Airheart mixes shoot'em and roguelike mechanics with a very nice art style, but unlikely standard roguelikes it feels over-punishing when we're beaten, making us lose hours of precious progress, and it's way too easy to accidentally shoot at civilians thus being targeted by overwhelming police forces. It would benefit from some balancing.- MondoXbox

Disintegration creates an original mix of FPS and real-time strategy action, but it ends up over-simplifying both aspects delivering an unsatisfying experience. The underdeveloped Campaign story and the problematic multiplayer don't help, too.- MondoXbox

Doom 3 still manages to give us some great emotions, but it didn't age too well and the always present flashlight just worsens the general feeling.- MondoXbox

Dimps managed to bring a breath of fresh air to an overly spent series adding some interesting RPG elements to the formula. There are still some aspects to be addressed in future games, but as of today its the game to have for Dragon Ball fans.- MondoXbox

Despite some nice tracks and gameplay features, V-Rally 4 disappoints due to an underdeveloped and chaotic Campaign mode, some driving problems and a somewhat messy interface.- MondoXbox

The First Tree tells a touching story aided by some nice graphics and a good soundtrack, but it's unluckily ruined by a too boring and repetitive gameplay and an overly short length.- MondoXbox

Sword Art Online: Last Recollection is the worthy conclusion, narrative-wise, of the SAO Gamerverse, with continuous twists and turns and the presence of many memorable characters. Unfortunately, on a gameplay level the many mechanics introduced are of little use, and even on a technical level it doesn't impress, also presenting several quality-of-life flaws. It is in all respects a title to be played solely for the plot, dedicated to those who enjoyed the previous chapters.- MondoXbox

A visually stunning game especially on Xbox One X, with a very solid and frantic multiplayer gameplay and finally introducing a satisfying - albeit short - single player campaign. Other than the campaign length, some problems of power-up balancing and rough animations keep it from shining to the max.- MondoXbox

Nowhere Studios' game has got as many qualities as defects: the brilliant artistic design and the good environmental puzzles get counter-balanced by lots of bugs and imprecise controls. All in all, it's definitely a game worth trying for Limbo-like games lovers.- MondoXbox

EA and Maxis' series comes back to console with bright and dark spots. On one side we have a very satisfying simulation with a good technical production, but on the other we get somewhat uncomfortable controls and relatively too little environment and character customization choices.- MondoXbox

Loot River combines attractive looks and sounds to roguelike mechanics with Tetris contaminations, giving life to a definitely original gameplay loop. It suffers from some repetitiveness and a not too deep combat system, but it remains capable of fascinating the player thanks to its unique mechanics.- MondoXbox

Hyper Void isn't a a particularly revolutionary shoot'em up, but thanks to a highly variable level structure and its solid gameplay it's capable of successfully entertaining the genre's lovers for several hours.- MondoXbox

A quite ordinary local multiplayer party game, with too low variety in gameplay and modes to really shine. It can be funny for the first matches, but it will quickly wear out.- MondoXbox

DCL - The Game manages to accurately simulate the real racing drone experience, with great drone set-up depth and realistic controls. Its lack of tutorials/aids and too few and limited modes might make it difficult to approach by newcomers, but any DCL fan should try it.- MondoXbox

Shredders is an ambitious indie game, characterized by some too many edges but with the great quality of offering a snowboarding game that conveys passion for this discipline. The extremely complex control system can lead to some frustration, but those who have the patience to overcome a few too many failures will be rewarded with satisfaction and a lot of fun.- MondoXbox

Cobalt provides a decent and original single player metroidvania experience, plus a frenzied and content-rich multiplayer. It lacks the spark to make it really memorable mainly due to its too generic design and the price feels a bit too high, but especially if you've got friends to play it with, you won't be disappointed.- MondoXbox

DON'T NOD delivers a linear, narrative-driven space adventure focused on the connection between its two protagonists. While it shows excellent direction and great characterization, it stumbles on a basic level design, repetitive gameplay, and an underdeveloped story plot. A flawed yet very fascinating interstellar journey.- MondoXbox

ELEX II is as vast, free and engaging as it is crude and flawed. Over-the-top elements clash with a lame technical side and a flawed enemy AI, in a continuous roller coaster of conflicting emotions. It may involve you deeply as well as you may come to hate it for its many imperfections and the punishing difficulty, but however it goes you won't fail to realize this is a game made with heart.- MondoXbox

Despite the new and interesting Challenge Play mode and the great golf implementation, Kinect Sports Season Two looks like a step backwards for the series, with generally uninteresting sports expecially for the european public. Keeping the first game sports together with the new ones would have kept it more interesting, adding more variety to the entire package.- MondoXbox

Knee Deep features an interesting noir murder story narrated as a theatrical performance, but with a too low level of interaction only limited to dialogues and a few overly easy mini-games. The absence of foreign (Italian, in this case) localization with very colloquial and slangy dialogues doesn't help, either.- MondoXbox

One of the most unique and nonsensical games we tried so far, asking us to manually manage every single body function - from moving his legs to breathing - of the poor Samuel. This mechanic goes often over the top though, making us confront with highly frustrating scenarios.- MondoXbox

Call of Cthulhu won't set new standards or be recalled like one of the greatest Lovecraftian games, but it manages to deliver an interesting story (even if with a bit too many plot holes) and a very atmospheric investigative adventure.- MondoXbox
