Final Fantasy VII Remake is undoubtedly among the best of 2020. The first part of this remake meets every expectation, beyond its technical problems, and we are already hyped of what is to come. Gestalt: Steam & Cinder is a good metroidvania with a healthy dose of interesting characters and dialogue. When it comes to combat and exploration it's fun, and while bosses can be a bit easy, it's never boring. Short and ideal to get started in the genre.

Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels is what we expected of racing these type of cars: adrenaline given by the mechanics of the game and an exorbitant show. All this makes up a package that can be taken very seriously by scale model fans and enjoyed in the most arcade-like way possible by newcomers of the hobby.

Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium is one of the best official arcade compilations. Not only does it boast a fantastic list of games, actually one better than the other, but it emulates them to perfection.

Conscript is a survival horror that celebrates the classics, paying respect to their mechanics and with a truly terrifying context. The combat system is a bit rough, but the rest of the game compensates and in a matter of hours it becomes an exciting experience.

Another Crab's Treasure isn't the messiah of souls, but it doesn't pretend to challenge From Software's work either, but it does take the basic elements that the studio knew how to create and bring them to its comfort zone to generate a unique, narrative experience, with a lot of humour and which is an excellent entry point for new users to this genre. Those who are already familiar with these experiences will feel at home and will not find it hard to get into this underwater world that, by dint of great moments and a package of good ideas, undoubtedly generates more smiles than anxiety.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has some things that overshadow the experience, including the classic Ubisoft bugs and a visual performance that at times is controversial, but there is no doubt that it is a great, enjoyable and complete experience. A step in the right direction. The game is the result of great ideas that worked well in other recent games, and were very well captured in this new installment of Prince of Persia. I hope the numbers go with it, because I would love to see in the future how they can make a sequel with much more confidence than what this game represents.

Manor Lords is a title with potential, although we will have to wait patiently to see it. This, undoubtedly, can deter the more impatient from giving it a chance. The progression is slow, and we might have to start several games from scratch to get the hang of it. On the contrary, those who are accustomed to this type of game will find here a beautiful and mechanically impressive city builder. [Early Access Review]

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a sequel that stays true to its roots, but in the best way possible. It recaptures what made the original unique and enhances it with new vocations to choose from and dozens of skills to master. It's an adventure across two gigantic continents to explore, brimming with mysteries and treasures, and a strong presence of mythological beasts to defeat. [Review in Progress]

The Callisto Protocol is a sublime horror experience in atmosphere and immersion, offering a worthy challenge when it comes to single-enemy combat or against a mini-boss. The problem appears when the hordes arrive: when fighting many enemies, the rough combat mechanics are very noticeable. And being such a combat-centric survival horror, these shortcomings keep it from being one of the best of the year. [Review in Progress]

After a year in Early Access, Unrailed is a party game that challenges us to keep a little train rolling towards the next station, having to craft and place the rails on the go. The game offers the option to play single player, but it’s clear the game’s strong point relies on its multiplayer experience. [Early Access Score = 80]
