The tried and true gameplay, excellent controls, detailed graphics and online play add up to a great package for gamers. However the difficulty and dated look of some of the graphics and sound effects will have non-SNK fans looking elsewhere for their fighting fix.
-
The Xbox Live will keep you happy for a very long time. There are some issues with the Xbox controller. Maybe I just have fat fingers, but I think it is best if you use a larger Arcade controller.
-
The issue with SVC Chaos is that while it has a great deal of pick-up-and-play it severely suffers from an absence of any longevity outside of its online component. SVC Chaos feels more like the beginning of something really exciting, but falls far from containing anything of real substance.
-
The game's poor graphics and sound really sour what's a solid package, and makes the game's $50 price tag hard to swallow.
-
A decent fighter with a stripped down fighting system that some may prefer over fancier, more combo-studded variations. Stripped down pretty much describes this game well in most respects.
-
I don't know why SNK Playmore put so little effort into SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom. When compared to so many of the other fighting games they have developed and produced, and also Capcom's line of fighters, this easily becomes the low point of 2D fighting in recent years.
-
Fails for a few different reasons, but the big one is a simple lack of consistency. A good fighting game is governed by clear, well-defined rules and directed through precise, responsive commands. Chaos doesn't have either.
