Strider will satisfy those who didn´t play the arcade game, but it suffers under its repetitive design, lack of enemy variety, generic look and problematic input.

To make a name for itself in a well-established genre is no easy task. Tropical Freeze manages to do that by achieving rock solid level design and being thorough in almost every aspect. It's a shame that its co-op is not as polished as the rest of the game.

A faulty experience due to its uninspired side-quests and flawed time limit system, Lightning Returns is an Apocalypse devoid of transcendence or passion.

Left Behind does a great job to complement a game that seemed impossible to improve. Even if there are few new mechanics, it's hard to complain when you have such a solid base from where to build an interesting setting.

Fun and simple, but not condescending, OlliOlli is a great addition to the PS Vita library of games. Some players will get frustrated by its abrupt learning curve, but once you pass that point the title is very enjoyable.

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood's charm lies in its unique creation system and the way it uses the marker to solve puzzles throughout the levels. Its ability to challenge the player's creativity plus its beautiful visuals, make this platformer a great option for any Xbox One owner.

Bravely Default represents a solid revival of Square's old-school JRPGs with an extremely competent execution and rich, elaborate combat mechanics. However, it suffers from narrative stiffness, bad dialogue, unsympathetic characters and an altogether tiredness in it's cliché-ridden story.

With an inspiring art direction, a relentless but interesting game design and a good combat system, The Banner Saga only suffers from a lack of variety in its fighting scenarios and its slow caravan sequences. This solid Kickstarter game shows its pedigree but some players might not get charmed by its particular setting.

Young Justice: Legacy proves once again that making a game just for the sake of taping into the appetite for another product, in this case, the cartoon, is a bad idea. Freedom Factory neglected the game all around and only the most enthusiastic fans of the cancelled TV series will enjoy it to some extent.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z proposes an interesting idea reflected in 4 vs 4 combat. However, it is poorly executed and without the minimum attention in the balance of its game mechanics and characters. Besides, it has several camera issues, the lock-on function is not very accurate and there are few combo options, which ends up offering one of the less attractive games based on the legendary Akira Toriyama's animation.

As a twin stick shooter, Halo: Spartan Assault is a decent game, but as an iteration to the Halo series, it leaves much to be desired both in story and content. Spartan Assault offers 30 short missions that, without the skulls, are an easy challenge for the player. The coop missions are the only pleasant additions, but there are only 5, in top of that, completing them also takes a very short time. Maybe if the single player missions from the campaign had received the same treatment, but that was not the case.

The charm of the Mario Party series was always bringing together a group of people in front of the T.V, to spend an enjoyable time going through boards and minigames. Island Tour, however, restricts that fun to the players by being a portable version. It's a title that disguises the features of other Mario Party games and offers them like they were new. It's a boring party with a serious lack of modes and online multiplayer.

Polyphony Digital had three years to truly work on this game and they delivered the same experience as Gran Turismo 5 just with some minor tweaks. Gran Turismo 6 feels more like an expansion rather than a brand new game. It's very disappointing for true racing fans.

Ubisoft did it again. Rocksmith 2014 Edition is a great and fun way to learn how to play guitar. Learn with lessons, songs you like or the fun Guitarcade mode, it's your choice. So far, Rocksmith 2014 Edition is a great guitar teacher right in your living room.

Maybe LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is cartoonish, childish and offers few innovations, but it is certainly one of the best games based on the Marvel Universe in recent years due to fan service and the great mechanics that only the LEGO formula can offer.

Hiromasa Shikata assumes for the first time the challenge of directing a Zelda title. The result will please fans of both the classic action-0oriented Zelda and the puzzle oriented Zelda of Aonuma. Beautiful art direction, great music and the triumphant return of some classic features of the series make this Zelda one of the most memorable additions to the franchise.

Rivals is a solid racing game. It doesn't matter if you just want to finish the campaign, level up or compete with your friends, you won't be able to drop the controller. On the other hand, AllDrive is a great feature that takes the whole experience to a complete new level.

Maybe Double Helix didn't choose the best model to bring back this beloved Franchise to life, but they certainly did a great job maintaining everything that fans loved from the original game. Killer Instinct fans shouldn't let this game pass without, at least, trying it.

Ryse represents all that is wrong with the current AAA videogame model: it's epic, but superfluous; its main game mechanics are shallow and boring; its plot is full of Hollywood clichés and, in the end, it feels more like a marketing tool than a real effort to provide gamers with something meaningful and with value.

Shadow Fall had the challenge of convincing gamers to buy a PS4 during its launch window, and it almost succeeded. While the game definitely showcases the impressive processing power of the PS4 and presents a solid and fun campaign, there are some aspects that feel incomplete. Some game mechanics, like the rappel ability, feel so out of place that they make us wonder what would have happened with a few more months of development. At the end, this is a good and solid, but forgettable, launch title.

Assassin's Creed IV is one of the best games in the series. The sheer size of the world and the fact that you can take your ship and just sail away, blow a few enemy ships to oblivion, catch a great white shark, take control of a fort and be back in time to continue the main story gives you a great sense of freedom.
