Considering there are not many platforming games on the PS4, this is a wonderful title that is worth picking up. If you haven’t played Wonder Boy, that is another title worth getting into and Monster Boy is a brilliant successor to it. Old school fun is back!- Impulsegamer

Overall, the game offers a great experience that even though I got tired of after a few hours, I came back to multiple times. The game modes give a solid bit of excitement, but the real fun to me came from the online experience and special vehicles you can use to cause real destruction. I would give the game an overall 4 out of 5. I give it this based on its overall gameplay falling a little short in variety to me, but keep in mind that leaves plenty of room for them to eventually improve on the game.- Impulsegamer

The retro game style seems a great choice for The Rocky Horror Picture Show game, the side scrolling and chip tunes almost create their own Time Warp! Though some game play elements can be annoying and frustrating to have to attempt over and over… the fact there is no death means it’s not nearly as annoying as it could have been. For fans of the musical or the movie there’s enough here to give quite a few grins of acknowledgement. A nice little game that’s not too pricey, not overly long but a decent bit of fun with some enjoyable familiar tunes in chiptune style. Grab it if you’re a fan of the show or just enjoy sidescrolling platformers.- Impulsegamer

There is no semblance of a tutorial or anything to ease you into this multi-faceted game. Everything about Daemon X Machina works to make you feel like a central character in your own mecha anime. The visuals and the soundtrack immediately immerse you into the world, while the frantic gameplay and mechanics make you feel like a genuine mech pilot. The story is absurdly serious and undeniably cheesy, which is likely to polarise players – as will the intensely crowded HUD and somewhat unwieldy control scheme. Some players will take one look at the screenshots and begin to tremble at the thought of keeping track of all those stats and meters, while others will relish the experience of customising and piloting their own mech. Either way, Daemon X Machina is worth checking out and with a free demo available on the eShop, you’ve got nothing to lose.- Impulsegamer

Overall if you like the recent Shantae games you will like Seven Sirens. Do not expect anything game changing from this game as it is more of a follow on continuation from the previous game in terms of style and substance. As a concept I give the game full marks… the idea of learning a language via something as fun as gaming is brilliant. Unfortunately it’s a little rough around the edges and that might put some people off… but if you are keen to learn a new language (and there are a number on offer here)… this just might be good for helping supplement other forms of learning. I’m not sure it would be enough on its own… but it would certainly be a nice break from book after book after book. Worth a look if you want to get into learning other languages… but don’t expect it to be a total solution.- Impulsegamer

Overall it’s not a bad game… but I certainly wouldn’t be paying full price for it. The basic gameplay sees you moving from one room to another, collecting items where required and otherwise basically working out puzzles. It is utterly solid, compelling to play, and at a price point you cannot argue with. It is also pretty cheap to buy comparative to other titles, and whilst not a AAA title, looks and plays like one. Slinger VR works on a few levels at least (no pun intended… well maybe a little). The first is the core game which is a progressively more challenging puzzle world with growing dangers as you move further through the worlds. But the second is just the fun of being able to fling yourself around a landscape and you really do get that web slinger feel (yet totally devoid of anything that might be deemed copyright infringing!). To top it all off, the price is pretty decent for what you get too. If you want a bit of grappling, swinging VR fun… I would recommend Slinger VR!- Impulsegamer

This is a great game if you are interested in learning about the deep sea and the creatures that inhabit it. There isn’t much of a ‘story’ happening here but that’s not really needed when the main task of the game is the learn and explore. Metro Awakening is a solid VR title and a fantastic addition to the Metro series. As a fan of both the Metro books and games, being immersed in the world so completely was always an exciting prospect, and Vertigo did not disappoint. The Arizona Sunshine dev has created a highly detailed and almost palpable VR version of Glukhovsky’s doomed transit-system-come-fallout-shelter that is as compelling as it is terrifying. Ultimately, I love the Civilization franchise, I love what this new DLC can offer… but I hate the way games are broken up and sold as parts to make more money. I wouldn’t be too comfortable paying the price for two new civilizations, especially knowing that there was more content in that purchase that I couldn’t use unless I also paid for another DLC. If you are a die hard fan… you are likely to get this (maybe wait for a sale or get it in a pack)… but otherwise you have to ask yourself if you are really going to get enough out of playing through the game with a couple of new civilizations to justify the price tag.- Impulsegamer

The simplicity of controls and navigation in Minecraft would suggest that it is geared more towards children but with iconic 80s film references and dry humor it can be fun for adults too. Detroit Become Human is one of the great games of 2018. If you are still on the fence about it, then check out the free Demo with the first chapter. This way you can tell if it is your thing or not. After you have finished playing this game and maybe another shot, you’ll be missing this world dearly.- Impulsegamer

In the end, Chorus provided a great experience overall. While a few kinks need working out, the amount of entertainment I got from it greatly surpassed my expectations and will surely satisfy fans of the genre.- Impulsegamer

In the end, Leisure Suit Larry Reloaded is a fun adult game that not only pays homage to the original but gives the modern gaming community something a little different. Sure it's dated here and there and some of the gags fall a little flat but the writing, characters and some of the puzzles are well crafted that will make you laugh, cry in shock and have a truly enjoyable time from start to finish.- Impulsegamer

If you have never played a game like Devil May Cry, God of War or Ninja Gaiden before than you'll definitely enjoy Ninja Blade, however for veteran gamers, they may find it a little stale and repetitive.- Impulsegamer

A fantastic game for playing with friends, but not a game for loners.- Impulsegamer

As a big fan of the series, New Dawn was a welcome return to Hope County, Montana. It didn’t wow, but the new progression system, fixed bugs, tighter maps, and nostalgia factor combine to make for a fun and familiar gameplay experience. Still, if you didn’t care for Far Cry 5 there’s probably not enough here to change your mind.- Impulsegamer

A mixed bag that gets a tentative recommendation, I’ll always welcome new content to one of my favourite games but I'd appreciate it if Team Ninja didn't make it feel like busy work just so I can pop those last few trophies.- Impulsegamer

Vendetta Forever is a unique VR experience in which each enemy is delicately placed and each level is set like a chessboard. The cinematic action and wild variety of scenarios and possibilities encourages arcade veterans to replay each level to get the perfect score and utmost equilibrium between muscle memory and strategic thinking.- Impulsegamer
