The First Descendant offers a good looking, solid and fast experience. The characters are charming and well designed, the bosses are spectacular battles and the progression is robust. The microtransaccions are expensive but optional, and while the missions are repetitive, they are a good base for future updates.

Cyerbpunk 2077 ends up being a disappointment and a shame. The general lack of polish and technical problems make it difficult to fully enjoy a fascinating universe that, behind a pile of hypersexualized posters and an advertising campaign made by a teenager with revolutionized hormones, has moments of extreme reflection, tenderness, compassion and companionship. In the future, Cyberpunk 2077 will surely be a better product, but at the moment it should not even be for sale.

Mr. Run and Jump is a colorful and demanding platformer that, when it shows its best side, manages to charm with well-designed levels and complicated jumps. However, the ruthless difficulty curve and imprecise controls can end up discouraging less skilled players.

As the saying goes Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is a jack of all trades, master of none. The best moments in Valhalla are the most intimate, those that explore Eivor as a character, sitting by a campfire talking about life with one of her friends. The game has other intentions, and when it tries to tell all the possible stories, it ends up suffering.

Even when the visuals remind us of so many other games, Journey To The Savage Planet has very unique ideas and its exploration mechanics are particularly remarkable. The experience is short-lived, with some major bugs, but still good, especially if you play it in co-op.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE Encore has both a J-pop-styled soundtrack and presentation that distinguish it from other JRPGs. Characters are also charming and the combat is extremely engaging despite its high difficulty. However, it is hard to recommend it to those who already played it on Wii U.

Destroy All Humans! is a remake that won't make much of an impact. While it feels like a modern title thanks to its gameplay and graphics, there are other elements that give its age away, as a title originally published in 2005.

A remaster that's great on visuals and and functionality but leaves us wanting extras and multiplayer modes. The games themselves are still great, although perhaps a little repetitive for today's standards.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated gives us a good time. It is one of the best adaptations of a TV show into a video game, despite being a title that shows its age in several areas and that could have been better when it comes to a remake. But the charm of SpongeBob and his universe is still there.

Super Robot Wars stands out for its large repertoire of characters. Its entire narrative and gameplay is an excuse for iconic mechas and pilots to shine with interactions that fans can enjoy.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars offers three spectacular games in the least inspired way possible. It's amazing to see these games reaching a whole new generation of gamers, but taking into account that Mario is Nintendo's flagship series, they could have made a greater effort.

Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted ends up being a decent remaster that we could ask for a little more new content from.

The Precinct is a proposal that pays tribute to the police TV shows and movies of the 80s, with a somewhat repetitive experience, a city with a very well achieved mood and chases at full speed.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a good video game that I think fans of the saga will enjoy. That said, he still has many things to polish that do not take away from the fact that the things he does well, he does very well. Its universe, its setting and its non-linear narrative are the highlights of a delivery that has a lot to improve from its performance.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership is an experience that, although it repeats itself a lot at times, is quite fun. It manages to overcome some of the obstacles that made this franchise fail, but it also stumbles at times over the same stones. It's not a bad return for the franchise, but it also falls in the middle of other great RPG experiences even for the same character.

Reveil is a psychological horror adventure that relies on a mystery that gets solved relatively soon, but manages to keep your interest until the end. Its technical accomplishments create a terrifying atmosphere that, unfortunately, gets broken again and again by some details that were handled without care.

Synergy is an interesting proposal that stands out thanks to its expedition system and a very nice visuals.

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is a great experience, mostly because the base work is very good and could be considered without any doubt a modern classic in what is the Nintendo catalog.

Riders Republic is a step forward in Ubisoft's sporting open worlds, but we're still far from the best that this sport subgenre can really offer.

The story is extremely engaging: therefore, as an interactive movie, it's a good one. As a video game, there are thousands of them that have applied gameplay elements to great stories in a better way.

You can tell that Bloober Team loves horror and The Medium has a lot of lovable details. The atmosphere and original mechanics are the strong point. But the story loses strength and even becomes confusing. This added to the excessive linearity and the chases obtuse design don't allow me to recommend it more than to true fans of the genre.

The remastered version of Saints Row: The Third feels like a wasted opportunity. If in addition to dealing with the technical aspect, Sperasoft would hve polished the playable experience a bit, updated the AI and solved the most obvious problems, perhaps it would have been worth revisiting it 9 years later.

In Beyond Contact, players need to be resilient in order to get into and become familiar with the game. It's not ideal: an adventure game should be engaging from the start. But if you are a fan of this genre, the range of possibilities it offers is worth the patience.

Serious Sam 4 could have been a total reinvention of the franchise, a step forward to revitalize a series that still has to take advantage of this new golden age of old school shooters. However, this is a wasted opportunity: the same game, but with the largest number of enemies to fight. If you're looking for the same Serious Sam, then this new installment may end up meeting your needs.

Far Cry 6 calls for an urgent change in the series. I'm not sure how much time Far Cry can continue down this path. Patience has already run out: the current approach is tiresome and the next game in the series needs to be a radical change in the way of making an open world, first-person shooter.

The art, the music and the characters are all beautifully composed to deliver a pleasant audiovisual experience, but it's in the gameplay aspect that this game starts to fall apart. No Straight Roads has a lot of ideas, but most of them don't go well with each other, especially in combat, and when they do go well together it can be a bit difficult to understand what's going on on screen.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League fails to reach anywhere near the level of greatness of the incredible Batman: Arkham, but it retains vestiges of its essence and is much more entertaining than I anticipated. The story is worth every second invested, and being a relatively short title, I would recommend it to any fan of the superhero genre in general.

I was hoping for As Dusk Falls to share a place with the best and most respected Netflix and HBO productions, but that would be setting the bar too high. I find it more accurate to position it as those simpler and pure popcorn series, ideal to spend a few hours of a gray Sunday afternoon. An ideal entertainment for when we only need something temporary and fun.

The Pathless isn't necessarily a bad game, but it's hard to recommend. What really stands out are its puzzles and their variants, but the journey from one to the other lacks momentum. Those who have never played a similar game may find it interesting, but in general it feels a sloppy copy of previous games.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince is recommended for all those who want an escape from the typical Pokémon formula, or an accurate spin-off of Dragon Quest. It doesn't matter if you're entertained by or drawn to this world. Of course, if this is the case, you will enjoy this adventure much more, but those who are looking for an RPG of this kind will not be disappointed.

SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos es a relaunch that barely qualifies as modern. Although the game itself is entertaining, its wish to stick to the arcade original ends up harming what it has to offer.

The biggest flaw in Infliction: Extended Cut are its similarities to so many other games. Many of its mechanics and design decisions have already been seen, but players who love horror will be hooked by its creepy atmosphere and story.

Marvel’s Avengers is a pastiche of game mechanics and structures that go opposite paths without a definite direction. It offers a single player campaign that could have been really interesting but that never takes flight because it is restricted by multiplayer-type missions.

We will keep an eye on how Hyper Scape evolves, but the first impression has not been entirely good even when it has some interesting, fresh and original ideas that can push the genre forward.

Darwin’s Paradox! delivers an equal mix of puzzles, platforming, and frustration, with imprecise controls and counterintuitive situations. Its eye-catching design, sense of humor, and a few brilliant moments save it from the abyss.

The Posthumous Investigation is visually striking and faithfully adapts Machado de Assis's work with meticulous technical attention to detail, but its slow pacing and lackluster conclusion ultimately detract from the game.

Not everyone will find AO Tennis 2 fun since it asks the player to adapt to its peculiar gameplay, and even after a dozen hours of practice and playing, you’ll keep missing the court because of its whimsical guides. But if you look past those frustrations, you can have a good experience, especially playing with friends.

Alone In The Dark aims to reimagine the classic 1992 game but falls short in creating an atmosphere worthy of a pioneering franchise in the survival horror genre. Despite being accompanied by good music and decent performances, it is a title with significant shortcomings in its overall pace, moderately acceptable puzzles, and a poor combat system. It seeks to evoke the purest Lovecraftian essence but fails to execute this idea with the expected success, which is disappointing for such a beloved series that fails to release games up to par.

Ikai is a small game that works better in terms of ideas than in execution. It brings a good J-horror setting and puzzles that make you think, although the narrative is not up to par and it doesn't bring anything new to the genre.

Mojang's new proposal brings tons of innovation, not only for Minecraft but also for the genre, but it doesn't go deep in practically any aspect.

Curse of the Sea Rats is a fun metroidvania designed for adults and children alike. It is colorful, sounds and plays very well, and offers a varied proposal. However, the bugs and the general lack of polish end up tarnishing the experience.

Pacific Drive stands out for its driving mechanics, setting, looting, and progression, but it's challenging for me to recommend due to the setbacks it inflicts on the player experience and some issues with its interface. Nonetheless, the accessibility options are well-implemented, allowing for a customized experience in Ironwood Studios' debut title, which, above all, is highly original.

Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is a compelling game but the sum of the small elements feel limited. The little variety of enemies and weapons makes the game lose surprise quickly as well as an almost null exploration and puzzles that don't feel organic with the gameplay. However, the story is interesting and the game is fun, managing to keep us entertained throughout its seven hour length.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. MaxiBoost ON is a difficult game to recommend. As a fighting game, it isn't bad; on the contrary, it is impressive that, with such a high number of characters, it manages to be a balanced game. The problem is, it doesn't have much more than that to offer, even for Gundam fans.

Double Dragon Revive has all the ingredients to be a great game, but it loses its flavor in the mix. When it tries to update nostalgia, it loses its way.

NoseBound is a rustic adventure game, with several rough edges, that tells a genuine story. A simple case that gets complicated. Short and fun.

A return that offers just enough, and necessary only for those who enjoyed this game back in Game Boy Advance. Not so recommended for new users.

The decisions in many aspects of gameplay are correct for the time and even now, but Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition has some flaws that can't be put aside. It fails to be the cooperative and adventurous Final Fantasy that fans have long sought.

A brutal and unique atmosphere that is diluted by repetitive combat and an irregular pace.

Atlas Fallen is a proposal with little flavour because of its good ideas for combat, but overshadowed by the lack of variety of enemies and a simple narrative that fails to engage.

Super Crush KO is a fun beat ‘em up that encourages us to improve our records and challenge ourselves. Despite its limitations with level design and relatively short duration, it manages to keep things fresh and entertaining.

Empire of Sin wanted to be more than it could be and, although artistically speaking it is beautiful, it fails in many of its systems or by being too simplistic in other aspects. Most likely, many of the problems will be fixed with patches and, as is customary in games published by Paradox, with an uncountable amount of DLC's and mods from the community that will not allow it to go into oblivion so quickly.

With solid technical aspects but disappointing gunplay, repetitive encounters, and other flaws, all the good stuff ends up falling flat.

Kizuna Encounter: Super Tag Battle was forgotten back in the day. The generic characters kept it from standing out among other heavyweights of the era, and in this 2025 version, even with a few extras, it still feels the same.

Little Nightmares III aims to expand the series’ experience with a co-op mode but, while not a bad game, it fails to capture the same charm and unsettling atmosphere that defined its previous installments.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 feels like a rushed and half-hearted sequel. It doesn't measure up, with the worst campaign and the worst gunplay. The multiplayer is fun, but it's not enough to make up for the other shortcomings.

A game that shows that Virtual Reality is a great medium for superhero stories. The game mechanics are tied to the the very essence of the character effectively and it is a game with good ideas. Unfortunately, good intentions do not make a good game and this is why Iron Man VR falls short of other productions exclusive to the Playstation VR.

Pokemon Sword/Shiled: Isle of Armor is the first piece of a whole called the Expansion Pass, and despite its incredible visuals and offering a new wilderness area, it's still relying on the next iteration to justify its price. Crown of Tundra comes later this year and its premise itself caught our eye from the very first moment. Island of Armor is just a way to prepare us for what is coming.

Shadow Labyrinth is a metroidvania based on an alternate Pac-Man universe that evokes mixed feelings with its striking aesthetic and ideas, but with a frustrating pace and shallow combat.

This game’s high potential is squandered by poor localization and presentation. I could let it go with that usual “fans are gonna love it” cliché, but fans don’t deserve such a badly explained game. It’s like getting a beautiful model kit as a present, with only a hammer to assemble it.

Highwater is an adventure with a heavy focus on its narrative, and a turn-based combat system that presents its battles as puzzles. It is a modest but correct game in its technical aspects and the music is frankly spectacular, but each of its goals runs out of steam halfway.

With good ideas but a less than convincing execution, Star Overdrive is an experience with both positive and negative points for those looking to enjoy an open world like that reminds to Breath of the Wild.

Rewarding for fans but not very accessible for new players, SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered presents an interesting set of ideas, but its uneven execution prevents it from reaching its full potential.

Chinatown Detective Agency feels incomplete, rushed and lacking in essence. A failed successor to Carmen Sandiego that which looks like a very adult game, but ends up being as simple as a story for kids with access to Google Play.

Out of Line features striking art direction but it is another puzzle adventure game that, obviously, doesn't change the formula.

Stela is a beautiful visual experience. The sound design is magnificent too and, together with the art direction, they create a beautiful world. But while it is not a bad game, it is bland and even boring. There is nothing special about Stela, specially if we compare it with all those similar platformers such as Limbo, Inside or even Another World.

There is much to appreciate in Bounty Battle: the idea, the art, the music, the combat, and the effort made by the dev team. But, at the same time, much of that effort is evident in the lack of polish and the lack of some options that many may consider essential, such as online multiplayer.

Disintegration is a hybrid between FPS and RTS that ultimately fails to deliver a satisfying experience on both ends. Its uninspired singleplayer campaign is filled with technical issues during cinematics and during missions. I never felt like I was having fun while playing the same type of objectives over and over again. Not even the somewhat decent multiplayer modes can save Disintegration from falling short of its expectations.

Shadow Warrior 3 is a huge disappointment and a wasted opportunity to elevate the series and take it out of the niche it's been in for a long time; in fact, it's a considerable step back from Shadow Warrior 2. Lo Wang is constantly irritating and prevents us from enjoying those moderately well-executed moments.

Minecraft Dungeons is a missed opportunity in every sense. After playing the first map, the formula is constantly repeated, only differing in terms of colors and the paths to take. The main story goes completely unnoticed, to the point that you forget about the main goal. The best way to enjoy it is in co-op mode, because, once the story mode is over, it has nothing else that can surprise us.

Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 doesn't quite do enough to separate itself from other games in the kart racing genre. While we are playing, it undoubtedly feels as a competent game, but its gameplay is nothing new. Comparisons to games like Mario Kart are everywhere, and even the game's unique mechanics are not enough to elevate it.

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series has levels that are pretty linear, bosses that don't even take five minutes to be defeated and a generic formula, without innovation in the genre and deprived of heart.

Launching video games as a service and making them a success is no easy task, and as fun as the exponent is, I find it hard to imagine PAC-MAN Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs having a promising future. Its lack of elemental variety and the sheer number of bots in the games are an issue that needs to be addressed quickly if they are to turn things around.

For every success, Wild Hearts makes several mistakes. There's a great concept behind all this, but the design problems, the poor balance and the technical errors make this title fall far short of what it was meant to be.

Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions ends up being an unsatisfying game. It's far from the ideal experience and is spiced with various bugs and a poor translation that makes dialogues meaningless. The rest of the content, which adds a correct online mode and a dream team editor, is a nice addition but not enough to carry the weight of all its shortcomings.

Skully, in many ways, felt like a rehash or, more specifically, like a cross between Marble Madness gameplay and Zelda puzzles, but done in a hurry.

Lacking in content and monotonous at times, FBC: Firebreak does just enough to get by and hides behind the promise that it will be better in the future.

Hellbound has been in development for quite some time, and it's surprising to see that it has been polished so little since then. The main problem is that the game's shortages, paradoxically, are very easy to find in those games, from the golden age of shooters, that Hellbound is paying tribute to.

It's a shame that The Blind Prophet fails so bad because its artistic work is absolutely fantastic. It feels like a video game turned into a comic, both gameplay-wise and story-wise. However, we can’t overlooked its flaws.

Hood: Outlaws and Legends shows that it has potential, and with future updates it may show its best, but as long as it continues down this path, it's really difficult for it to take off and become the next success.

Predator: Hunting Grounds has good ideas: it's more than interesting that Soldiers and the Predator face each other on a "living" map where there are missions to complete, AI-controlled squadrons and animals to hunt. But in practice, it fails completely. Missions are boring, the AI has unforgivable errors and the maps are few and all the same. Illfonic can fix matchmaking and balance issues with a patch, but fixing the rest will take much more work.

Biomutant is a game that works technically well and sounds fantastic on paper, but in reality, it has nothing interesting to offer to the open world adventure genre.

Past Mario's sports games in many cases managed to get me interested in the real disciplines, but Mario Golf: Super Rush lacks inspiration and ability to inspire. Standard mode is an experience that can be satisfying, but everything else is forgettable.

Peaky Blinders Mastermind could have been a great prequel and introductory game to the series with good puzzle design or it could have been a great real-time tactics game. But it never made the decision. It is neither one nor the other.

The only reason to try Crysis Remastered is that you do not have another platform to play it and it was always your dream, but you could never do it. But even in that context, I can't recommend it. The only advantage I find is playing it in handheld mode.

Rugby 20 falls into the "for fans only" category, but not in the traditional sense because it is a game for those who are willing to buy it only to support the franchise. The lack of budget is obvious, but there is a solid base of something good here that might get better in future sequels.

The latest title from the popular hedgehog tries to mark a new trend for the franchise, but none of its highlights end up coming together.

It's a shame, but considering the current state of the game, it's hard to recommend West of Dead. Its amazing visuals along with the setting and soundtrack are not enough to overcome the frustration that the game achieves in every corner.

Summer in Mara is a charming idea buried under poor mission design, boring story and all kinds of small and medium bugs. It's quite possible that many of these problems are solved by multiple patches, but the core of the game is already compromised.

Beautiful art, a rousing soundtrack and an appealing combat system can’t compensate for the game’s weaknesses: poor tutorials, unintuitive mechanics, and two-dimensional characters. Fans of the series and old-school JRPG nostalgics may overlook its flaws and endure it all with a smile - I couldn’t.

What began as a compelling exploration of the Vampire: The Masquerade universe quickly became an endurance test. This is a peculiar, idiosyncratic game, both in its narrative structure and the many capricious design choices. I’m sad to say I can’t recommend it.

Those Who Remain can work if you are looking for simple scares.The atmosphere works well and puzzles are based on some very good concepts. But the rest of the elements simple ruin the experience, even when the game tries it hard to include story choices to be more complex. With so many other similar and better games out there, there is no reason to recommend it.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot isn’t the RPG we were expecting to get, but instead a frustrating, tedious and even boring game. While we can’t grow tired of Dragon Ball story, there are certainly many other ways to enjoy it.

Redfall's biggest problem is that it has no clear identity, with an empty open world and a lot of design and technical problems that seem to be very difficult to solve with updates.
