If you’re a fan of JRPGs then you will really enjoy Live a Live. Full of comedy, action, and adventure across multiple time periods Live a Live is overall a solid game. Sure, some cutscenes drag out. Some of that RPG grind is tedious but it’s still a must-play entry into the genre.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an incredible action-adventure title that is touching and beautiful to look at. Furthermore, the combat is slick; the landscapes are fascinating and the level design is amazing. However, minor performance issues taint the finished product.

Wavetale is an astonishingly charming game with movement controls and visuals like nothing I've experienced. It's a joyful 3D platforming experience, if not a little short.

This game took my expectations and flipped them all upside down with ease. From the music to the characters, the gameplay, the design of the world, and its wonderfully weird aesthetic. I really did not expect to enjoy the game as much as I did, and I can easily recommend it.

If you enjoy detective stories, narrative-driven games, or mysteries that reward careful thinking under pressure, this game is shaping up to be a compelling experience. Clue: Murder By Death understands the appeal of a good mystery and respects the player’s ability to solve it. Placing strict limits on time and information, it creates a sense of urgency that makes every choice feel meaningful. It is not about finding every answer, but about finding the right one before time runs out.

Brotato is an exceptional arena-based rogue-like shooter. This fast-paced and aggressive game will get under your skin and make you swear! With addictive gameplay and simple controls, this is hard to put down and easy to learn. Yet, it'll take plenty of practice and effort to master this deep and fulfilling indie title.

Siren's Rest DLC is a fantastic addition to the base game. If you have Game Pass, you can play the original as part of the subscription service. This additional content is both creepy and uncomfortable, yet wonderfully captivating. If you love the original, you'll adore this!

This game came as a brilliant surprise full of interesting twists, engaging dialogue, and a dark plot. I cannot recommend this title enough.

Its lively graphics, addictive gameplay loop, engaging multiplayer mode, and excellent audio presentation provide hours of charming chaos. Whether you’re a fan of strategy games, a casual gamer looking for something fun and accessible, or simply seeking a fresh and quirky game to unwind with, Mini City: Mayhem is undoubtedly worth your time and attention.

Overall I think Reigns:The Witcher combines the two franchises extremely well. Having minimal experience with Reigns before, this title makes me want to re-visit their other titles, and a must try for fans of either. The characters, the world and the music fit the gameplay and the humour perfectly. Strong recommend, especially on handheld devices such as the switch or mobile phones.

Hollowbody is more than just a nod to classic horror; it combines storytelling, atmosphere, and gameplay in a way that appeals to both newcomers and long-time fans. If you’re looking for a gripping horror experience that keeps you on your toes, this is a game you shouldn’t miss.

Harmony: The Fall of Reverie is a stunning visual novel. With multiple storylines and 6 aspirations, there is plenty to see and do. Furthermore, aesthetically it is stunning. If you haven't experienced this genre before, then this is a great place to start.

DeadCore Redux doesn’t chase trends. It doesn’t bloat itself with systems or dilute its identity. Instead, it doubles down on what it does best: pure, demanding first-person platforming with a razor-sharp focus on movement. And all that in a very affordable package. It’s a game about learning how to navigate it, and then how to navigate it faster. When everything finally clicks, when you clear a section flawlessly, it feels incredible. Highly recommended for players who love challenge, flow, and the quiet thrill of doing something difficult well.

Bogos Binted is a collection of wonderfully simple card games. Not all of them are hits, but it kept us laughing for hours regardless. Great fun for when you have half-an-hour or so to spare.

Unreal Life is an absolute triumph when it comes to atmosphere and non-linear storytelling. The game’s impressive pixel design, loveable cast of characters and simple gameplay loop all work in conjunction to provide a thoroughly satisfying experience. Yes, sometimes the game’s puzzles felt a tad obtuse and the gameplay isn’t anything special, but these minor gripes didn’t take away from the absolute joy I had on this emotional journey with Hal and my new favourite talking traffic light.

Toads of the Bayou is visually charming and, thankfully, it has the gameplay chops to back it up. There might be a few quirks that need ironing out, but it's a gameplay loop that's equal parts simple and thoughtful.

All in all, Eyes of War brings a fun spin to the RTS genre with its seamless blend of strategy and action. The ability to jump into the shoes of any soldier mid-battle is something you don’t see every day, and it spices up the experience. Sure, the lack of a story mode and matchmaking can be a bit of a bummer, but if you’re into the tactical side of things and love getting your hands dirty in the heat of battle, there’s still a lot to enjoy here. It’s got its quirks, but Eyes of War deserves a spot on your radar.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a fantastic open-world adventure with a compelling story. Moreover, it is filled with intriguing quests and a fantastic world to explore. Additionally, learning new skills and discovering interesting animals and plants is fascinating. However, the monstrously large open world can be overwhelming.

This game is very nicely designed and the puzzles are challenging, requiring sometimes a few mistakes till you get them right. However, I love the use of logic when it comes to solving puzzles than playing a game to defeat enemies. Additionally, the sea-like background music, 3D graphics, and cute characters all play a great part in the game and it all just works! So if it’s solving puzzles under the sea where it’s lit up with plenty of bright-neon style lights and this cute bioluminescence style creature, well this is a fun game to wrap one’s mind around and be absolutely entertained with the lights.

Football Manager 2024 Console edition is a phenomenal addition to this much-loved franchise. Furthermore, its layers of depth and new gameplay options complement the tried and tested approach. Accordingly, it is addictive and tough to put down.

This game managed to combine several genres in the best way, it has a good story but it is simple and not so engaging, a super fun gameplay that may become a bit repetitive because of its loop, overall Gordian Quest is a wonderful game. Which has so much content that it is definitely worth the $20.

Overall, the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is fantastic value for money. Both titles play and run exceptionally well, offering an immersive and engaging gameplay experience. The environments and character models are unbelievably lifelike, and the OST features a mature take on the Uncharted sound. Narratively, A Thief’s End is arguable the strongest in the series, especially if you’re already familiar with Nate’s story. Consequently, you may want to wait this one out until you’ve had the opportunity to play through the original trilogy. However, if you aren’t too fussed with the lifetime story of Nate, then jumping in here is also a viable option. Regardless of which way you go, this package is definitely worth picking up.

Soulstone Survivors is an incredible addition to the genre. It is addictive, fast-paced, and captivating. Dare I say it, but I think it is better then Vampire Survivors!

The Shift Legacy Collection is an evolution of an interesting game mechanic, from the simple, easy levels of the original Shift to the sprawling levels of Shift 4. The puzzles hold up better than the platforming, but it's a nice trip down memory lane for some, and an afternoon of light puzzle-platforming for everyone else.

Overall, despite my many confusions, I enjoy the game’s complexity. The narrative is super enticing and has my attention and is full of twists that I was not expecting—and I’m only a few hours in! The gameplay is yes, complex at times and can be slightly confusing in the beginning, but I think that’s part of the charm to the game. Once you get more comfortable with the many elements in play, things will start making a lot more sense. As someone who went in completely blind to the Pathologic series, I thoroughly enjoyed my time and will continue to play, potentially after I give the previous installments a try. This is one that I can happily recommend!

The Drifter's lovely art, excellent voice acting, and great writing make it a treat to play. It even has exciting gameplay, even if it can't escape all the foibles of the genre.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 is another triumphant return to a franchise dear to my heart. Superb campaigns remade in glorious visuals and a streamlined user experience help make this collection the definitive pro skater package. Whilst the changes made to THPS4 may upset some purists, this is still, for the most part, the games I grew up with fantastic modernised controls and gorgeous visual and animation design. Of course, the glaring omissions in the soundtrack soured my experience to some extent, but thankfully, not terminally. In an era of remakes or remasters, you can place this one squarely in the remake category. A fully remade game from the ground up. Tony Hawk Pro Skater games give you a little slice of nostalgia and they’re just downright fun!

Pokemon Legends Arceus delivers the kind of Pokemon game experience so many have been hoping and asking for such a long time and the potential to do more is huge. The satisfaction of the main story to the new style of battling and focus on exploring this world rather than just being in it gives it an amazing tone that is not about just “I wanna be the very best” and instead has a far richer “I want to learn everything to share that knowledge with everyone” goal that I thrive on. What an incredible way to kick off 2022 as a Nintendo Switch owner.
