Everybody who plays this game will see how much time IO-Interactive invested in it. A great game – except the controls!
-
A unique and meaningful experience, regardless of comparisons to those other titles.
-
Overall, there is a good deal to like about Mini Ninjas.
-
The result is an uneven hodge-podge where the ninja concept isn't particularly fresh and where the good bits are undermined by the game’s undeniable issues in the areas of feedback, controls and targeting.
-
Nintendo PowerIt's a cute game, but too many issues make Mini Ninjas less fun than it should be. [Nov 2009, p.81]
-
Mini Ninjas on DS is an incredible disappointment. There are clearly some great ideas present in the game, and the story set-up is built upon a solid foundation. Once you push the start button on this machine, however, it breaks down and falls in on itself.
-
Mini Ninjas for the DS has its good moments, but it has a lot more bad ones. Every once in a while you're handed a fun platforming segment, but more often you're thrown into repetitive fights with the same boring enemies you've been fighting the whole game.
