Ultimately I came for the matching game and stayed for the stories as there are some really lovely ones here… I think my favourite (so far) was with the cheerleader and her difficult life with her famous mother and sick brother. A big recommendation if you like either visual novels or matching games.

Growing Up is not a bad game. Indeed, what he proposes he does quite well, also offering a certain variety between dialogues, events and minigames. Too bad for the rigidity of certain choices that create absurd situations.

Interesting spin on the "visual novel" genre that is lovingly crafted, but has its issues and is not quite as expansive as the store pageInteresting spin on the "visual novel" genre that is lovingly crafted, but has its issues and is not quite as expansive as the store page makes it out to be. Still, considering the price, it is worth it, and given the casual nature and the topic, also suitable for people just interested in trying out this kind of games, or for those who would be turned off by weeb stuff.

The game has some balance issues though, and it rewards min maxing waaaay too much for what should be a casual experience about (re)exploring life as a teenager.

Слишком упращённо, но было бы интересно увидеть более амбициозное продолжение т.к. тематика у игры интересная Expand

The game is designed to be a constant loop.
First, learning is easy. As baby, you only have one or two things to learn, really. Walking and talking. But later on it gets complicated with school and limited amounts of love interests. While learning is more a "pick the correct property symbol for the class you want" puzzle game, the exams are like "Candy Crush".
I loved this game, especially that you get to play the next generations over and over, until I realized, that the story starts over in the second loop. You meet the same girl, same answers as choices. So content is really limited and in the end I only played a bit over 5 hours.
It's good for what it is but since there's not much story content, I would wait for a discount...

The puzzles and expectations/happiness managementThis had a pretty interesting premise and at the start it was actually a pretty decent game. The puzzles and expectations/happiness management was doable but kinda annoying in some parts. The songs were alright and the characters were fine. Unfortunately in this game the choices you make are not natural and they feel like they are forced, pretty much the entire game premises is forced and you it appears you have very little impact in your choices. I would advise to buy it when its on a discount if you want to chill for a bit. Expand

But the balance (fatigue and money) is totally broken, especially in last part of the game. i finished it 2 times, meet 6 different people with unique storylines. OST is good and fits. Won't pass it 3rd time, because of the balance and too repetitive gameplay. And I was really tired of that minigames again and again.
