Gust and Koei Tecmo achieved a great remake of Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg. They faithfully adapted the features of the original 1997 game while adding modernized gameplay, quality of life improvements, better graphics, and an endearing art direction. The JRPG combat system remains, though it may become repetitive later in the adventure, but exploration benefits from new features.- LevelUp

While it suffers in aspects of level design and uninspired use of Garrett's inventory, Thief delivers a unique stealth experience that lives up to the original game, but not quite.- LevelUp

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is here to indulge fans of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Its frenetic action-packed system is smoothly enjoyed and the narrative helps keep you glued to control. Unfortunately, it is not perfect and suffers from technical problems that, although not serious, affect the experience, especially in cooperative mode. A good option if you like the Musou genre.- LevelUp

PES 2018 is a solid football experience but realism on the pitch can't make up for the lack of added value, general innovation, licenses and design flaws forever. The clock is ticking and PES is evolving too slowly by today standards.- LevelUp

State of Decay 2 fulfills its premise without being too pretentious as an entry point to the misunderstood zombie survival genre. It is best enjoyed when you step out the safety of your comfort zone to face the horrors of the zombie apocalypse, at least until the experience becomes repetitive.- LevelUp

NBA 2K22 exceeds what was achieved in the previous year, and although it does not represent a radical change for the franchise, it has everything necessary to satisfy NBA fans. For better and for worse, the game has everything players love about NBA 2K, but also everything they hate.- LevelUp

Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 are timeless classics that defined 3D platforming, now back on Switch with native support for both docked and handheld play. While the gameplay and level design remain stellar, the remaster offers only minor improvements and a steep $70 price that may leave longtime fans questioning Nintendo’s approach. For newcomers, however, these are still essential Mario adventures.- LevelUp

Stray is a charming adventure that achieves satisfactorily its goals. With exception of some bugs, its problems are far from being factors that ruin the experience of the player. It's Certainly a very enjoyable and relaxing exploration game with a cool cast of characters and an engaging story. And yes, if you are a kitty fan you will fall in love with the protagonist.- LevelUp

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's combination of modes is an easy recommendation for long time enthusiasts. However, the campaign feels really short and not up to expectations, and multiplayer modes feel hastily put together and thrown around without real consideration of what works and what does not.- LevelUp

A Hat in Time is not the best platform game of this year, but it surprises us with degrees of experimentation and gameplay variety. Gears for Breakfast debut title is not only recommended for those who yearns the golden age of old school 3D platformers, but also those who want the experience from the past fused with modern designed elements.- LevelUp

Lienzo delivered a game that feels very different to anything currently on the market. The title has a lot of identity, both in concept and in gameplay. It's fun in combat, but also outside of the main missions when the player is allowed to just fly around. Even if there is not much to discover in the world, it is fun to explore and not many games can brag about that. Aztech Forgotten Gods] is a short game and relatively easy, but very solid and entertaining and great evidence of the potential of video game development in Latin America. I highly recommend the adventure for those who enjoy fast paced action games and have a low tolerance for frustration.- LevelUp

Land of the Morning Light delivers a captivating and enchanting adventure, making it an essential expansion for Black Desert Online veterans. While it doesn't address all long-standing issues, it offers compelling content, immersive storytelling, and intense boss battles. It also serves as a great entry point for newcomers seeking a smaller and accessible experience. Overall, it's a must-play MMO expansion that immerses players in the folklore of South Korea.- LevelUp

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon offers a fun and memorable experience. Even though the lack of a second analog stick damages combat, and ghosts does not have their own personalities and context, Luigi and professor E. Gadd rescue some of the franchise's original charisma, and the basic game mechanic of capturing ghosts still is very addictive.- LevelUp

Born of Bread ends up as a good RPG game and a fun experience. If you are not demanding with this type of proposals, it is an option to consider, but even more so if you have you have been distant from the genre because of the turn-based combat and everything that has to be done in the menus. In the end, this adventure made of bread serves as a good video game, remembering that there is a lot of value in turning to the past to bring it to the present in a proposal with its own soul.- LevelUp

After years of ups and downs, Madden NFL 26 seems to be on the right track. The improvements are noticeable, both in the visuals, gameplay, and presentation. It's finally a next-gen release, and the best part is that it has a homegrown competition that, in theory, should drive development to improve and meet fan demands. It will undoubtedly be a good season for football fans.- LevelUp

As you would expect from a point and click game, almost the complete value of Life is Strange resides on its narrative. There are a few moments in which gameplay takes center stage, but it ends up being crushed by the intensity of the story and the development of the characters. Having said that, in order to really enjoy the experience, you better play the complete game, as it is getting better with each chapter.- LevelUp

Final Bar is an encore for Final Fantasy fans. Its control has successfully transitioned from touchscreen to traditional control and maintains a good level of difficulty. Although there is a long list of available songs, there are few modes and rewards for casual players. It is a full-fledged rhythm game that stands out from the rest due to its RPG elements.- LevelUp

WWE 2K26 has a nice balance between adding new elements and tweaking its formula while respecting what has worked for years. Each year, it demonstrates why the series is the best wrestling simulator on the market, and this time it gets so close to realism that there are even a couple of annoying things. Clearly, it's an imperfect title, but the elements that work fine are pure quality.- LevelUp

Phantom Liberty is a quality experience worth experiencing. It has that dark narrative with complex characters and high quality side content that we've come to expect from CD Projekt RED. That said, it also makes some mistakes that allow us to realize that it's a game as flawed, raw and gripping as life in Night City.- LevelUp
