After several years of mistreatment and neglect Crash Bandicoot makes a grand comeback with Nsane Trilogy; a collection consisting of the Bandicoot's first three adventures carefully remade with shiny new graphics and a few other notable improvements. While the Crash Bandicoot games never came close to the quality of Nintendos Mario, this collection is still surprisingly enjoyable for both old and new players.

A remake to inspire all remakes. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age takes an already amazing game and makes it even better. The new graphics sure is nice and all but the technical improvements, like faster load times and the fast-forwarding system steals the show here.

Spatoon 2 may feel more like an update than a new game, but just like its predecessor it’s easy to pick up for everyone – whether you’re a hardcore Splatoon-fan or new to the series. Additionally, the new weapons and abilities are all fun to use, and really deepen the mechanics. This is in every way a better game than the first one.

Morrowind is a well-made but familiar extension to the Elder Scrolls Online universe. Although "more of the same" has a negative tone to it, it is hard to complain when a huge island filled with exciting adventure awaits. However, it would have been nice with an updated combat system and some new game mechanics that would bring some needed freshness to the gameplay.

With Dirt 4 Codemasters tries to cater fans of both the unforgivingly excellent Dirt Rally and the more accessible Dirt 3. It works a lot better than we initially thought, but it also leads to a somewhat lacking experience that does a lot of things right - but few things perfectly.

Motion controllers isn’t always the best way to go, but in Arms they really add something to the gameplay. It may not be perfect – certainly not for those who prefer to play alone – but it feels like a fresh, and accessible, take on the fighting genre.

It's not tough to be impressed by Injustice 2. Those who prefer to play alone have a ton of content with a varied degree of difficulty to conquer, while those who prefer real opponents have a robust online mode with several smart features to explore. Whether you are an amateur who play for fun or a professional there is something for you to do. And who doesn’t want to give Superman a slap in the face?

Tekken 7’s greatest strength is being accessible to all type of players, whether you are a beginner or long time fan of the series. The addition of the Rage mechanics and a full-fledged story mode makes it an even more complete package, perfect for all and not just fighting game fans.

Although the original developer Psygnosis does not exist anymore, Wipeout is better than ever - and we sincerely hope that Wipeout Omega Collection is not the last entry in the series.

Fire Emblem has become one of the best RPG series in modern times, sadly Fire Emblem Echoes is the weakest installment so far. It lacks the depth from Fire Emblem Fates, and the combat system isn't nearly as fun.

Although Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers uses the same graphics from HD Remix, it’s got enough content to stand on it’s own. But we wonder why they included the atrocious Way of the Hado mini game instead of putting those resources to the main game.

The Surge is something really promising – challenging but fair with a strong sense of progression. At the same time the story, characters and game world is uninspiring and boring. Right now it’s only a descent Dark Souls tribute without a strong identity of its own.

Little Nightmares is a perfect balanced experience with around five hours of gameplay. It has some flaws, but the atmosphere and the unique setting makes up for that. If you are in need for something short and interesting, you should give this one a try.

Even though Dragon Quest Heroes II might not feel like a full fledged sequel, it fixes our main gripes of the first game and offers an enjoyable adventure filled with charm and flashy but somewhat repetitive battles.

Prey really wants to be the strange science fiction cousin to Dishonored, with varied combat and deep world building. Arkane Studios has really succeeded with the latter. It's easy to tolerate the lackluster combat when Talos 1 is such a fascinating place to visit.

With fast-paced battles, creativity and deep mechanics, Bayonetta has always been one of our favorite action games. The PC version adds 60 frames per second, and is therefore the best way to experience the game. Still a masterpiece.

Mario Kart 8 for Wii U was the best game in the series so far, and with this Deluxe edition it has gotten even better. The redesigned battle mode is a brilliant addition, with fun stages and some new mechanics. To be able to finally play Mario Kart 8 outside of your home makes it worth buying, even if you have already spent hundreds of hours with it before.

This spiritual sequel to the original point-and-clicker Maniac Mansion sets the mood, brings out the joke book (both literally and figuratively) and takes us on a journey through adventure game history, while still managing to make it feel fresh and hysterically fun.

It has been almost 20 years since Parappa the Rapper, and many of us still have good memories from it. Sadly, Parappa the Rapper doesn't hold up in 2017, mostly because some really poor mechanics. Do yourself a favor: don't buy this, and keep the memories as they were.

Yooka-Laylee is in every way a love letter to the platform genre of the 90's. There is tons of stuff to do, funny looking characters everywhere and new surprises behind every corner. On the negative side there are some technical issues along with a struggling camera. But overall, if you are a fan of Banjo-Kazooie, you're probably going to have plenty of fun with this.

After more than eight years Persona 5 is finally here – and it is well-worth the wait. The lengthy adventure never gets boring thanks to a fantastic combat system, great characters and lots of different things to do. While it may not be perfect, it is the best and most accessible Persona game yet – and the best Japanese role playing game in many years.

With an outstanding combat system For Honor offers a unique take on medieval action games. The combat truly excels against other players online and it is apparent that the online mode is where your time should be spent. Offline players, however, will not find much to do except hammering around in a repetitive story mode.
