Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers is not the essential handheld fighting experience, and doesn't really deserve to be. Its control quirks and lack of anything in terms of long-term entertainment outside of the multiplayer fail to make this a must-buy.

Level design, enemy design, and damn near every other category of this game are in short, unimpressive.

Guitar Rock Tour is a wannabe Guitar Hero. In a time when music simulation games are going all out with original songs, bonus features and other goodies, Gameloft's bottom of the barrel effort fails to thrill.

Sadly, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has little to no redeeming value. Considering the cost, you should get your retro fix elsewhere.

A solid adventure that'll appeal to retro fans in search of a Genesis fix. At the same time, there's little to do once you plow through the main quest, aside from inviting a friend to play via Bluetooth. Regardless, the game takes roughly two hours to complete.

Regardless of whether you choose to pay or grind it out, Judge Dredd vs Zombies provides several hours of shooting fun. Levels are short, but the sheer number of baddies and desire to unlock new boards will keep you interested for quite some time. Best Judge Dredd game ever? Sure seems like it.

We just cannot believe the nerve of these designers to overcharge (yes, a dollar too much) for something that should obviously be free. Is it fun against a friend? Sure, but don't expect to play it for more than ten minutes.

Taken as a bit of throwaway fun at Christmas, or passed around on an iPad at family events, there's something to be said for grabbing Bop It! Smash, especially as it's a free download. As a solo endeavor though, the rather simplistic gameplay, single game mode, and occasional hardware jitters make this game a rather difficult one to wholeheartedly recommend.

We like Rovio's game, but would've gladly paid for a more full-featured product.

It's very clear, unfortunately, that NHL 2K is a free offering, as you get what you pay for in this situation. If you were hoping for the next installment in a franchise that doesn't appear to be coming back to consoles in quite some time, you're going to be sadly disappointed.

Godus is a fun simulation game. For a free download, it gives you a lot of value and is a very deep experience. Its slow pace and premium add-ons might turn some people off, but it is still a very solid title.

If you love to play hours of chess against an opponent who is often much better than you are, then this game could be for you. However, be aware you will have to stomach a terrible storyline in order to play the single player game.

While there is nothing particularly exceptional about Dungeon Explorer: Warriors of Ancient Arts, there's also no major flaws.

The battles are stale, the storyline is boring, and the graphics are fairly weak; what more does I have to say to make you avoid this title?

If the only system you own is the Sony PSP and you need an X-Men fix, you could do a lot worse than X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Rent it first, bub.

What you are getting is a grave magnitude of repeating hallways, a dull story with often dull witted opponents, mucked up controls, and a game missing many key abilities from the 360 or PS3 editions.

It's just a shame that we don't have the patience to deal with the game's sloppy tilt controls. We really want to love Ribbim Ribbon because it features stylish visuals, a cool soundtrack and a fun concept, but until Tapulous makes some necessary tweaks, it'll remain ignored.

This is not a beautiful game, and it's not even a particularly welcoming one either. Despite the simplistic gameplay, there's little in the way of hand-holding on offer: how exactly to sell crops, what the icons on the mini-map represent, how to transfer goods from combine to trailer and so on.

What the game has for you in presentation, it can't make up for in lackluster gameplay and big problems.

When a game's so terrible it makes you yearn for the days of Moonwalker on Sega Genesis, there's a problem. Michael Jackson The Experience should have been one of the premier music titles for iPad. Instead, it's one of the worst.

Chillingo had a foundation in place for an excellent spaghetti western for iPhone and iPad, but the designers failed to create a compelling experience.

There's fun to be had, no question, but we doubt After Burner Climax will remain in your must-play list for long unless your goal is to master Score Attack and dominate the leaderboard. Sadly, this port doesn't meet the high standards of its console counterpart.

It's good for kids and fans of the movie. It's just run aground with age in terms of its gameplay, its presentation, and its length.

Bothersome controls.

Rather than trying something new and innovative within the capabilities of the platform, Coded Arms gives gamers the same thing they've gotten so much of already: a straight port that simply banks on the fact that it looks impressive and has never been done on a mobile platform.

A decent Angry Birds clone that'll appeal to wrestling fans and, well, wrestling fans. There's little reason to choose this game over the other titles in the App Store, but if you eat, sleep and breathe WWE, it provides a decent experience.

There's a bothersome crashing issue that seems to occur during random fatalities and the camera will occasionally spaz out, but otherwise, AVP: Evolution is a well designed franchise tribute and a blueprint for how to do a kickass Alien versus Predator experience on mobile.

We're not sure the combat system is enough to keep you engaged with the Arena of War for a huge amount of time, but it is refreshingly different and you should definitely give the game a go. Even if you'll only be able to play in relatively short bursts, this is a great fantasy game, beautifully produced, and packed with plenty of depth if you have the patience or cash to go deeper.
