Sonic Origins has done an amazing job to modernize these classic games, and it will be the definitive way we’ll play them in the future, but we think that some old school fans of Sonic might doubt if it’s worth it.

With New Super Luigi U, Nintendo showed us once more that game design is its main concern. Even though it seems that the developers only tweaked small bits of the game, like Luigi's movement or the length of some levels, at the end those small changes really impact the whole experience. This DLC adds a lot of content to the original game, although some things feel rushed, like the story that justifies Luigi's being the protagonist in the first place.

Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra turns a complex genre like the MOBA into an accessible and entertaining experience without losing depth in the process, while also paying tribute to Akira Toriyama’s work. Although it features a limited starting roster, few game modes, and monetization that restricts access to key content, this may very well be one of the series’ best purely online games.

Even after 13 hours of gameplay Outlast 2 continues to be a frightening experience. The game has some design problems, of course, but the flaws are forgiven when you get a true survival horror atmosphere all the way to the end.

New Pokémon Snap takes what made the original special, but doesn’t add or changes much. It is a fun experience and fans will be happy with this new entry, but they shouldn’t expect more than a simple and arcade experience with tedious progression.

Despite the criticisms and mistakes that the franchise has suffered in its period of greatest success but also of greatest comfort, EA Sports FC 24 is a good football game that demonstrates the intention to grow and fulfill its expectations. fans of the most famous and passionate sport in the world. The new stuff does stand out and strangely fulfills the objective of making you feel like you are in a new football experience that does not deny its past. There are areas to address and improvements to consider, but overall, EA Sports FC 24 is a solid soccer offering that you won't be surprised to see rise to the top right away.

Resident Evil 3 is a different monster compared to last year release. While it lost some of his tetric atmosphere, a sense or urgency is gained in the form of Nemesis, a hulkin powerhose behind your heels. However, its short campaign, lack of replayability and forgettable multiplayer, will make this year Resident Evil a hard sell.

As an immersive experience, Draugen is a pleasant surprise for those who seek to contemplate, explore and enter the reconstruction of a story of drama and tragedy. Although its limits are evident, Red Thread Games knew how to make the most of its resources, delivering a work that promises to be the beginning of great projects for the future. Graavik is a beautiful place, the soundtrack is impeccable and the story is very interesting, it is definitely an experience you have to live.

SMITE is the first MOBA ever to perform great on console. Definitely, the third person perspective is what the genre needed to excel in home systems and controller schemes, which represents a breath of fresh air on Xbox One.

Little Nightmares is a small game with a really great atmosphere. It may be best described as an early Tool video with a French stop motion short film scored by Danny Elfman and a pinch of a twisted version of Spirited Away. This mixture gives the game a lot of personality and makes it unique. Character design is simply superb and really adds to the overall eerie feeling of the game. Environmental puzzles are a little bit too simple, and that is its only strong shortcoming. We really enjoyed every creepy second of this game and wished it would be a bit longer. In short, Little Nightmares is a great interactive experience that is difficult to find anywhere else.

Souldiers fulfills the elements of a Metroidvania and has its own touch that allows it to offer something different. It is rare that a game of this type does not comply and this is not the case, so if you are looking for an adventure of this type and with an attractive challenge, Souldiers is a good option.

Made and payed by fans, Broken Age is the best testimony of an era in which niche games go through the influence and approval of the community. The result is a solid title with calculated charm despite the lack of soul found in the classics of the genre.

Marvel Rivals understands that "if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it". While it borrows a lot of ideas from its competitors, it stands out thanks to its excellent roster of characters and some innovative systems, like team abilities. Most importantly, it’s incredibly fun and has great potential to expand with new heroes, game modes and more. Watch out, Overwatch... you have a new rival.

Rhythm Heaven Megamix may not look like other flashy rhythm games, but its simplistic presentation and gameplay mechanics work really well. Thanks to its many composers, the music selection feels diverse, despite focusing only on the pop genre. Overall, it is a great game for new comers and serves as a collection of greatest hits for the players that follow the series since its inception on the NDS.

Despite some hoping for EA Sports FC 26's crucifixion, the reality is that it's a good soccer game that offers a more polished experience than in recent years. All the rehashes and reworks are evident, but so are the areas for improvement that seek to find the balance between simulation, fun, and gameplay. Its limitations, errors, and oversights are fewer than in recent releases, and if we translate the experience to what happens on the field, the result is satisfactory.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Tides modernizes a divisive entry in the series with improved combat, progression, and added content. While the remake is more fun and accessible than the original, some changes affect narrative pacing and emotional impact. Dark Tides complements the package with a brief but engaging prequel focused on Yoshitaka Mine, adding valuable context to the overall experience.

Both episodes of Burial at Sea develop different and interesting aspects of the BioShock franchise: stealth and the opportunity to visit Rapture in all its glory. Maybe the second episode is the best in terms of new game mechanics, but the first one does a wonderful job at complementing the excellent plot first established by BioShock Infinite.
