Tri-Uni straddles the unfortunate border of mediocrity. It isn't good, but it isn't bad. Hardcore JRPG fans might want to give it a home, but those that only pick the best of the genre should rather leave it on the store shelves.

Mini Ninjas for the DS has its good moments, but it has a lot more bad ones. Every once in a while you're handed a fun platforming segment, but more often you're thrown into repetitive fights with the same boring enemies you've been fighting the whole game.

Spider-Man: Friend or Foe is a good idea on paper, but in simplifying the engine they have used in their other Marvel-based games, Activision may have done the game too much of a disservice. All in all, Dark Void falls short of the expectations set forth by largely ignoring what makes itself stand out and muddling with gameplay mechanics that are average. There isn't much use trying to analyze the content in this combo pack of games. It feels so far removed from the arcade roots that it would be hard to believe that these were once a bonafied exhilarating arcade experience. The only saving grace is the $30 price point, which is essentially the price of two downloadable game titles. Still, without the smoke and mirrors of a busy arcade, this pack of games shows how shallow they are at the core.
