Ghost of Yōtei is definitely a better game than Ghost of Tsushima, but I believe that it’s not just an improved GOT but rather a new game built on the foundations of Ghost of Tsushima. This game really lives up to the expectations and even goes higher, and the only thing that is keeping it from getting a perfect score is some minor issues with stealth and parts of the story.

River End Games have achieved something special with their debut title Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream. This stealth adventure has a solid story driven by superb characters and a gorgeous setting. Whilst the gameplay may not be challenging enough or provide enough freedom for some players, it is still a tightly crafted stealth experience. Mesmerizing visuals, a great soundtrack and truly memorable voice acting make this game my biggest surprise of the year so far. In a genre that has fallen to the wayside, River End have injected some much needed life!

Unicorn Overlord is a wonderful RPG that is filled with fascinating characters. Furthermore, the innovative combat system is captivating and I loved the dramatic plot. The only downside is the action can become repetitive.

With its tremendous take on the turn-based gameplay formula and creative vehicle/weapon customization, Reborn has one of the simplest and most addictive gameplay loops I’ve ever experienced, even out-performing its larger JRPG cousins in that regard. Sadly, as the cancellation of Reborn’s sequel came on the same day as its own release, it rings even more true now that Reborn is a giant killer from start to finish, going out perhaps not as intended, but in a blaze of glory.

As it is free to play, and Waterzooi put so much thought and love into it, I highly recommend this game. It is also a brilliantly interactive way to discover Ensor’s visual and musical works, and serves as a gateway into appreciating modern expressionism.

F1 Manager 2022 is a fantastic sports simulation title. With an in-depth and methodical approach, this will be a hit with its many fans. I loved the slow planning stages, the hiring and firing of staff, and the layers of research and development. What's more, the racing is enthralling, intense, and everything you'd hope it would be. If you love F1, then you'll adore this.

Puzzle Parasite is an insanely well-crafted game that needs way more eyes on it than it does. With only 15 reviews on Steam, as of writing(all positive, Btw), it would be a shame for a game with this much love and design prowess to be left to die unplayed. Smart, atmospheric puzzle adventure with a cricket-bat twist that hits far more often than it misses. Get it, you won’t regret it.

It’s important to remember that this is a remake, so sure, it has some awkwardly outdated NPC pathing and interaction and graphically, some textures look a little flat. Though these are minor issues, I’m nit-picking as a reviewer. I can’t deny that I loved being transported to late-Edo Japan and embarking on this epic story, playing all the little minigames, exploring the world, engaging in katana swordfights and more. The care, attention, and enhancements this game received set it above every other game in the Yakuza franchise. It’s a must-play.

If you are looking for the definitive way to play Aaero 2, look no further than the Black Razor Edition; a superb pulsating soundtrack and addictive gameplay makes this the best rhythm shooter in years. Coupled with great multiplayer modes, great audio design and solid graphics, you have the recipe for one hell of a game. More games like this should be made and more developers should take more chances. Innovation over imitation!

Overall, the Super Bomberman Collection is a fantastic and faithful remastering of classic titles. These seven titles which many, including myself, have never played, are addictive and chaotic party games which are best played in couch co-op with friends. Sadly, the lack of online multiplayer leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Thankfully, great quality of life updates and brilliant additions soften the blow. Remasters can sometimes be unwarranted but this is the perfect collection to introduce to a new generation.

From the charming visuals to the fun and addicting gameplay, Plantera 2 is one of the best idle games I have played. The only negative I can think of is that it hurt my hand a tiny bit when I was mashing click on a Loot Hero. Outside of that very minor problem, this game is fantastic. I loved every second of this charming expierence.

There is so much you can do in this game. It’s very well designed and the graphics are outstanding as well as the disasters and reality of how things move, and the workers work. I love when a game is so realistic in appearance and feels like the real thing, verse ones that are too easy or feel a bit like it’s in a beta stage of completion.

If you bounced off the first Death Stranding like I did, give this one a chance. It’s not just better, it’s a game that understands what it wants to be and respects the player in the process. Death Stranding 2 is still unique, still experimental, but it finally feels like a game designed to be enjoyed, not just endured. For me, it turned a franchise I only played to experience more of Kojima, into one I now deeply admire.

Lost Records Bloom & Rage is another gem in the now revered catalogue of Don’t Nod Entertainment. Sporting a set of characters that are so wonderful, and propelled by powerful voice acting, the tale will stay long in memory. Gorgeous visuals and a superb soundtrack help make this game a beauty to behold. The camcorder gameplay mechanic is a fantastic addition to an otherwise solid, if not spectacular gameplay design. Whilst the main plot can get bogged down by some minor issues, the characters themselves help seal this game as another memorable adventure.

As a fan of the series since its inception, it is so good to see the original Gears Of War return in all its glory. In my wildest dreams I never believed this wonderful title would ever end up on PlayStation, but I stand so happily corrected. A superb campaign and brutal, yet brilliant multiplayer will endear itself to a brand new generation of players for years to come. Whilst some returning players may not see enough new additions and balancing issues to warrant returning, this game still absolutely rules! See you on Gridlock!

Life is Strange: Remastered Collection allows fans of the franchise to come home to Arcadia Bay and experience the stories of Max and Chloe all over again with a beautiful update to the visuals. It’s wonderfully nostalgic to hear the chilled out indie music playing over long, sprawling cutscenes. It’s just as easy to be drawn into the complex plot themes of love, betrayal, loneliness and revenge… all against the darker backdrop of murder, drugs and kidnap. This is the perfect time for those who never quite got around to it the first time to jump in. Mission: Rift Seeker is a game that has launched in early access. The game has solid fundamentals and is a fun colony simulation game. The game teaches you how to start your base and gives you a solid foundation with room to experiment and learn how to let your seekers thrive. However, for a game that revolves around sending your minions to do things, I wish I had more control over my seekers. I also wish things in the game were more clear about how they worked. For those looking for a colony simulation game, this is one to keep track of, as it’s still in early access. In its current state, it is a game that I can’t recommend at the moment.
