it is packed with more of the intense F.E.A.R. action that fans of the game love.

I’d recommend to anyone who’s into RPG’s to at least try The Last Remnant via a rent, you’ll probably won’t be able to complete it, but it’s the only way you’ll find out whether it’s a game you can enjoy while turning a blind eye to obvious downfalls.

Essentially a mini-game compilation at heart, comparisons to Kinectimals are unjust, and Fantastic Pets is a fun and entertaining experience for the younger generation. Those expecting anything more will be disappointed, but taken for what it is, a cute, light-hearted and easy to play venture, it certainly achieves what it set out to. The kids will love it, and the parents will welcome the distraction! It won't last forever, kids tend to get bored easily, but while it does they'll certainly enjoy grooming their created pets and interacting with them in magical ways. While a little unoriginal and nothing mind blowing, its got more than enough charm to provide hours of childlike fun for any younger gamer out there.

Universe at War at times feels too simplistic and yet overwhelming with confusion at other points in the game as you are trying to keep track of multiple things and constantly having to shift your view of the map.

The first open-world FUELled outing however will certainly be worth trying out for those that look to master every racing game, for other gamers, there's certain enjoyment to be had here, though it's not all adrenaline-fuelled, perhaps taking a test drive before purchasing would prove a wise decision.

Blazing Angels is definitely one for aircraft and arcade fans who aren’t overly fussed about realism especially as it offers nothing really new to the genre. There is no cockpit view included which may annoy some players but when you play the game and begin to appreciate the lock on camera you are left with often stunning dog fights that will most certainly bring a smile to your face.

With a little patience regarding the overall speed of the game you will find an entertaining title that will grip you to the end. Not essential but a good game all round.
