This iPad version is without a doubt the ultimate portable version of Divinity: Original Sin II Definitive Edition. We may regret that only Mac players can keep their progress and that only PC and macOS players can play together. But these are the only sacrifices made on this version. As beautiful as ever, as imposing as ever and as rich as ever, Larian's monumental RPG is perfectly playable on the touchscreen and even has the luxury of keeping the local co-op once two pads are connected to the Apple tablet. This incredible adventure is now accessible wherever you want, without concessions.- Jeuxvideo.com

What to say, what to do... if not to bow humbly in front of so much talent. Larian Studios once again proves its expertise in the field of role-playing games and even manages to sublimate the rich and complex universe of Dungeons & Dragons. Baldurs' Gate 3 is quite simply the best D&D video game adaptation ever made. This adventure “of which you are the hero” shines with its generosity, its mastery of the codes of the genre and this constant desire to surpass oneself. BG3 can boast of being the ultimate video game experience for role-players, but not only. Admittedly, this RPG requires a good PC to play in optimal conditions and proves to be a bit tough to learn, especially for the uninitiated. But to play Baldur's Gate III is to create your own story, a story that belongs only to you. Just for that (and more), the pleasure is total!- Jeuxvideo.com

With its new open-world dimension, Elden Ring brilliantly fleshes out FromSoftware's already highly effective formula and offers Souls a spiritual sequel that is both ambitious and accessible. All the new features converge towards this last objective: the open world allows you to arm yourself more than ever with the epic and obligatory fights that the adventure reserves, without having the impression of walking around just to farm. And the best part is that it doesn't compromise the sense of accomplishment so important to the genre. Elden Ring is a complete, mysterious experience, where curiosity is tirelessly renewed by the feeling of discovering something for the first time. All with a sumptuous artistic direction, which makes you want to get lost, to explore. The title also welcomes new features that offer strategic choices in combat, without betraying their requirement. We only regret a slight lack of ambition for certain Legacy Dungeons, as well as the recycling of some assets and bosses. Overall, an exceptional title.- Jeuxvideo.com

Baldur's Gate 3 on PlayStation 5 has nothing to envy with Baldur's Gate 3 on PC. Larian Studios didn't sacrifice its RPG to run it on Sony's console. This role-playing game retains all of the content of the PC version (even local cooperation via split screen) and offers an optimal controller experience. The few faults of BG3 are still present (in particular the “pad” interface), but for the rest, it is flawless.- Jeuxvideo.com

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a new masterpiece that makes Breath of the Wild, one of the best games of all time, look like a draft. By following in the footsteps of its predecessor, it is no longer a “revolution” of course, but it completes the player experience in an epic dimension that has no equal. The feeling of freedom, the feeling of living your own adventure without constraint, these are the great strengths of a game with an absolutely exceptional lifespan. Tears of the Kingdom is discovered over time, little by little, so much so that it will still have things to reveal to us for years to come. It is a jewel of absolute purity and definitely, adventure with a capital A.- Jeuxvideo.com

Shadow of the ErdTree is a video game in itself that carries with it all the qualities of the original title. It’s true, we can note some imperfections. The plot would have deserved a bit more spotlight. In the same way, a more readable map would not have been lacking. Negative points that are crushed by a mastered level design, a journey that constantly renews curiosity and always epic fights. If the Occult Tree of Shadow of the ErdTree is in the shadow of its namesake from Between the Earth, the DLC has everything to shine in the same spotlight as the original video game. Shadow of the ErdTree is much more than the additional content of Elden Ring: it is an exceptional adventure in its own right.- Jeuxvideo.com

Hades II succeeds in this crazy gamble of respecting the essence of its predecessor while adding layers: enriched gameplay, deeper narrative, reinforced artistic direction, grandiose soundtrack. That said, the game does not completely transcend repetitiveness—cycle after cycle, run after run, we end up recognizing the same biomes, the same room constructions, the same visual motifs—which can limit the wonder after long sessions. If you accept this condition—that repetition is part of the journey—then you will live an adventure blessed by the Gods.- Jeuxvideo.com

Trust us, you'll love experiencing the prophetic end of the world in God of War Ragnarok. This new episode contains a moving, epic, generous and extremely dense epic. Santa Monica does at least very well in every aspect of its game and promises to make you feel a string of emotions, enough to brush aside its few weaknesses. And then if the sensations in terms of gameplay are not upset by drastic changes, they remain exceptional and are filled with very beautiful additions. No doubt: Resident Evil 4 Remake is simply an excellent horror action game and Capcom proves, for the umpteenth time, its ability to produce a controlled adventure with an exemplary finish. The basics of the original game couldn't be more solid, but the firm has been able to modernize the whole thing to make the adventure more intense, deeper in its game systems and even more thrilling. Was a remake necessary? Maybe not, but impossible to spit on this impressive version, which knows how to honor the original material as well as to bring it a rejuvenation that is ultimately very relevant. Finally, if we have a mad desire to finish Resident Evil 4 as soon as possible, it is to start it again immediately.- Jeuxvideo.com

Capitalizing on fan service, this Resident Evil resurrects the dead as much as memories, but could it have been otherwise with Leon confronted by his eternal demons? Silksong isn't the revolution of a decade like Breath of the Wild or possibly GTA 6. Its difficulty and universe make it a game still reserved for an audience that loves a demanding experience despite a notable effort in its accessibility. Still, in its category, it's a king who has by no means lost his crown. The title oozes the love of its developers from every pore of its skin. In addition to being undisputed in its field, Silksong is an example for all. An example that shows what can be delivered with time and love. Like a caterpillar, the developers of Team Cherry isolated themselves in their cocoon. In spring 2020, there was hope: that of seeing a crazy dream come true thanks to Final Fantasy VII Remake. This same hope, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth transforms it into a consecration. A gameplay of formidable efficiency here sublimated, a rhythm better managed despite some clumsiness, a staging which awakens in us a whole range of emotions and, above all, an adventure which, even if it overflows with love for the version original, shines for what it is and carries us away as much as in 1997, if not even more. With Rebirth, Final Fantasy has perhaps found the ideal formula to tell us a story, while leaving us free to experience it at our own pace. As in any rebirth, there is a before and an after, and this emerging future already promises to be exhilarating as Final Fantasy VII Rebirth already has all the qualities to be considered the ultimate game in the saga.- Jeuxvideo.com

Driven by their passion for role-playing games, the young team at Sandfall Interactive has transformed this first attempt into a stroke of genius. With the tip of their brush, dipped in paint materialized thanks to the talent of their teams, the Montpellier studio has proven that a video game with a modest budget can overshadow the greatest RPGs. I had high expectations for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and the adventure has met all my expectations, managing to constantly amaze me thanks to its universe and its gameplay and continually surprising me through its storyline. Few video games have moved me so much. There is a before and after Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and some of its scenes will never leave me. No, Sandfall Interactive's title is not a daub, it is a fresco as sublime as a Renoir painting.- Jeuxvideo.com

Tekken 8 is full of excitement and we loved it! Technically, in both substance and form, the Bandai Namco fighting game is a gem of the genre. If it sometimes lacks a little originality in terms of content, but there is still a lot of it, it all makes it one of the best 3D fighting games of recent years. Its new features in terms of gameplay are enough to stand out from previous opuses and hold its own against its competitors, all with vast content that is still substantial enough to play for dozens of hours. And as long as you are addicted to online confrontations, Tekken 8 really has something to satisfy and challenge you for a very, very long time! The whole is also served by an absolutely magnificent production which immediately immerses you in extremely aggressive and intense battles.- Jeuxvideo.com

Split Fiction stands out as an exceptional cooperative experience, true to the promise of a creator who has never lacked confidence in his project, and rightly so. If the plot remains relatively classic, it is really only there to serve a gameplay that reveals remarkable inventiveness and intensity. Hazelight manages to constantly renew the experience, offering a multitude of situations with crazy ideas and memorable sequences. The game shines with its frenetic pace, its lack of gameplay loop and its ability to surprise the player until the end. Split Fiction is a true technical and artistic tour de force, where the dazzling artistic direction and ingenious level design combine to offer a very great, fun and immersive spectacle.- Jeuxvideo.com

And for 7 years, they were able to create a video game in the image of silk: light, soft, strong, which will undoubtedly stand the test of time.- Jeuxvideo.com

Addictive, varied, precise, coherent, relevant, Rogue Legacy 2 serves as the ideal sequel to the cult 2013 game that popularized rogue-lite. But more than doing better on absolutely every level (classes, weapons, traits), the Cellar Door Games studio is setting a new benchmark in the genre thanks to a clever mix of metroidvania and randomly generated levels. It's simple, the whole thing works like hell. Never frustrating, always giving the feeling of moving forward, constantly reviving the pleasure of the game with different powers and heroes to embody, Rogue Legacy 2 returns and marks the rogue-lite with a red iron. Spider-Man 2 is a very successful mainstream blockbuster, which will easily please fans of the license. The adventure is more explosive than ever, with technique that is sometimes truly impressive, a New York twice as big as in the past and even more in-depth side missions. That being said, Insomniac relies a little too much on the strengths (and weaknesses) of previous games, missing the opportunity to take the gameplay and writing a little further. In the end, it lacks a bit of momentum, of material to give life to a second episode that meets our expectations, but we still had an excellent time.- Jeuxvideo.com

The result is a "definitive" version of the game from a technical point of view which offers a slightly finer rendering than on PS5 Pro, even in Ultra. On the other hand, it is rather at the level of keyboard/mouse controls that the experience remains largely better with the controller. In any case, the PC port of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth remains an excellent way to discover the title while waiting for the third and final part of the FF7 remake planned in a few years.- Jeuxvideo.com

Sea of Stars has everything from an excellent tribute to the biggest names in Japanese role-playing games of the 90s. A well-paced story, a cast of characters to which we quickly become attached for their assumed personalities. It manages to do the same amazing job as its role models, thanks to its jaw-dropping art direction and adventure-perfect soundtrack. If the fights are engaging and push the player to think about each confrontation, they tend to lengthen the good dynamics of the title. It is especially by the lack of evolution of gameplay for the characters that the players will be able to find a certain weariness. If Sea of Stars is therefore not as revolutionary as its spiritual masters in their time, it should still have a place of choice on a shelf of your toy library in 2023. It may well establish itself as the independent game of the year if Silksong remains discreet or even claim prices from much fiercer competition. More than a great performance for a UFO from the 90s.- Jeuxvideo.com

In short, we would like all remasters to be like The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. Here, Naughty Dog intelligently expands the content of the PS4 masterpiece, with - already - behind the scenes everything (Lost Levels, audio comments) and above all, a roguelite mode which really wowed us. It's simply the perfect excuse to dive back into the universe and visceral action of Part 2, with a lifespan now extended from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Even the small graphics boost, in 4K Native, has its effect - despite a slightly disappointing 30 FPS (even with VRR). In the end, a remaster that doesn't make fun of us at all.- Jeuxvideo.com

With Requiem, the grand finale is complete: Capcom unites all fans of its saga in a bloody communion, whether they prefer first-person horror or over-the-shoulder action. Capitalizing on fan service, this Resident Evil resurrects the dead as much as memories, but could it have been otherwise with Leon confronted by his eternal demons? Admittedly, Requiem rehashes old ideas, but it brilliantly succeeds in its gamble of delivering two games in one, even if the story is once again a flimsy excuse for all sorts of extravagances. Beautiful, generous, well-paced, comprehensive, and designed to satisfy longtime fans, Resident Evil Requiem is devoured like a rich, over-the-top compilation with extra ketchup.- Jeuxvideo.com

Monster Hunter Wilds continues the momentum of Monster Hunter World to offer a more open and fluid experience than ever. Thanks to its vast expansive areas, we have even more the feeling of evolving in credible and living ecosystems to enjoy its original bestiary. Besides that, Monster Hunter Wilds improves the well-oiled gameplay of the series by adding new movements for each of the 14 weapons and especially the focus mode which really changes the way of approaching hunting. And if we can salute the care given to the rather nice story, we can still regret that this new episode does not better accompany new players to discover the codes of the saga, once again. Despite this, one thing is certain, it has never been as pleasant to get into Monster Hunter as it is today.- Jeuxvideo.com
