Following the remarkable success of the last game that was published by Daealic Entertainment, the company did it again, they invented a fantastic adventure game, which fascinates and makes you fall in love in equal parts.

Silence tries to modernize the point-and-click adventures thanks to a more interactive control system and a simplification of the puzzles, that makes them well integrated to the narrative.

With Silence Daedalic delivers a fascinating and visually stunning sequel to The Whispered World, but console gamers who didn't play the first game on PC will feel a bit lost, and the interface isn't too optimized for controller use too.

Those who are looking for a charming, puzzle-based narrative could definitely do a lot worse than Silence. Well-worth playing for its visuals alone, it’s something that will likely satiate fans of the classic genre. That said, it’s unfortunately overpriced, bearing a $29.99 US asking price that is arguably ten or fifteen dollars too high.

All things considered, it's a decent point-and-click title although the asking price seems way off the mark for a game that's only five hours long, which doesn't offer enough time to flesh out the story and characters.

It's flawed and frustrating at times, but worth seeing through to the end. [Jan 2017, p.90]

Combine technical faults, repetitive gameplay, and characters so idiotic and unlikable you’d wish the game’s enemies would rip their spines out, and you’ve got a title that is a chore to play through.
